The Ahlussunnah: Journal of Islamic Education is dedicated to scholars, teachers, and anyone interested in the evolution of knowledge in Islamic Education. Articles published in the Ahlussunnah: Journal of Islamic Education need to fit with the expectation of scientific rigor concerning the theoretical background and the methodology. Results need to be realistic and embedded in the nowadays Islamic education topic. The topic should fall within, but not be limited to: innovation and technology in Islamic Education, Islamic education figures, and the Quran teaching and learning. The Ahlussunnah: Journal of Islamic Education accepts research and review articles. The methodology used by authors can be qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methods design, it is what makes Islamic education sciences original and relevant. Papers need to make contributions to the current literature on Islamic education. The Ahlussunnah: Journal of Islamic Education normally accepts only English language submissions. In this perspective of international openness, contributions from foreign researchers as well as comparative studies can find their place there. Innovation and technology in Islamic Education application of information technology in Islamic education, development of learning media for Islamic education, design of web and mobile applications for the learning process of Islamic education, and innovation in the learning process of Islamic education and other relevant issues. Islamic education figures-biographies of Islamic education figures, thoughts and ideas of Islamic education figures, relevance and contextualisation of thoughts in the current context, and other relevant issues. the Quran teaching and learning methods in memorizing and learning the Quran, issues in Islamic education teaching, learning methods in Islamic education learning, and other relevant issues.

Abstract

The author's background in conducting this research is because there is a phenomenon that has occurred since the COVID-19 pandemic in the Quran Education teacher strategies have not varied in preparing learning to read the Quran since the covid-19 pandemic, there have been many mistakes made by students in applying tajwid knowledge when reading the Quran, and there have been obstacles in the learning process during covid-19 resulting in learning dynamics both on the part of teachers and students. This research aims to determine the implementation of learning strategies to read the Quran since the COVID-19 pandemic and to find out the obstacles to implementing learning strategies to read the Quran since the COVID-19 pandemic. This type of research uses field research, which is a form of research intended to describe phenomena. Phenomena that exist in the field, whether natural phenomena or human engineering. The object of this research is the implementation of teacher strategies in learning to read the koran since the COVID-19 pandemic. Data collection techniques include interviews, observation, and documentation. The obstacle from parents is that they don't agree with online learning because they don't have the money to buy a package and the network is often lost.

Abstract

Having a person with good morals and being able to respond to various kinds of moral decline that hinder educational development. So its implementation is very necessary as a first step in building the moral education system of the Indonesian nation. The formulation in this research contains an explanation of the concept of cultivating the five souls in the formation of santri morals at Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor, the application of the five souls in forming santri morals at Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor, the application of the five souls in forming santri morals at Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor, as well as factors supporting and inhibiting the five souls in the formation of morals. This type of research is a type of qualitative descriptive research. This research is field research, the methods used are observation, interviews and documentation. The data source for this research is the Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor 9 family. Data analysis used in this research uses a data reduction method which is then presented in descriptive form and verified by drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that the concept of five soul education at Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor 9.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the forms of activities and forms of guidance for class VII students at the Madrasah Tsanawiyah Islamic Boarding School Prof. Dr. Hamka Maninjau. This type of research takes the form of field research using a qualitative descriptive approach, namely research that tries to describe and interpret a situation that is currently occurring in the field. Data collection uses observation, interviews, and documentation. The data sources in this research were the principal of Madrasah Tsanawiyah, tahsin teachers, and class VII students of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Islamic Boarding School, Prof. Dr. Hamka Maninjau. Data were analyzed by triangulation through 3 stages, namely preparation, checking, and evaluation. The conclusion of this research is; i) preparation of teachers and students, namely teaching materials, making syllabi, lesson implementation plans, making concept maps, collecting resources, stationery and tahsin teaching materials needed for teaching such as the Al-Qur'an and memorizing books, ii) equipment prepared is that the teacher makes a syllabus and prepares a learning implementation plan, iii) the media used is that the teacher uses books, whiteboards, and markers during tahsin activities. Meanwhile, the sources used are the Al-Qur'an, memorized books, and the Iqra' book volume iv) the obstacle faced is the lack of time in tahsin activities, v) the type of assessment is oral and written tests. In tahsin guidance there is guidance with halaqqah: i) the approach used by the teacher is the talaqi method, ii) guidance is not always in accordance with the plan that has been made, there are students who already understand and there are also those who do not fully understand the tahsin material, iii) Obstacles that arise found in students' verbal assessments, namely being sleepy and not repeating lessons, iv) students' responses to tahsin guidance can improve how to memorize the Al-Qur'an according to tajwid rules.

Abstract

In fact, in several Islamic boarding schools, the majority can only read the kitab kuning after entering the aliyah class and even then only a small percentage. This research aims to determine the application of the Al-Miftah Lil 'Ulum method at Madrasah Tarbiyah Islamiyah Canduang both in terms of planning, steps, evaluation and supporting and inhibiting factors. This research is field research using a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection was carried out by observing, interviewing, documenting and analyzing data. The results of this research can be concluded as follows: i) planning for the implementation of the Al-Miftah Lil 'Ulum method at Madrasah Tarbiyah Islamiyah Canduang was carried out by designing a program: sending teachers to participate in method training, facilitating all matters related to the method, forming a team responsible for the method , implementing the method with a pilot project program, appointing a method team coordinator, ii) the team holds various forms of activities such as material competitions, nazhom al-Miftah Lil 'Ulum and book reading practice. iii) hold tests after every chapter, semester exams, demonstrations, graduations. Fourth, the supporting factors for implementing the Al-Miftah Lil 'Ulum method at Madrasah Tarbiyah Islamiyah Canduang are: The school fully supports the Al-Miftah program with a pilot project program system, class 1 Madrasah Tarbiyah Islamiyah Canduang is a class for beginners to learn the basics.

Abstract

Imam Al Ghazali is the only great Islamic scholar who is nick named Islamic document because of his enormous influence in various Islamic sciences, starting from theology, philosophy, jurisprudence, sufism and ethics. Regarding ethics, imam has a work that discusses it specifically, namely the book al-Adab fi al-Din. Among the ethics discussed in the book al-Adab fi al-Dinis teacher ethics. This research aims to analyze the ethics of a teacher according to Imam al-Ghazali. This research is descriptive research using the library method library research, this research approach uses a descriptive analysis approach, namely by collecting, compiling, and analyzing interpretations or interpretations in the book al-Adab fi al-Din chapter adab Muallimi al-Shibyanwhich discusses teacher ethics in teaching students. Data collection and data analysis were carried out by reviewing related books and books to obtain more accurate information. The research results show that the book al-Adab fi al-Din chapter Adab Muallimi al-Shibyan this work by Imam Al-Ghazali explains: First, teacher ethics according to Imam Ghazali in the book al-Adab fi al-Din bab Adab Muallimi ash-Shibyan consists of two concepts, namely; teacher personal ethics and teacher interaction ethics. Regarding teachers' personal ethics, Imam al-Ghazali put forward a keyword, namely improving oneself, because the aim of education is not only to make students smart but more than that, education is to make them true individuals and, a teacher can't make his students become righteous individuals if their own personalities are crooked. Meanwhile, regarding the ethics of teacher interaction, Imam al-Ghazali places great emphasis on three things, namely; objective, professional, andtawassuth, second, everything that Imam al-Ghazali explained regarding teachers' personal ethics and their ethics in interacting with students feels very current and relevant to the current conditions of education and educators, because what Imam Al Ghazali wrote are things that are universal and apply throughout time. What was problematic and problematic at that time, is also happening now, with the substance of the same problem, even though the context is different.
