Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has forced many children to adapt to online learning. In this context, the problem that often arises is a lack of concentration and focus on learning material. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effectiveness of implementing brain exercises as a method that can increase children's concentration in dealing with online learning in the era of COVID-19. Data collection was carried out using a concentration test instrument that has been tested for validity and reliability. Concentration tests were performed before and after the intervention period of several weeks. The collected data were then analyzed using statistical analysis. The results of this study indicate that the intervention group who underwent regular brain exercises experienced a significant increase in their concentration compared to the control group. Brain exercise can improve children's ability to focus attention, reduce distractions, and improve their memory skills. In the context of online learning in the era of COVID-19, the implementation of brain gymnastics can be an effective method for increasing children's concentration. Brain gym is a form of exercise that involves body movement, brain coordination, and sensory stimuli. Structured movements in brain gymnastics can stimulate children's brain development, thereby helping them to better face the challenges of online learning. This study provides recommendations to schools and parents to implement brain exercises as part of children's routines before online learning sessions. Brain gym can be an effective strategy in helping children improve concentration, maintain their attention, and optimize learning outcomes in unfamiliar online learning situations.

Abstract

Computer Network Engineering or commonly abbreviated as TKJ is a major in SMK that studies how to assemble computers, basic networks, and hardware components that are in computers. Apart from that, as a TKJ major, you will also learn how to install operating systems (OS), handle problems related to personal computers (PCs), create Local Area Networks (LAN) networks, design websites, and much more. prepare to be able to install computer networks, both computer networks within homes, offices, between offices, between cities, and between countries. FYI, every company needs a computer network. Usually, companies use a LAN-type computer network that functions to connect one computer to another. The result of this PKM activity is an increase in skills and knowledge in using Information Technology such as the application of computer networks to support competency exam activities

Abstract

Students are often faced with several problems in the learning process both internally and externally. One of the external problems that is often experienced by students is the problem of teachers and learning infrastructure. Problems arising from these two external problems are often interconnected. One example is when a teacher as a teacher as well as an educator is indirectly required to be able to design interesting, effective, and creative teaching materials to increase student learning interest. through cultural agents from outside the school (Budimansyah, 2010). Teachers of the Hidayatullah Islamic Boarding School, especially Middle-High School Teachers, really need training on the Utilization of Multimedia-Based Learning Media during this pandemic because all teachers are required to be more creative in creating learning processes using technology.Based on a survey of the Lecturer Team and assisted by Students in dealing with learning process problems in this 19 pandemic era, the Community Service Team carried out Community Service with the title "Utilization of Multimedia-Based Learning Media for Hidayatullah Bengkulu Islamic Boarding School Teachers".

Abstract

Digital literacy creates a social order with a critical-creative mindset and outlook. They will not be easily influenced by provocative issues, so they will become victims of digital-based hoaxes or fraud. Thus, the social and cultural life of the community will tend to be safe and conducive. Building a digital literacy culture needs to involve the active role of the community together. In simple terms, literacy is defined as an activity that involves reading and writing. Introduction to Digital Literacy for PKBM Participants in the City of Bengkulu, departing from the problems faced by the PKBM in the City of Bengkulu regarding how to teach material through digital literacy in learning Indonesian. The purpose of this socialization is to raise the enthusiasm of students at PKBM Bunda Sciences in the City of Bengkulu in participating in learning Indonesian with digital literacy. Implementation of Community Service activities by collaborating between lecturers at Dehasen Bengkulu University and PKBM in the City of Bengkulu by providing socialization on the introduction of digital literacy as an initial step to see the responses of PKBM in the Bengkulu City of Mother Science in the learning process and applying it directly in the digital world so that more interesting learning. Basically, learning activities are based on reading and writing activities. In this training, reading and writing techniques can be delivered to improve students' abilities to explore themselves using digital media. The use of digital tools or media makes it easier for students to learn because they keep up with the times. Students who are diligent in writing can write on blogs and blogs that are read by many people so that the reading material we create will be useful for others.

Abstract

The objectives of this activity are: 1). Providing knowledge about cultivating the ability to think positively despite the many pressures faced during the current Covid-19 pandemic, 2) Providing training and motivation to the women of the Taklim An Nur assembly in the city of Bengkulu through hypnotherapy. Based on the results and evaluation of the activities, it can be concluded that the activities that have been carried out can build positive thinking synergy through the subconscious that oneself has by implementing self-hypnosis so that they are able to deal with all the problems that arise in the current era of the Covid 19 pandemic, especially the women of the assembly. Abstract

Program pelatihan Bahasa Inggris Dasar menggunakan metode TPR (Total Physical Response) kepada warga binaan di Balai Pemasyarakatan Provinsi Bengkulu merupakan bentuk kerjasama masyarakat luar dengan unit pelaksana teknis pemasyarakatan dalam upaya menciptakan inovasi kegiatan yang bersifat meningkatkan kualitas diri warga binaan. Tujuannya agar para warga binaan bisa melafalkan dan memahami beberapa kosa kata dan frasa bahasa Inggris dalam kondisi pembelajaran yang tanpa tekanan. Metode pengajaran TPR dinilai efektif karena sebagian besar aktifitasnya bersifat spontan dengan arahan dari pengajar. Ada 3 tahapan pelaksanaan kegiatan yaitu Engage, Study dan Activate yang banyak melibatkan keaktifan peserta melalui gerak dan lagu. Selama pelatihan telah terbangun rasa percaya diri peserta untuk menggunakan Bahasa Inggris. Kata Kunci: Pelatihan Bahasa Inggris, Metode TPR, Warga Binaan, Balai Pemasyarakatan

Abstract

Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk memberikan motivasi, stimulasi dan pelatihan Bahasa Inggris bagi masyarakat kurang mampu khususnya siswa yang sedang menempuh pendidikan di SMP, SMA dan SMK. Sasaran strategis kegiatan ini adalah para pelajar di RT 27 RW 005 Kecamatan Bentiring yang berjumlah 40 orang yang diambil secara acak dari seluruh pelajar di wilayah tersebut. Kegiatan ini melibatkan dosen dan mahasiswa Bahasa Inggris Universitas Dehasen Bengkulu yang tergabung dalam tim penyuluhan. Materi konseling meliputi bagaimana menggunakan tata bahasa, ucapan, berbicara dan membaca yang benar sebagai bagian terpenting dari pelajaran bahasa Inggris. Metode yang diterapkan dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah metode gambar tentang strategi pembelajaran bahasa Inggris dengan menggunakan 5 materi di atas. Berdasarkan pengamatan dan tanya jawab pada saat kegiatan dilaksanakan dan setelah kegiatan dilaksanakan, target audience siswa sangat antusias dan antusias mengikuti semua kegiatan mulai dari ceramah, tanya jawab dan latihan. Bahkan setelah kegiatan dilaksanakan, beberapa mahasiswa menyatakan keinginannya untuk mendaftarkan diri di Universitas Dehasen Bengkulu untuk belajar dan akan terus menjadikan pelajaran bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa dunia.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat merupakan proses implementasi keilmuan yang dipelajari di perguruan tinggi guna memberikan manfaat seluas-luasnya bagi masyarakat. Salah satu bentuk kegiatan pengabdian ialah berupa bantuan sosial. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk menumbuhkan kepedulian dan tanggung jawab sosial kita untuk dapat memberikan manfaat terhadap masyarakat khususnya di lingkungan Panti. Kegiatan pengabdian dilaksanakan di Panti Kasih Sayang. Rangkaian kegiatan berupa Bedah Cerita Rakyat untuk anak anak panti asuhan. Pengabdian di Panti Kasih Sayang telah dilaksanakan dengan dengan lancar, yang ditandai dengan partisipasi aktif dari semua pihak yang terlibat yaitu pihak kampus Universitas Dehasen Bengkulu dan pihak panti asuhan. Melalui kegiatan pengabdian ini diharapkan dapat membantu memenuhi kebutuhan di panti asuhan, serta mempererat rasa persaudaraan antara lembaga pendidik dan lembaga sosial. Kata kunci: cerita rakyat

Abstract

Masalah keterlambatan bicara pada anak merupakan masalah serius yang harus segera diatasi karena merupakan salah satu penyebab tersering gangguan perkembangan pada anak. Beberapa penelitian di beberapa negara menyatakan bahwa sekitar 6 hingga 8% anak prasekolah mengalami masalah keterlambatan bicara. Keterlambatan bicara dapat dilihat dari ketepatan penggunaan kata-kata yang ditandai dengan pengucapan yang tidak jelas dan dalam berkomunikasi hanya dapat menggunakan bahasa isyarat, sehingga orang tua dan orang-orang disekitarnya kurang dapat memahami anak, padahal sebenarnya anak tersebut dapat mengerti apa yang dibicarakan orang. Keterlambatan bicara ini tidak hanya akan mempengaruhi penyesuaian sosial dan pribadi anak, tetapi juga dapat mempengaruhi penyesuaian akademik anak. Metode yang digunakan dalam melaksanakan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah melalui metode sosialisasi dan pendekatan simulasi berupa ceramah dan demonstrasi. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keterlambatan bicara pada anak dan juga perlakuan yang diberikan oleh orang tua, guru dan lingkungan dalam menanggapi masalah tersebut. memiliki pemahaman tersendiri dalam menghadapi anak yang terlambat berbicara dan merancang model konsep pengembangan kemampuan berbahasa bagi anak yang terlambat berbicara. Pada akhirnya tim pelaksana kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat melalui kegiatan ini berharap para guru PAUD di Kabupaten Seluma dapat meningkatkan perkembangan bahasa, pengetahuan dan keterampilan siswa dalam menyajikan pembelajaran yang lebih menarik bagi siswa dalam belajar. Abstract

The empowerment of productive economic enterprises for the poor in Kecamatan Ratu Agung, Bengkulu City, is the main focus of efforts to improve social and economic welfare in the region. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the economic empowerment program as well as the factors that influence its success. The research method used combines quantitative and qualitative approaches, collecting data through structured surveys and in-depth interviews with local stakeholders. The results show that the majority of poor communities in Kecamatan Ratu Agung have the potential to engage in productive economic enterprises, but there are constraints such as limited capital, market access, and skills that need to be overcome. Other factors affecting the effectiveness of economic empowerment include a lack of support from the local government, complex regulations, and cumbersome bureaucracy. The discussion underscores the need for comprehensive and integrated economic empowerment programs, involving collaboration between local governments, non-governmental organizations, the private sector, and academia. Special attention to the role of women in economic empowerment and regular monitoring and evaluation of implemented programs are also needed. In conclusion, empowering productive economic enterprises for the poor in Kecamatan Ratu Agung, Bengkulu City, requires a holistic and integrated approach to overcome the obstacles faced. Thus, it is expected to improve welfare and reduce poverty levels in the area.
