Abstract

Salah satu topik perbincangan yang sedang aktual di berbagai media adalah masalah moderasi beragama. Moderasi beragama harus menyentuh seluruh aspek kehidupan, termasuk di dalamnya kehidupan akademik. Saluran moderasi beragama di perguruan tinggi dapat melalu pembelajaran. Pembelajaran Agama Islam merupakan suatu rangkaian materi mata kuliah yang eksistensinya sudah diakui di pentas akademik dan sudah terintegrasi dengan beberapa mata kuliah yang diajarkan di Perguruan Tinggi. Namun persoalannya, sudah sejauh mana moderasi beragama mampu mewarnai pembelajaran agama di perguruan tinggi. Seberapa kuat civitas akademik mampu membentengi diri dari dari gempuran kelompok-kelompok ekstrem yang akhir-akhir ini sudah banyak merambah ke dunia kampus. Kemudian, langkah antisipatif apa saja yang harus dilakukan untuk membentengi para mahasiswa dari incaran sebagai “penganten” ekstrem, serta solusi pemecahannya bagi mereka yang sudah terpapar paham ekstrem. Moderasi pembelajaran agama di perguruan tinggi menjadi topik bahasan dalam tulisan ini, dan akan diuraikan secara sistematis. One of the current topics of discussion in various media is the issue of religiousmoderation. Religious moderation must touch all aspects of life, including academic life. The channel of religious moderation in universities can be through learning. Islamic Religious Learning is a series of subject matter whose existence has been recognized on the academic stage and has been integrated with several courses taught in universities. But the problem is how far has religious moderation been able to color religious learning in universities. How strong the academic community is able to fortify themselves from the onslaught of extreme groups that have recently penetrated the campus world. Then, what anticipatory steps must be taken to fortify students from being targeted as extreme "brides", as well as solutions for those who have been exposed to extreme ideas. Moderation of religious learning in higher education is the topic of discussion in this paper, and will be described systematically.

Abstract

This research aims to capture the efforts of the Madurese people in maintaining family resilience through a cultural approach, as well as to examine the harmony and alignment between the values of the séré pénang tradition as part of the cultural approach and the principles of Islamic law. The research employs a literature review approach, utilizing scholarly sources related to the overarching themes of tradition and Islamic law. The data analysis follows an interactive analysis model. The findings indicate that Madurese people, rich in cultural, traditional, and heritage values, have adopted a cultural approach as part of their efforts to strengthen family resilience. A concrete effort in this regard is the implementation of the séré pénang Tradition, regarded as a symbol of family commitment. This tradition has positive implications for enhancing the resilience of family components to both internal and external pressures. The evaluation of the séré pénang Tradition demonstrates its alignment with the principles of Islamic law, both directly and indirectly, without conflicting with the concepts and principles of Islamic law.

Abstract

This article examines the pepper trade carried out by the Sunda Kingdom in the 16th century. The topic of pepper trade was chosen because pepper was one of the main commodities that played an important role in the economy and international relations of the Sunda Kingdom. The main aim of this research is to examine the role of pepper as the main commodity of the Sunda Kingdom on the social and economic relations of the Sunda Kingdom. The research method used is historical research which consists of five stages, namely topic selection, heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. This research is intended to examine (1) the Sunda Kingdom and the pepper trade, (2) the arrival of the Portuguese in Malacca, (3) Javanese geopolitics in the 16th century, (4) the 16th century pepper trade. The Sunda Kingdom had an agricultural and maritime character, with a focus on agriculture inland and trade in coastal areas. This kingdom planted pepper in the interior, which was then distributed to the big cities owned by the Sunda Kingdom for trade. The research results indicate that the pepper produced by the Sunda Kingdom is of high quality. This attracted the attention of the Portuguese to establish diplomatic relations. However, these efforts were thwarted by strong resistance from local kingdoms, especially Demak. The strategic position of the Sunda Kingdom in the maritime trade network is reflected in its extensive economic interactions, including trade relations with China, Malacca, and others. The diversity of networks and intensity of trade emphasize the influence of pepper in determining the political and economic situation of that time.

Abstract

Perkembangan emosi yang terjadi pada masa remaja bertepatan dengan puncak emosi. Remaja seringkali menunjukkan perilaku yang tidak pantas karena regulasi emosinya yang cenderung tidak stabil. Tujuan dari peninjauan ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran para orang tua dalam membentuk pembinaan generasi muda di Kota Tanjung Alam, Kawasan Sei Dadap, Rezim Asahan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi kualitatif dan deskriptif. Berikut temuan penelitian ini: (1) Orang tua di Desa Tanjung Alam Kecamatan Sei Dadap Kabupaten Asahan telah berusaha menjadi orang tua yang baik dengan selalu memberikan nasihat kepada anaknya; (2) remaja yang tidak mampu mengendalikan emosi menyebabkan ia terus menerus bertengkar dengan orang tuanya; dan (3) orang tua di Desa Tanjung Alam Kecamatan Sei Dadap berperan sebagai pendidik, pemberi semangat, teman, dan konselor.

Abstract

Lingkungan awal bagi seorang anak adalah keluarganya, yang terdiri atas orang tua dan saudara kandung. Setiap keluarga memiliki cara tersendiri dalam membesarkan anak-anak mereka, sering kali dengan melanjutkan pola pengasuhan dari generasi sebelumnya. Cara orang tua berinteraksi dengan anak dalam mempengaruhi kemandiriannya disebut sebagai pola pengasuhan. Anak-anak yang mandiri menunjukkan perilaku eksploratif, kemampuan mengambil keputusan, percaya diri, dan kreatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pola pengasuhan yang mendukung pengembangan kemandirian remaja dalam hal pengambilan keputusan, pengendalian diri, serta tanggung jawab. Riset ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Ayah, ibu, dan remaja di Desa Sumbul, Kecamatan Sinembah Tanjung Muda Hilir, bertindak sebagai informan penelitian. Data dikumpulkan melalui dokumentasi, wawancara, dan observasi, menggunakan sumber data primer dan sekunder. Analisis data dilakukan dari reduksi data, penyajian data, dan validasi data. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa pola pengasuhan orang tua dapat membantu remaja menjadi lebih mandiri dalam berbagai aspek seperti pengambilan keputusan, pengendalian emosional, dan tanggung jawab. Pola pengasuhan demokratis terbukti mampu meningkatkan kemandirian pada remaja.

Abstract

In contemporary situations, the issue of the ancentral rokat tradition is closely associated with Islam. Nonetheless, in several literatures, reseachers typically concentrate on the history and rokat processes. Madura community in Tamansari Village, Probolinggo Regency, has a different history and meaning. Therefore, it is essential to examine the actions taken by the actors and the meanings that emerge in the community regarding changes in rokat tradition practice. This paper aims to examine the interpretation of the community and conduct a deeper analysis of the cultural negotiation process of the rokat tradition in the context of Islamization as a ritual practice. The research is conducted using a qualitative ethnographic research method, which includes direct observation, interviews, documentation, and a literature review, implementing the perspective of Mark R. Woodward. The research results indicate the existence of two categories of rokat leaders, namely the traditional Javanese rokat leader (adhering to ancestral teachings) and the Islamic rokat leader. The negotiation of Islamic rokat emerges through Islamic leaders who reinterpret the meaning of rokat within the framework of Islamic values, Meanwhile, Javanese rokat maintains the practice and traditional meaning. Islamic rokat is more preferred due to its relatively lower cost compared to Javanese rokat. However, some communities still firmly adhere to and believe in their traditional ancestral teachings, considering them as the refinement of tradition rather than just symbols.

Abstract

Every human being will inevitably experience changes in their life, especially in the era globalization. The Ter-ater tradition is a custom of delivering food, such as rice and side dishes or cakes to family and neighbors. This study aims to identify the factors causing the fading of the Ter-ater tradition in the era globalization in Waru Barat Village, Pamekasan. This research is qualitative. The methods used in this study include observation, interviews, and document studies. The research location is Waru Barat Village, Pamekasan, specifically in Tobalang III Hamlet. The results of the study indicate that the community has been affected by the current of globalization, leading to the fading of the Ter-ater tradition. Changes in lifestyle towards individualism, urbanization, and economic factors are the reasons behind the decline of the Ter-ater tradition.

Abstract

The advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) technology has had a significant impact on many parts of daily life, particularly for Muslims. The rise of problems about the ethics of employing AI from an Islamic perspective is worth discussing. This essay will look at Islamic perspectives on AI and how Islamic ethics might help guide the usage of this technology. This study takes a qualitative approach, employing literature study methods and an analysis of Islamic literature on ethics, technology, and artificial intelligence. The conclusion demonstrates that Islam supports the use of technology that benefits humanity while prioritizing ethical concepts such as justice, responsibility, and prudence in coping with the potential negative consequences of AI.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) plays a strategic role in character development among students in the digital era, aiming to cultivate individuals with faith, piety, and noble character. This study explores the challenges and opportunities associated with integrating PAI into the digital era, highlighting issues such as the negative influence of social media, and lack of student focus. Utilizing a qualitative phenomenological approach, data were collected through interviews, and observations to gain insights into experiences and perceptions related to PAI in character building. The findings indicate that while technology can distract students, it also provides opportunities to enhance moral education through interactive digital tools, project-based learning, and the integration of Islamic values. Teachers’ proactive roles and collaboration with families and communities are essential in ensuring the effective implementation of PAI. The study concludes that adapting PAI with holistic strategies, combining technological integration and moral education, is crucial for fostering students' character in line with Islamic values.
