Abstract

Background: The high prevalence of dental and oral problems is not commensurate with the low behavior of the community in utilizing health services. SWOT analysis helps identify problems through strengths and weaknesses in the internal aspects as well as opportunities and threats in the external aspects of the Community Health Center. This study aims to determine the strategies that can be implemented by the Purwoyoso Community Health Center in addressing major dental and oral problems in the community around its working area based on the SWOT analysis. Method: The study was conducted by identifying problems using the problem solver cycle method. Research data were obtained from observations, interviews, surveys of dental and oral problems, and document studies. Results: The Purwoyoso Community Health Center needs to implement an aggressive strategy/SO (Strength-Opportunity) in addressing the magnitude of dental and oral problems by optimizing internal strengths in the form of the availability of health workers and access to services to take advantage of external opportunities such as the high community need for dental health. Conclusion: The Purwoyoso Community Health Center has been able to address most dental and oral problems around its working area.

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) through the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in the second-grade class at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Darul Akhlaq Toronan, Pamekasan. The study employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach using the Kemmis and McTaggart model, conducted over three cycles comprising planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects consisted of 20 second-grade students. Data collection techniques included observing teacher and student activities and administering learning outcome tests in each cycle. Data analysis was conducted using a descriptive-quantitative method based on individual and classical learning mastery standards. The results indicate a gradual improvement in student learning outcomes, evidenced by the rise in the classical mastery percentage from 46.67% in Cycle I to 73.33% in Cycle II, reaching 86.67% in Cycle III. Furthermore, teacher and student activities also improved, reaching the "excellent" category. These findings demonstrate that the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning model is effective in enhancing learning outcomes and fostering an active, contextual, and meaningful PAI learning experience.

Abstract

The use of menstrual-delay pills during Ramadan represents an intersection of religious motivation, reproductive health, and Islamic legal considerations. This study aimed to analyze the motives, practices, reported health experiences, and Islamic legal perspectives concerning the use of menstrual-delay pills among unmarried women in Larangan Dalam Village, Larangan District, Pamekasan Regency. The study employed a qualitative method with a socio-legal approach. The primary informants were 10 unmarried women who had used menstrual-delay pills, while the supporting informants comprised one village head, two midwives, and two religious leaders. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, non-participant observation, and documentation and were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing and verification. The findings revealed that pill use was motivated by difficulties in making up missed fasts outside Ramadan and by a combination of the desire to worship throughout Ramadan and the perceived difficulty of making up missed fasts. Knowledge about the pills was obtained informally from family members and the surrounding community, while their use generally occurred without consultation with healthcare professionals. Reported experiences included headaches, weight changes, changes in menstrual timing, and no complaints among some informants. These experiences could not be established as direct effects of the pills because no clinical examinations were conducted. According to the Indonesian Ulema Council fatwa on menstrual-delay pills, their use solely to complete a full month of Ramadan fasting is considered makruh, but it may be mubah for women who genuinely experience difficulty making up missed fasts, provided that it does not cause harm. The findings underscore the need for reproductive health education involving both healthcare professionals and religious leaders.

Abstract

Manual route and coordinate determination in reconnaissance drone operations has limitations in navigation precision, flight-path consistency, and operational safety, particularly during payload delivery or logistics-dropping missions in densely built-up urban areas. This study aimed to implement Mission Planner software integrated with ArduPilot firmware to plan and execute an autonomous waypoint mission to the coordinates of the 711/Raksatama Infantry Battalion Headquarters in Palu City, Indonesia, using a multirotor reconnaissance drone (NRSM hexacopter) with a payload capacity of nine units. The mission consisted of 11 command points, comprising one TAKEOFF command, nine WAYPOINT commands, and one LAND command, using relative altitude mode and GPS RTK Fixed-based navigation. Ten flight tests were conducted along the same route to evaluate the accuracy of the actual flight distance relative to the planned distance. The results demonstrated an average flight-distance error of 0.55%, with errors ranging from 0.1% to 1.0%, and a waypoint completion success rate of 100% across all trials. These findings indicate that the implementation of Mission Planner can improve navigation precision, travel-time efficiency, and the reliability of payload delivery using reconnaissance drones compared with manual flight operations.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of education on Clean and Healthy Living Behavior and waste sorting through poster media and interactive demonstrations using a waste bank in improving elementary school students knowledge. This study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using a one-group pre-test and post-test design. The study was conducted among students of SDN Sukorejo 02 Jember, involving 61 respondents selected using total sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire consisting of 20 multiple-choice questions administered before and after the educational intervention. The education was delivered through poster-based materials accompanied by interactive demonstrations on waste management and waste sorting using a waste bank. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test because the pre-test and post-test data were not normally distributed. The results showed that 41 students experienced an increase in knowledge scores, 6 students experienced a decrease, and 14 students showed no change. The Wilcoxon test indicated a significant difference between students knowledge before and after the educational intervention. Therefore, the combination of poster media and interactive demonstrations through a waste bank can serve as an effective educational approach to improve students knowledge of clean and healthy living behavior and waste sorting from an early age.
