Abstract

This research aimed to determine students' needs in the learning process in Mathematics subjects. Data collection used a needs analysis questionnaire for class VI SD N 095/VIII Karang Dadi students. The results of the analysis of student needs showed that the interest aspect was 86% in using learning media Wordwall with the high category and the results of needs aspect were 86% in the high category. So that, the interactive learning media Wordwall can help students understand the material presented by the teacher.

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the strategies and tricks of candidate leaders in the election. The research method used descriptive-qualitative where this research interpreted the management of candidate leaders during the election. This research used a descriptive analysis method where the research looked at a case that leads to a problem in physical or structural form (real or unreal). Candidate leaders carried out various strategies and tricks. The strategies and tricks of candidate leaders in Indonesia usually involve socializing work programs and approaching the community to gain public sympathy. The requirements and criteria that must be met in leading Indonesia are Indonesian citizens, religious, of sufficient age, honest, fair, trustworthy, caring for others, free from a history of problems (cases), and healthy (no history of illness).

Abstract

The independent learning (Merdeka Belajar) curriculum requires teachers to be able to innovate and be creative in carrying out the learning process, so a special platform for teachers was created, namely the Platform Merdeka Mengajar (PMM) as a forum for developing teachers’ teaching potential in implementing the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum. This research aimed to describe the use of the PMM as a learning innovation solution. This research used a qualitative method with descriptive analysis through a library research approach. The findings in this research showed the PMM is an important breakthrough so that teachers can adjust to the demands of the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum. Some of the features provided in the PMM include teaching tools, student assessments, independent training, community, proof of work, and inspirational videos. With this research, it is hoped that teachers can optimally utilize the features of the platform to support innovative learning in the independent curriculum.

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the needs for media development of a portal media (literacy portal) via the Google Site to increase student’s interest in reading. The portal media is called Porlite. Porlite can be used to increase the ability to use digital technology in the world of education, especially during the implementation of school literacy movements. This portal media via the Google site can also increase student’s interest in reading and literacy skills. This type of research was quantitative-descriptive. The research subjects were students of SMAN 1 Pulau Punjung. This research took a sample of 73 students from 286 populations in phase E. The research results showed that student’s interest in Porlite was 80%, while the needs for students to use Porlite as a literacy medium was 70%, and the relationship between Porlite and interest in reading was 72%. Porlite with Google Sites can be used in literacy activities to increase student’s interest in reading.

Abstract

It is important to develop positive discipline through assessment of the project for strengthening the student’s profile of Pancasila (P5) so that students can form their character indirectly. The values of the P5, namely 1) have faith, be devoted to God Almighty, and have a noble character, 2) be independent, 3) work together, 4) global diversity, 5) critical reasoning, and 6) creative. This research aimed to describe developing a positive discipline model by assessing the project to strengthen the P5. The development of this positive discipline was through an assessment of the project to strengthen the P5 among students, especially phase E students at SMAN 1 Pulau Punjung so that they can form positive character. The research method was carried out using non-associative quantitative analysis with a sample of 73 students from a population of 268. Based on the needs analysis distributed through a questionnaire, it can be concluded that the development of a positive discipline model was needed according to the interest indicator reaching 90% in the very high category. Meanwhile, the needs indicator reached 89% in the high category.

Abstract

The literacy level in Indonesia is still low, namely ranking 62nd out of 70 countries with an average literacy score of 397 compared to developed countries of 493. This is proven by the low reading interest of students in schools in Indonesia. The research methodology used qualitative with a sample of 43 students from a population of 110. From the research results, it was found that student’s interest in reading at SMAN 19 Tebo was still low. For this reason, it is necessary to develop a method that can increase student’s interest in reading at the high school level, especially at SMAN 19 Tebo.

Abstract

Interest in reading is closely related to argumentation skills and broader knowledge. Lack of interest in reading directly impacts students in expressing ideas and opinions to convince others. This research aimed to determine the correlation between reading interest and the argumentation ability of junior high school students. The method used quantitative with a simple linear regression analysis. The research sample was all students in class VIII of SMP Negeri 2 Wungu Madiun for the 2023 - 2024 academic year totaling 135 students. The instruments used a reading interest questionnaire and an argumentation ability test instrument. Reading interest and argumentation ability had a positive correlation with the weak category and contributed 7.1% and the remaining 92.9% was influenced by other variables not listed in this research. This proves that the higher the student’s interest in reading, the better the argumentation skill.

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the relationship between learning interest and discipline on the learning outcomes of 11th-grade Motorcycle Business Engineering students at SMK Negeri 1 Sintuk Toboh Gadang. A quantitative correlational research method was used with all 11th-grade Motorcycle Business Engineering students as subjects. Data collection techniques used questionnaires to measure learning interest and discipline, and documentation for learning outcome data. Data analysis used the product-moment correlation test. Results showed no significant relationship between learning interest or learning discipline and learning outcomes. However, a strong positive correlation was found between learning interest and discipline. Most students demonstrated moderate to good learning interest and discipline levels, with satisfactory learning outcomes. In conclusion, although students’ learning interests and discipline were fairly good, this was not reflected in their learning outcomes, indicating the need for further research on other factors influencing vocational high school students’ learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the comparative results of cosmetic formulas of natural hair dye from dragon fruit skin through a maceration extraction process with formulations of 15%, 30%, and 45% as assessed through pH tests (laboratory tests), organoleptic tests, Hedonic test (panelists’ preferences) and color stability tests. This research used a quantitative approach with an experimental research design. The data in this research used primary data. Data were collected through observation, documentation, and questionnaires. The research instrument used questionnaires to collect organoleptic test data of dragon fruit skin extra hair dye preparations. The data were analyzed using normality, homogeneity, and ANOVA tests. A comparison of hair dye preparations of red dragon fruit peel extract showed that F1, F2, and F3 dye preparations had pH levels of 11, 10, and 11. The texture on F1 was 43% fine-textured, on F2 it was 57% fine-textured, and on F3 43% was very fine-textured.  The aroma on F1 was 43% quite scented dragon fruit skin, on F2 43% was quite scented dragon fruit skin and on F3 57% was quite scented dragon fruit skin. The color in F1 was 43% not purplish red, in F2 29% less colored and not purplish red, and in F3 29% in very colored, colored and not purplish red. There was no significant difference in the comparison results of making natural hair dye preparations of red dragon fruit peel extract (Hylocereus polyrhiuzus).

Abstract

The problem of this research was the limitation of learning media for speed sensors in the Ototronics laboratory, which has an impact on three critical aspects in the teaching and learning process: (1) limited students gain practical experience, (2) decreased student motivation and participation, and (3) the difficulty of lecturers demonstrating material comprehensively in the Sensors and Transducers course. This research aimed to design a mini trainer speed sensor as an innovative learning media to overcome the limitations of practicum media in the Ototronics laboratory, impacting the student learning experience. The research used a quantitative-descriptive and Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) validation involving 7 learning media experts. The results showed highly significant design validity. The didactic aspect proved to give the most superior contribution to improving the effectiveness of learning media. This research successfully addressed three main problems: student’s limited practical experience, decreased participation motivation, and lecturers’ difficulty demonstrating the material. The results confirm that this particular learning media effectively addresses three critical impacts in the teaching and learning process: student’s limited practical experience, decreased participation motivation, and lecturers’ difficulty demonstrating the material, thus opening up opportunities for developing transformative interactive learning media in technical vocational education.
