Abstract

Green financing is financing that supports sustainable development. The Financial Services Authority (OJK) is a state institution that supports sustainable finance, this is reinforced by regulations that encourage financial institutions to contribute to environmentally friendly activities. One of the financial institutions that implement green financing is Islamic banking. Banks are not only required to improve environmental sustainability, but also improve financial performance. This study aims to determine the role of capital adequacy in mediating the influence of Green Financing on the financial performance of Islamic banking in Indonesia. The population in this study is all Islamic commercial banks registered in the FSA, while the sample is determined through purposive sampling method. The data analysis method used is path analysis. The results showed that Green financing has a significant effect on financial performance. Capital adequacy has no significant effect on financial performance. Green financing has no significant effect on capital adequacy. Thus, it can be concluded that capital adequacy does not act as a mediation of the influence of green financing on the financial performance of Islamic banks in Indonesia.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to examine the implementation of the Mudharabah Muthlaqah contract in the Tarawi Savings Program as a mechanism for collecting charitable funds at BMT NU Glenmore Branch. The Tarawi Savings Program, also known as the Ukhrawi Savings Program, is a saving product based on the Mudharabah Muthlaqah contract that enables members to save while simultaneously engaging in charitable activities without reducing their principal balance. This research employs a qualitative method through field observations, interviews, and documentation analysis. The findings indicate that the management of the Tarawi Savings Program at BMT NU Glenmore has been carried out effectively, transparently, and in accordance with sharia principles. All collected funds are accurately recorded in the administrative system and managed to generate profit, which is subsequently distributed to the poor, orphans, and other social beneficiaries. The strategy for collecting charitable funds includes excellent customer service, a deposit pick-up system, and religious based approaches that encourage member participation. The profit-sharing system where 50% of the profit is allocated to social and charitable activities allows members to contribute sustainably to social welfare. Members are motivated to participate because of spiritual values, social concern, and the belief that saving through the Tarawi Savings Program brings both worldly and ukhrawi (spiritual) benefits. Overall, the Tarawi Savings Program serves as an innovative sharia-based financial service that successfully integrates economic and social functions, empowers the community, and strengthens public trust in BMT NU Glenmore.

Abstract

Extreme poverty remains a strategic challenge in regional development, including in Lumajang Regency. Various poverty alleviation policies have been implemented through local social assistance, zakat management, and community empowerment programs; however, their implementation tends to be fragmented and lacks sustainable integration. This study aims to analyze extreme poverty alleviation policies in Lumajang Regency and to reconstruct them using the Maqāṣid al-Sharī‘ah approach. This research employs a qualitative policy research method through document analysis of regional development planning documents, social assistance policies, and zakat programs, complemented by a review of recent scholarly literature. The findings indicate that current poverty alleviation policies are predominantly oriented toward consumptive assistance, which mainly fulfills the objective of preserving life (ḥifẓ al-nafs), while the objectives of economic empowerment (ḥifẓ al-māl) and human capacity development (ḥifẓ al-‘aql) have not been systematically integrated. This study concludes that a reconstruction of extreme poverty alleviation policies based on Maqāṣid al-Sharī‘ah is necessary through the integration of local social assistance, productive zakat, and community empowerment to achieve sustainable social welfare.

Abstract

This study analyzes Kampung NU as an arena of power by examining the interplay between community empowerment and local authority in Benelan Lor Village. Kampung NU has emerged as a community-based religious initiative that intersects with village governance, religious identity, and grassroots participation. The objective of this research is to explore how Kampung NU operates not only as a mechanism for social empowerment but also as a space where power relations among village officials, Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) grassroots elites, and local communities are constructed and negotiated. This research employs a qualitative case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, document analysis, and supported by preliminary survey data. The findings indicate that Kampung NU performs a dual function: strengthening religious identity and social cohesion while simultaneously serving as an instrument of symbolic and structural power for local elites. Empowerment narratives are predominantly framed through dominant religious discourse, influencing participation patterns and authority distribution at the village level. The study concludes that Kampung NU represents a dialectical space where empowerment and power coexist, revealing the complexity of religion-based community development in rural Indonesia.

Abstract

This study analyzes the conversion of cultural capital of the Osing Tribe into an economic driver through Community-Based Tourism (CBT) in Kemiren Village, Banyuwangi. The focus is to examine how tangible cultural wealth (such as language, art, and architecture) and institutionalized (as Cultural Heritage and Superior Tourism Villages) is managed as sustainable economic assets. The goal is to uncover the mechanisms and impacts of cultural capital transformation in the community-based tourism value chain. With a qualitative approach to case studies, data is collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document studies. The results of the study show that Pokdarwis and BUMDes play a strategic curatorial role in packaging cultural capital into an integrated experience package, creating an independent economic ecosystem and maintaining narrative authority in the hands of the community. This success is supported by participatory governance that strengthens cultural sustainability, social cohesion, and economic resilience. It is concluded that community-centered CBT and cultural sovereignty are an effective model for sustainable development, with the main challenge of maintaining a balance between commercialization and the integrity of cultural values.

Abstract

The development of digital media provides new opportunities for mosques to perform da‘wah while simultaneously strengthening community empowerment. Mosques are no longer merely places of worship, but also function as centers of social communication and capacity building for Muslim communities through digital platforms. This article aims to describe and analyze a Service Learning–based community engagement program focused on strengthening digital da‘wah at the Anas Mahfud Grand Mosque in Lumajang, Indonesia. The program employed a participatory approach through mentoring in digital da‘wah management, capacity building for mosque administrators and volunteer media teams, development of contextual digital content, and optimization of social media platforms as tools for congregational communication and empowerment. Data were collected through participant observation, interviews, documentation, and qualitative evaluation of congregational responses and participation in digital spaces. The results indicate that strengthening digital da‘wah contributed to a significant increase in congregational participation, expansion of community social networks, and reinforcement of the mosque’s role as a center for community empowerment. Within one month, Facebook followers increased from approximately 2,000 to over 5,000, while YouTube subscribers rose from around 100 to 821. These findings confirm that mosque-based digital da‘wah is an effective community engagement strategy for strengthening the social capacity of Muslim communities in the digital era.

Abstract

The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) in the digital era has transformed the learning paradigm in various fields, including Islamic education. AI-based learning innovations are crucial for improving the quality and access of Islamic education. This study aims to examine AI learning innovations in Islamic education, focusing on quality, from three perspectives: opportunities, risks, and implications for equitable distribution of Islamic education. The research method used was a qualitative approach, consisting of a systematic literature review (2023-2025) and thematic analysis. The literature review revealed three main findings. First, AI offers significant opportunities through personalized learning, increased teaching efficiency, and broader and more adaptive access to materials, which can enrich the learning experience of students and educators. Second, there are significant risks, such as gaps in technology access, data privacy issues, and the reduction and potential inconsistency with Islamic values. Third, the implications for equitable distribution of Islamic education are two-fold. AI can support equitable distribution by providing quality learning resources in marginalized areas, but without adequate infrastructure and educator competency, this technology risks widening the gap. In conclusion, the application of AI in Islamic education promises to improve the quality and inclusiveness of learning. However, this requires risk mitigation efforts and supporting policies to ensure this innovation truly supports equitable distribution of the quality of Islamic education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the crucial role of feasibility analysis as a strategic risk mitigation instrument in maintaining business continuity amid escalating global uncertainty. The research method employed is library research by synthesizing five selected scholarly articles published between 2020 and 2025. Literature selection was based on methodological diversity, ranging from technical tools such as House of Risk (HoR) to qualitative phenomenological approaches. The findings indicate that risk management has transformed from a mere compliance function into the heart of organizational sustainability strategy. The integration of technical precision (quantitative approach) and the subjective reality of business actors (qualitative approach) is proven to create a more holistic risk identification framework to avoid Black Swan Events. Resulting mitigation strategies include SOP reinforcement, product diversification, hedging strategies, and supply chain collaboration supported by information technology. Feasibility analysis serves as a preventive measure that strengthens the long-term resilience and competitiveness of companies in international markets.
