Abstract

This study analyzes the empowerment strategies for individuals with hearing disabilities at Kopi Tuli through a barista training program that emphasizes technical skills, self-confidence, visual communication, and social integration. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through interviews and observations involving the owners, Deaf baristas, and customers. The findings indicate that Kopi Tuli functions both as an inclusive workplace and as a public educational space on Deaf culture. The challenges identified include limited trainers, restricted access to advanced training, and low public understanding. Overall, this inclusivity-based strategy effectively supports the independence of Deaf individuals and serves as an example of sociopreneurship practice in Indonesia.

Abstract

In the conservation area, the growth of tanjung trees (Mimusops elengi) was found to be suboptimal due to low soil nutrient availability, limited microbial activity, and compact soil structure with poor porosity. In addition, there was an environmental issue related to the underutilization of rejected or rotten wax apple fruits (jambu air afkir), which have the potential to generate unpleasant odors and greenhouse gas emissions through open decomposition. To address these challenges, an innovation was introduced by converting rejected wax apple waste into liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) and compost, which function as biocatalysts to improve soil fertility and support the growth of tanjung trees. The study employed a before-and-after experimental approach (pre-test and post-test). The results showed that the company successfully planted 100 tanjung seedlings and processed approximately 80–120 kg of rejected wax apple waste per month into organic fertilizer products. Meanwhile, community members actively participated in collecting and sorting approximately 50–80 kg of rejected wax apple waste per month, enhanced their skills in organic fertilizer production, and gained the potential to reduce fertilizer expenses by approximately 20–30% for household gardens and small-scale farming activities. This finding indicates that rejected wax apple fruit waste can be utilized as liquid organic fertilizer and compost. This application can help promote vegetative growth in plants, resulting in growth of approximately 4 cm/month. Furthermore, it provides environmental, economic, and social benefits to the surrounding community. This effort represents an integrated solution to address two challenges simultaneously: organic waste management and suboptimal plant growth.

Abstract

Separation in a romantic relationship is an experience often encountered by individuals during adolescence and can cause emotional responses such as sadness, disappointment, anger, and feelings of loss. These emotional states are related to adolescents' psychological well-being, especially in the way they express and communicate these feelings to others. Emotional regulation and social support from people around the individual are considered crucial factors in helping young people remain mentally balanced after the end of a romantic relationship. The purpose of this research was to explore how emotional self-regulation, interpersonal assistance, and mental wellness are connected among youth who had gone through romantic separation. Quantitative correlational approach was applied in this research to identify the association among the observed variables. The research involved 65 young individuals aged 15 to 21 years who had experienced the end of a romantic relationship. Respondents were chosen through criterion-based selection, in which only individuals who matched the required characteristics were included. Data were collected using psychological scales measuring emotional regulation, social support, and psychological well-being. After the responses were collected, the data were processed through descriptive computation and correlational analysis. The normality assessment produced a probability score of 0.200, which exceeded 0.05; therefore, the dataset was considered normally spread. Further testing revealed that assistance from the surrounding environment had a strong and statistically meaningful positive association with mental wellness, as indicated by an r value of 0.603 and a probability score of 0.000, which was below 0.05. Emotional self-regulation also moved in the same positive direction with the mental condition of the respondents. In general, the results imply that stronger emotional control and greater external assistance are followed by a more favorable mental state among young people after romantic separation.

Abstract

Child economic exploitation remains a serious issue in Indonesia and constitutes a violation of children's fundamental rights. This study aims to analyze the forms of economic exploitation and violations of children's rights in the case of RA, an 11-year-old child in Bandar Lampung who was forced by her mother to work as a parking attendant and submit a daily target of IDR 200,000 while experiencing physical violence for approximately two years. This research employed a qualitative method with a case study approach using secondary data obtained from scientific literature, laws and regulations, and media reports. Data were analyzed descriptively through the perspectives of the Theory of Children's Rights, the Theory of Child Economic Exploitation, and the Theory of Child Protection. The findings reveal that the case represents a systematic violation of children's rights, including the right to protection from exploitation, the right to education, the right to play, and the right to optimal growth and development. The study also finds that the exploitation experienced by RA was not merely an economic issue but reflected broader structural failures within the child protection system involving the family, community, and law enforcement institutions. The case demonstrates that existing child protection mechanisms tend to be reactive rather than preventive. Therefore, stronger collaboration among families, communities, and government institutions is necessary to prevent child exploitation and ensure the fulfillment of children's rights.

Abstract

The 2001 Sampit Tragedy stands as one of the bloodiest ethnic conflicts in Indonesian history, marking a profound erosion of the value of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika (Unity in Diversity). This article aims to analyze the collapse of these pluralistic value, the correlation between structural inequality and the role of provocateurs, as well as post-conflict solutions grounded in local wisdom and Pancasila. This study employs a qualitative method with a library research approach, analyzing secondary data through sociological and anthropological perspectives. The findings reveal that the conflict between the Dayak and Madurese ethnic groups was not an isolated incident, but rather the culmination of latent tensions caused by the economic marginalization of indigenous communities, the failure of cultural acculturation, and the residual effects of the New Order's superficial security-oriented approach. The politicization of ethnic sentiment by provocateurs in the post-Reformasi era triggered an escalation of mass violence that claimed more than 500 lives and displaced approximately 100,000 residents. Post-conflict recovery was ultimately achieved through policy reconstruction and customary (adat) reconciliation. This study concludes that the management of diversity grounded in structural and legal justice is the primary key to safeguarding national integration.

Abstract

The amendment to Article 47 in the revision of Law No. 34 of 2004 on the Indonesian National Armed Forces regarding active-duty soldiers' placement in civilian positions has sparked controversy, particularly regarding its alignment with the democratic and justice principles of Pancasila. This study examines how this revision affects civilian supremacy, civil-military relations, and Pancasila values, specifically the Fourth and Fifth Principles. This study employs a normative legal method combined with a descriptive-analytical approach, supported by Likert-scale questionnaires from 53 respondents selected via accidental sampling. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results indicate a high public urgency for meaningful participation in the revision process. However, the public expresses significant doubts regarding the transparency of the drafting and ratification processes, alongside the revision's alignment with Pancasila. Expanding military authority into the civilian sphere is perceived to threaten civilian supremacy, disrupt the bureaucratic merit system, and diminish career opportunities for civil servants. This study concludes that the revision does not yet fully reflect the principles of meaningful participation, legislative openness, and social justice as mandated by Pancasila as a staatsfundamentalnorm.

Abstract

The North Natuna Sea is part of Indonesia's EEZ which has a wealth of biological and non-biological natural resources. Indonesia's sovereign rights in this region are expressly regulated under UNCLOS 1982. Their implementation is carried out through Law Number 5 of 1983 on the Indonesian EEZ, while Indonesia's ratification of UNCLOS itself was enacted through Law Number 17 of 1985. However, China's claims based on the Nine-Dash Line based on historical rights arguments have caused tensions and violations of Indonesia's sovereign rights in the region. This paper aims to critically examine the legal basis of Indonesia's sovereign rights in the North Natuna Sea EEZ, analyze the juridical weaknesses of China's Nine-Dash Line claims, and evaluate the various responses that Indonesia has taken in upholding its rights. The method used is normative legal research with a case and legislative approach. The results of the analysis show that normatively, Indonesia's legal position is very strong because UNCLOS does not recognize historical rights that go beyond the provisions of the convention, and the Permanent Court of Arbitration in 2016 has unequivocally stated that the Nine-Dash Line has no legal basis. However, there is a gap between normative strength and law enforcement capacity on the ground, as well as ambiguity in Indonesia's position in multilateral forums. Indonesia's response has shown positive developments through diplomatic, operational, and long-term policy measures, but it still requires increased regional consistency, capacity, and support. In conclusion, Indonesia's sovereign rights in the North Natuna Sea are legal under international law, but their effectiveness is highly dependent on the ability of state actors to enforce them in a sustainable manner

Abstract

Information as a service product has intangible characteristics, so it requires a more complex marketing strategy than physical products. This study aims to analyze digital information marketing strategies based on the 7P Marketing Mix theory (Product, Price, Place, Promotion, People, Process, Physical Evidence) on the Instagram account @glintsid. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach and data collection is carried out through observations of @glintsid's digital content, documentation of audience engagement, and literature studies. The results show that @glintsid implements the seven elements of the marketing mix in an integrated manner. The product element is realized through the provision of varied career and work skills education content; price is represented by non-financial sacrifices in the form of user time and attention; place is optimized through the use of Instagram distribution features; promotion focuses on increasing audience interaction and engagement; people include the role of the management team and management of two-way interactions with followers; process is reflected in the consistency of production flow and regular content distribution; and physical evidence is shown through the consistency of visual design and brand identity that builds account credibility. This study concludes that the implementation of the 7P Marketing Mix strategy through Instagram social media has proven effective in increasing information accessibility, expanding the reach of user engagement, and supporting job seekers' career literacy interactively.

Abstract

The emergence of the "stop paying taxes" movement on social media social phenomenon reflecting the decline of public trust in the government's management and distribution of tax revenues. This study aims to analyze the phenomenon from normative legal and sociological perspectives in order to understand its underlying causes and its implications for the relationship between the state and its citizens. This normative legal research employs conceptual, statutory, and sociological approaches through literature review of relevant legislation, legal theories, academic literature, and social data. The findings indicate that the emergence of the stop paying taxes movement should not be understood merely as an act of legal disobedience, but rather as an expression of public dissatisfaction with development disparities, weak transparency in budget management, corruption practices, and the suboptimal distribution of tax benefits to society. From the perspectives of social contract theory and state legitimacy theory, declining public trust has the potential to undermine tax compliance, which has long served as a fundamental pillar of state revenue. Nevertheless, the obligation to pay taxes remains constitutionally binding and therefore cannot be unilaterally rejected. Consequently, reforms in tax governance, enhanced accountability and transparency, and more equitable development policies are necessary to restore public trust and strengthen the legitimacy of the national taxation system.

Abstract

Hypertension or high blood pressure is a chronic medical condition characterized by a persistent increase in blood pressure above the normal threshold. Systolic blood pressure is more than 140 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure is more than 90 mmHg. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge levels and stress levels with the incidence of hypertension in the elderly. This type of research is quantitative using a case-control approach used to assess the role of risk factors for the disease. The population of this study were hypertension cases 50-89 years old, obtained from the latest data from hypertension classes in October 2025 in Mayungan II Village, Murtigading Village, Sanden, Bantul, with a total of 22 people. Using a total sampling of 22 case groups and 22 control groups with a total of 44 respondents. The results of the chi-square test show a Continuity Correction value of 7.425 with an Asymp.Sig.(2-sided) value of 0.006, meaning that the value is smaller than (α = 0.05) so that it can be stated (0.006 <0.05). and x² count 7.425> x² table 3.841) with Df = 1, it can be concluded that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, which means there is a significant relationship between knowledge and the incidence of hypertension in the elderly with an Odds Ratio (OR) for the knowledge variable (Not good/good) which is 7.286 (95% CI, 1.905–27.861). This shows that elderly people with a poor level of knowledge have a risk of experiencing hypertension 7.286 times greater than elderly people who have a good level of knowledge. The results of the Chi-Square test show a significant value (a = 0.000) and df = 2, where the value <0.000 and x² count (17,468) ≥ x² table (5,991), then Ha is accepted Ho is rejected. In conclusion, there is a relationship between the level of knowledge and stress levels with the incidence of hypertension in the elderly in Mayungan II Village, Murtigading Sanden Village, Bantul.
