ABDIMAS KOSALA is a community service journal, a national periodical that contains articles related to community service activities. The focus of this journal is the dissemination of information related to community service activities in the health sector. The scope of this journal is findings, innovations, applied science and scientific technology in the health sector. Through this publication, it is hoped that dissemination related to findings, innovations and the application of scientific science and technology in the health sector can be carried out in solving health problems in the community as part of active participation in improving public health status. ABDIMAS KOSALA is published twice a year (January and July) by SEKOLAH TINGGI ILMU KESEHATAN PANTI KOSALA. We receive articles in Indonesian from all practitioners and health observers regarding findings, innovations and community service activities carried out in order to contribute to the progress of the nation. All submitted articles will undergo a review process according to standard criteria. This journal was first published in January 2022 with the publication of Vol 1 No 1 (2022) as well as a prerequisite for submitting an e-ISSN.

Abstract

Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS) merupakan aspek penting dalam upaya pencegahan penyakit dan peningkatan kualitas hidup masyarakat. Kasus penyakit tidak menular di Indonesia terus meningkat, dengan hipertensi mencapai 330 juta kasus dan kanker mencapai 300 juta kasus. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran warga Desa Tempel Sukoharjo mengenai PHBS dan pemeriksaan kesehatan. Metode yang digunakan adalah ceramah dan tanya jawab yang dilaksanakan pada 03 Mei 2025 dan diikuti oleh 38 peserta. Materi edukasi mencakup indikator PHBS seperti cuci tangan, penggunaan jamban sehat, air bersih, aktivitas fisik, serta edukasi terkait pemeriksaan tekanan darah, gula darah. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan peserta terhadap PHBS sebesar 70,10 % sebelum diberikan edukasi dan 80,20 % setelah diberikan edukasi mengalami peningkatan pengetahuan mengenai PHBS dan cek kesehatan, serta munculnya kesadaran akan pentingnya deteksi dini penyakit. Faktor pendorong keberhasilan kegiatan ini adalah relevansi topik dengan kondisi kesehatan masyarakat dan tingginya antusiasme warga. Masih ditemukan tantangan seperti rendahnya praktik PHBS pada indikator merokok. Kegiatan ini membuktikan bahwa pendekatan edukatif dan interaktif dapat meningkatkan literasi kesehatan masyarakat serta mendorong perubahan perilaku yang lebih sehat dan berkelanjutan. Kata kunci: cek kesehatan; edukasi kesehatan; perilaku sehat; PHBS Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) is a crucial aspect in disease prevention and improving the community's quality of life. Cases of non-communicable diseases in Indonesia continue to rise, with hypertension reaching 330 million cases and cancer reaching 300 million cases. This community service activity aims to increase the knowledge and awareness of residents of Tempel Village, Sukoharjo, regarding PHBS and health checks. The method used was a lecture and question-and-answer session, held on May 3, 2025, and attended by 38 participants. The educational material covered PHBS indicators such as handwashing, use of healthy latrines, clean water, physical activity, and education related to blood pressure and blood sugar checks. The results showed an increase in participants' knowledge of PHBS by 70.10% before the education session and 80.20% after the education session. The participants experienced an increase in knowledge about PHBS and health checks, as well as an increased awareness of the importance of early disease detection. The driving factors for the success of this activity were the relevance of the topic to public health conditions and the high enthusiasm of the residents. Challenges remained, such as low PHBS practice in the smoking indicator. This activity demonstrated that an educational and interactive approach can improve public health literacy and encourage healthier and more sustainable behavior changes. Abstract

Calon pengantin yang akan menikah adalah cikal bakal terbentuknya sebuah keluarga, sehingga sebelum menikah calon pengantin perlu mempersiapkan kondisi kesehatannya agar dapat menjalankan kehamilan sehat. Tujuan pengabdian Masyarakat ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan motivasi melakukan skrining calon pengantin melalui pemberdayaan kader posyandu remaja. Kegiatan pengabdian dilaksanakan di Desa Peguyangan Kaja Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas III Dinas Kesehatan Kecamatan Denpasar Utara. Metode yang digunakan adalah edukasi dengan media Flipbook dan pendampingan. Sasaran adalah Kader posyandu remaja dan 50 orang remaja dengan usia minimal 19 tahun. Motivasi diukur menggunakan kuoesioner sebelum dan setelah edukasi. Hasil menunujukkan motivasi remaja peserta melakukan skrining calon pengantin sebelum edukasi terbanyak dalam kategori tinggi (44%) dan motivasi setelah di berikan edukasi dengan media flipbook sebagian besar motivasi sangat tinggi (72%). Kegiatan edukasi melalui pemberdayaan kader dengan media flipbook, efektif meningkatkan motivasi remaja melakukan skrining calon pengantin. Kader Posyandu remaja dan petugas Puskesmas agar melanjutkan kegiatan untuk memberikan edukasi kesehatan reproduksi calon pengantin kepada remaja dan memotivasi untuk melakukan skrining calon pengantin. Kata kunci: flipbook; kader; motivasi; skrining calon pengantin Prospective brides and grooms who are about to get married are the seeds of a family, so before getting married, they need to prepare their health conditions to be able to have a healthy pregnancy. The purpose of this community service is to determine the increase in motivation to screen prospective brides and grooms through the empowerment of adolescent posyandu cadres. The service activity was carried out in Peguyangan Kaja Village, the Working Area of Puskesmas III, North Denpasar District Health Office. The method used was education with Flipbook media and mentoring. The target was 5 adolescent posyandu cadres and 50 adolescents with a minimum age of 19 years. Motivation was measured using a questionnaire before and after education Motivation was measured using a questionnaire before and after the education. The results showed an increase in adolescent motivation in screening prospective brides and grooms. Motivation before the education was mostly in the high category (44%), and motivation after the education using flipbook media was mostly in the very high category (72%). Educational activities through empowering cadres with flipbook media effectively increase the motivation of teenagers to screen prospective brides and grooms Adolescent Posyandu cadres and Puskesmas officers should continue activities to provide reproductive health education to prospective brides and motivate them to screen prospective brides.
