Abstract

Blood sugar testing is a crucial step in the early detection of non-communicable diseases, particularly diabetes mellitus. This activity serves as a preventative strategy to determine the community's health status early before serious complications arise. In its implementation, blood sugar testing activities are carried out directly with the community through a promotive and educational approach. The community is provided with an understanding of diabetes risk factors, the importance of a healthy lifestyle, and how to recognize early symptoms that often go unnoticed. The activity involved 40 participants over three days, in accordance with the monthly agenda in the village. The results showed that some participants had blood sugar levels exceeding the normal threshold (>200 mg/dL), as many as 4 people, requiring follow-up in the form of further examinations and referrals to health facilities. Furthermore, this activity also succeeded in raising participants' awareness to more regularly check their health and start adopting a healthy diet and regular physical activity.

Abstract

This community service program was conducted in Nusa Village, Amanuban Barat Subdistrict, South Central Timor Regency, with the aim of strengthening the role of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) through the development of a layer chicken farm. The program focused on providing technical assistance, mentoring, and monitoring of egg production management as a sustainable source of village income. Based on field observations and interviews, the egg production during the initial ten days reached 417 eggs, with an estimated average weekly production of 973 eggs and a potential monthly production of 3,892 eggs. These results indicate that BUMDes egg production has significant potential to improve food security and generate additional income for the local community. The findings highlight that proper management, training, and community involvement are critical factors for ensuring the sustainability of BUMDes-based agribusiness in rural areas.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a digital archiving system for managing umrah pilgrims’ data at PT Dakwah Nada Wisata (DNW Tour), utilizing Microsoft Access as the development platform. The study employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach, guided by the ADDIE model comprising Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation phases. The system is designed to facilitate data entry for pilgrims, registration, payments, departure schedules, automated reporting, and integrated data retrieval. The implementation results indicate that the system is effectively operable by administrative personnel and serves as a reliable replacement for the previously used manual archiving method. Empirical testing reveals a substantial improvement in data retrieval efficiency, reducing the average search time from 3–4 minutes to under one minute. The availability of a user manual further enhances the system’s usability, enabling staff to operate it independently. Overall, the developed digital archiving system significantly improves data organization and accuracy, thereby strengthening administrative processes at DNW Tour.

Abstract

Wijaya Kusuma Integrated Health Post (Posyandu) is a community-based health effort located in Nyamplung Lor, Balecatur, Gamping. Its main activities include monthly child growth monitoring with relatively high participation (80%) from 44 children. However, problems remain, such as three children suspected of stunting and low utilization of the Maternal and Child Health Book (KIA). Many mothers did not bring the KIA book, while some books were damaged, dirty, or rarely read. This community service program aimed to improve mothers’ capacity through child growth counseling and KIA utilization socialization. Methods included coordination with cadres, health education, socialization, and small-group mentoring. Results showed an increase in mothers’ knowledge (from a pretest score of 49 to a posttest score of 60) and improved skills in using the KIA book. The program strengthened early detection of child growth and development disorders and reinforced family roles in maintaining child health.

Abstract

Community Service Program students focused on stunting prevention through balanced nutrition counseling, parenting practices, and demonstrations on making corn pudding, a nutritious food. Stunting caused by chronic malnutrition can hinder physical growth and cognitive development, and increase the risk of chronic diseases in the future. Therefore, the involvement of pregnant women, parents, community service post (Posyandu) cadres, and health workers is crucial in this program. Corn was chosen as the main ingredient because it is readily available, affordable, and rich in nutrients, making it a practical, healthy snack alternative for the community. The results of the activities showed an increase in community knowledge about nutrition and practical skills in processing local foods, which is expected to reduce stunting rates and support the creation of a healthy, intelligent, and productive generation in Muara Dua Village.

Abstract

The issue of organic waste management in Ngesrep Village, Ngemplak District, Boyolali Regency, remains a challenge as most household waste has not been utilized optimally. This condition has the potential to cause environmental pollution if not properly addressed. In response to this problem, a Community Service Program (Kuliah Kerja Nyata/KKN) was conducted in July–August 2025 with the aim of introducing maggot cultivation as an alternative solution for organic waste management as well as an economical source of animal feed. The activities included local potential surveys, counseling on the benefits of maggot cultivation, hands-on practice in maggot rearing, and evaluation of community participation. The results showed that the community gained new knowledge about utilizing organic waste into something of economic value, along with practical skills in maggot cultivation. Thus, this KKN program not only supported environmental management but also opened sustainable business opportunities with the potential to improve community welfare

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has impacted the learning and play patterns of elementary school students. At SDN 2 Ngesrep, excessive gadget use has led children to become more familiar with digital games than with physical and traditional activities, leading to a decline in social interaction and motor skills. Furthermore, arts instruction in schools remains limited to theory, thus suboptimal opportunities for students' creative exploration. In response, the Community Service Program (KKN) was implemented with the aim of reviving traditional games as a means of character building, practicing environmentally friendly art skills through eco-printing, and introducing tie-dye batik as a form of local cultural preservation. This activity involved 20 students from grades IV-VI, with KKN students acting as facilitators, mentors, and agents of change. The results showed increased student enthusiasm, artistic creativity, motor skills, and resilience to the negative impacts of digital technology development.
