Abstract

Marriage dispensation as a legal solution because most of the perpetrators of marriage dispensation are those who do not yet have formal legality to marry, so they then take legal efforts so that the marriage they carry out can be recognized. This study aims to determine the perspective of Islamic law, the Marriage Law and the Compilation of Islamic Law on marriage dispensation. The method used is qualitative with primary data sources from the Marriage Law, the Fiqh Book and the Compilation of Islamic Law while secondary data are books, journals, magazines related to marriage dispensation. The results of this study found that Islamic Law does not specifically regulate marriage dispensation because the majority of scholars only mention balig as a requirement for someone to marry and do not determine the minimum age of marriage, while Law Number 1 of 1974 concerning Marriage and the Compilation of Islamic Law strictly regulates underage marriage, namely it must go through a court hearing mechanism to obtain permission for marriage dispensation.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the content validity of the Belonging-Supportive Deep Learning Environments (BSDLE) instrument, designed to measure students’ perceptions of belonging, social support, and acceptance within higher education settings. The validation process involved expert evaluations in educational psychology to ensure the relevance, clarity, and alignment of the instrument items with the intended constructs. Content validity analysis using Aiken’s V yielded values ranging from 0.85 to 1.00, indicating a very high level of expert agreement on item quality. These results confirm that the BSDLE instrument has a strong foundation of content validity and is ready for subsequent empirical application. As a follow-up, it is recommended to conduct a Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) to comprehensively assess construct validity in a larger and more diverse population.

Abstract

Teachers must play a strategic role in leading the next generation, particularly those from marginalized groups who are frequently denied access to education, as a result of the transformation of education in the period of Industrial Revolution 4.0. In order to address the educational requirements of marginalized populations like the unemployed, low-income families, and children from broken homes, the Master Indonesia School in Depok, West Java, implemented the Independent Curriculum. This study focuses on this implementation. Observation, interviews, and documentation techniques are used in this qualitative, descriptive study. The Miles and Huberman model (data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing) is used in data analysis. The findings demonstrate how the Master School adapted the Independent Curriculum by fusing it with contextual learning ideas and components of the 2013 Curriculum. Religious programs like Al-Quran Reading Guidance (BBQ) and corpse care protocols, as well as nonreligious skill training in areas like online commerce, automotive, graphic design, screen printing, and theater, supplement the learning activities. A student-potential-based strategy and an autonomous learning curriculum are essential for empowering students from underrepresented groups.

Abstract

Community empowerment is a crucial strategy in creating sustainable social change, especially amidst the challenges of social inequality and limited access. In the context of national development, community empowerment is a strategic component in improving welfare, as well as creating socio-economic independence at the grassroots level. However, various social policies that have been implemented so far are often top-down, less responsive to local needs, and have not fully empowered communities as subjects of development. This study aims to analyze and formulate the direction of social policy development that is oriented towards increasing community capacity and participation in various areas of life. A qualitative approach is used through literature studies, policy analysis and interviews with related stakeholders. The focus of the analysis is directed at three main aspects: social policy design, implementation of empowerment programs, and community participation in the decision-making process. This study also evaluates inter-institutional integration and synergy between the government, civil society organizations, and the private sector. The results of the study indicate that participatory social policies, responsive to local needs, and based on community assets are more effective in encouraging community independence. In addition, integration between government programs and civil society initiatives is key to creating an inclusive empowerment ecosystem. This study recommends the need for social policy reformulation through a multi-sector approach, strengthening local institutions, and developing success indicators based on long-term social impacts.

Abstract

Religious moderation has become a key strategy in responding to the growing challenges of intolerance and radicalism, particularly within Islamic educational settings. This article aims to analyze how the values of religious moderation are integrated into Islamic education management through the framework of public policy. The study employs a library research method with content analysis of key documents such as Presidential Regulation No. 58 of 2020 on the Strengthening of Religious Moderation and the National Action Plan for the Prevention of Extremism (RAN PE) 2020–2024. The findings indicate that these policies promote the development of an inclusive institutional vision, the reinforcement of a moderate curriculum, and an evaluation system that instills the values of tolerance. However, policy implementation in the field still faces challenges such as limited human resources and suboptimal institutional synergy. This study emphasizes the importance of consistent regulatory support, continuous training, and collaboration among the government, educational institutions, and society to ensure that religious moderation is effectively implemented in the governance of Islamic education. Thus, religious moderation becomes not only a part of policy discourse but also an ethical foundation for the development of peaceful, inclusive, and sustainable Islamic education.

Abstract

The background of this research is the cultural diversity of santri from various regions in Indonesia which poses its own challenges in the communication process and the formation of ukhuwah. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the intercultural communication patterns of students in boarding schools were dominated by linear and circular communication. The main supporting factors for the establishment of ukhuwah are openness, tolerance, the active role of administrators in guiding students, and the existence of joint activities that are inclusive. However, obstacles that often arise include regional language differences, cultural stereotypes, and ethnocentrism. To overcome these obstacles, the boarding school applies strategies such as using Indonesian as a unifying language, strengthening the values of Islamic brotherhood, and habituation of intercultural interaction through activities at the boarding school. The conclusion of this study is that effective intercultural communication patterns play a significant role in building ukhuwah in a multicultural boarding school environment. With open communication and mutual respect, cultural differences can be managed into strengths to strengthen brotherhood between students. This research is expected to be a reference in developing intercultural communication strategies in the Islamic education environment.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of community-based Islamic economics through the initiative of Ranting Ekonomi Syariah (REKSYA), conducted by Ranting NU 1 Sidorejo in Banyuwangi. Within the context of the Society 5.0 era—marked by challenges such as climate change and economic inequality—Islamic economics, grounded in Islamic values, is viewed as a potential solution for building a just, sustainable, and spiritually oriented economic system. The research is motivated by low levels of Islamic financial literacy in rural areas, limited understanding of Islamic mu’amalah principles, and the dominance of conventional interest-based financial systems. Employing a site study approach, data were collected through observation and in-depth interviews with administrators and residents of Ranting NU 1 Sidorejo. The findings reveal that REKSYA NU has successfully developed a socio-economic ecosystem based on Islamic Social Finance principles, including interest-free microenterprise financing, free healthcare for the underprivileged (dhu’afaa), and scholarships for orphans and low-income families. These programs not only strengthen the social function of religious organizations but also promote economic self-reliance among villagers. The concept of the halal value chain is integrated into empowerment processes by optimizing local potentials such as agriculture and livestock. The success of REKSYA is evidenced by its recognition as a model “Kampung NU” at the regency level and active community participation in Islamic financial activities. The study concludes that religious organizations like NU play a vital role in fostering economic awareness and promoting Islamic financial inclusion at the grassroots level. It recommends the replication of similar models in other communities, with contextual adaptation and strong institutional support.
