Abstract

Employee performance is a strategic determinant of public sector organizational effectiveness, including the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda), which plays a central role in formulating development policies. The complexity of tasks in the Regional Development Planning, Research, and Innovation Agency (Bappedalitbang) of Cilegon City and the Bappeda of Serang City necessitates strong intrinsic and extrinsic motivation to achieve optimal performance. This study aims to analyze the influence of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation on job satisfaction and employee performance, as well as to examine the mediating role of job satisfaction in both relationships. The research focuses on employees of Bappedalitbang Cilegon City and Bappeda Serang City as representatives of regional development planning institutions with distinct tasks and challenges. A quantitative research approach was employed, utilizing Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) for data analysis. The sample was determined using the 10 times rule (Hair et al., 2022), resulting in 110 respondents. The findings indicate that intrinsic and extrinsic motivation have a significant positive effect on both job satisfaction and employee performance. Job satisfaction also significantly and positively affects employee performance and serves as a significant mediator in the relationship between both motivational factors and performance.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the disparity in employee data at the BKPSDM of Lebak Regency, Serang City, and Cilegon City, which arose due to suboptimal digital transformation and a work environment that did not fully support employee performance improvement. This condition has implications for the hampered employee service process and weakened employee work motivation. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of digital transformation and the work environment on employee performance, with work motivation as a mediating variable. The research method uses a quantitative approach with a Partial Least Squares (PLS-SEM)-based structural equation analysis technique processed using SmartPLS 3 software. The study population was all 185 BKPSDM employees in the three regions, with a sample of 127 employees determined using the Yamane formula. The research instrument was compiled based on the indicators of each variable, then tested for validity and reliability before use. The results of the study indicate that digital transformation and the work environment have a significant effect on employee performance, but digital transformation is not proven to have a direct effect on motivation. Instead, motivation plays an important role as an intermediary variable that bridges the relationship between the work environment and employee performance. The discussion of these findings confirms that the success of civil servant performance is determined not only by the adoption of digital technology, but also by the quality of a supportive work environment and internally developed motivation. This demonstrates the importance of strategies to strengthen motivation, increase digital capacity, and create a conducive work climate to optimize employee performance. In conclusion, this study provides empirical evidence that digital transformation needs to be accompanied by improvements in the work environment and strengthened motivation as a comprehensive strategy to enhance BKPSDM employee performance.

Abstract

The performance of Regional Secretariat employees is a strategic factor in improving the quality of public services. However, discipline issues and dissatisfaction with incentives are still found in the Regional Secretariat of Lebak Regency, potentially reducing work motivation and impacting employee performance. This study aims to analyze the influence of work discipline and incentives on employee performance, with motivation as a mediating variable. The research method uses a quantitative approach with Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis techniques. Data were collected through distributing questionnaires to employees of the Regional Secretariat of Lebak Regency, then analyzed to test the direct and indirect effects between variables. The results show that work discipline and motivation have a significant positive effect on employee performance. Conversely, incentives do not have a direct effect on employee performance, although through motivation, incentives can have an indirect effect. These findings emphasize the importance of strengthening a culture of discipline and work motivation as a more effective strategy than relying solely on incentive policies. Thus, human resource management within the Regional Secretariat of Lebak Regency needs to be more directed at improving discipline and empowering internal employee motivation

Abstract

Investment disparities between regions in Banten Province show significant differences. Cilegon City achieved the highest realization of IDR 34.696 trillion, while Serang City achieved the lowest at IDR 453.511 billion in 2024. This phenomenon indicates variations in the implementation of democratic leadership, work environment conditions, and employee motivation levels at the DPMPTSP, which influence investment performance. This study aims to analyze the influence of democratic leadership and the work environment on investment performance, both directly and through employee motivation as a mediating variable. The research location is the DPMPTSP of Banten Province, Cilegon City, and Serang City. The study used a quantitative method with a survey approach of 196 licensing and investment service employees. Questionnaires were collected through google form with scala Likert 1-5 and analyzed using PLS-SEM through SmartPLS 4.0 The results of the study indicate that seven hypotheses are accepted. Employee work motivation has the strongest influence on investment performance, followed by democratic leadership on motivation and work environment on motivation. Employee work motivation is proven to mediate the relationship between democratic leadership and work environment on investment performance. The integration of democratic leadership, a conducive work environment, and employee work motivation is the key to improving DPMPTSP investment performance. Practical implications are aimed at optimizing human resources and improving the work climate in public investment services.

Abstract

Culinary MSMEs in Cilegon City play a crucial role in the regional economy, but the low digital skills and digital knowledge of business actors pose a challenge in today's technological developments. This study aims to determine the extent of influence of digital skills and digital knowledge on business actor performance, with entrepreneurial spirit as a mediating variable. The research method used is quantitative with a causal approach. The study population consisted of 3,681 business actors, with a sample of 120 respondents taken using the technique. cluster area sampling. Data were collected through a questionnaire with a Likert scale of 1-5 and analyzed using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) based Partial Least Square (PLS). The results of the study indicate that digital skills and entrepreneurial spirit have a direct positive and significant effect on performance. Digital knowledge does not have a significant direct effect on performance. Digital skills do not have a significant effect on entrepreneurial spirit), but digital knowledge has a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial spirit. Entrepreneurial spirit does not mediate the relationship between digital skills and performance, but mediates the relationship between digital knowledge and performance. In conclusion, improving digital skills and digital knowledge accompanied by strengthening the entrepreneurial spirit can be an effective strategy to boost the performance of micro-entrepreneurs in the culinary sector in Cilegon City.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis secara mendalam pengaruhkebijakan dividen, kepemilikan manajerial, dan pertumbuhan (growth) terhadap struktur modal pada perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) selama periode 2022–2024. Struktur modal merupakan aspek penting dalam manajemen keuangan karena menentukankomposisi pendanaan perusahaan, baik yang berasal dari modal sendirimaupun pinjaman. Faktor internal seperti kebijakan dividen dan kepemilikan manajerial, serta faktor eksternal berupa peluangpertumbuhan, diyakini berperan dalam membentuk keputusan pendanaanyang optimal. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif denganmetode kausal, memanfaatkan data sekunder dari laporan keuangantahunan. Sampel penelitian ditentukan melalui teknik purposive sampling dan terdiri dari 6 perusahaan manufaktur yang memenuhi kriteria. Analisisdata dilakukan dengan regresi linear berganda disertai uji asumsi klasikuntuk memastikan validitas model. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwakebijakan dividen memiliki pengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadapstruktur modal. Manajerial Ownership tidak berpengaruh signifikanterhadap struktur modal. Growth berpengaruh signifikan terhadap strukturmodal. ketiga variabel independen terbukti berpengaruh signifikan terhadapstruktur modal. Secara simultan, ketiga variabel independen terbuktiberpengaruh signifikan terhadap struktur modal. Penelitian inimenyimpulkan bahwa kebijakan dividen dan growth merupakan faktordominan dalam pembentukan struktur modal perusahaan manufaktur, sementara manajerial ownership memiliki kontribusi yang relatif kecil.

Abstract

In the digital age, technological literacy is an important factor in supporting community participation in various aspects of life, including the economy, education, and public services. However, the level of technological literacy in Indonesia, especially in areas such as West Sulawesi, is still relatively low. This can be seen from the limited understanding of the community in using technology effectively and safely, as well as the low utilization of digital services provided by the government. As the agency responsible for communication and information technology, the West Sulawesi Communication and Information Agency is expected to play an active role in improving the technological literacy of the community This study aims to determine the effect of Digital Leadership and Organizational Culture on Millennial Employee Creativity at the West Sulawesi Communication, Informatics, and Encryption Agency. The research method used was a survey with a saturated sampling technique, in which all subordinate employees who met the research criteria were included in the sample. The sample size was 64 millennial employees. The results of the study indicate that Digital Leadership does not influence Millennial Employee Creativity, with a significance value of 0.00>0.05. Organizational Culture has a significant partial effect on Millennial Employee Creativity with a significance value of 0.00<0.05. Organizational Culture has a strong and significant effect on Millennial Employee Creativity, while Digital Leadership does not have a significant effect on Millennial Employee Creativity in this model.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh Bandwagon Effect dan Viral Marketing terhadap minat berwirausaha pada sektor UMKM coffee shop di Kota Makassar. Secara khusus, penelitian ini menguji peran Sosial Media sebagai variabel moderasi, untuk mengetahui apakah kehadirannya dapat memperkuat atau memperlemah hubungan antara variabel-variabel tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Viral Marketing memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap minat berwirausaha, sementara Bandwagon Effect tidak berpengaruh signifikan. Temuan kunci dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa hipotesis mengenai peran Sosial Media sebagai variabel moderasi ditolak. Analisis data tidak menemukan bukti statistik yang cukup untuk menyatakan bahwa Sosial Media mampu memoderasi (memperkuat atau memperlemah) pengaruh Bandwagon Effect maupun Viral Marketing terhadap minat berwirausaha. Simpulan dari riset ini adalah bahwa minat berwirausaha di sektor ini lebih didorong secara langsung oleh efektivitas strategi pemasaran digital yang viral, bukan oleh dorongan ikut-ikutan tren. Peran Sosial Media dalam model ini tidak terbukti sebagai faktor kondisional (moderator), yang mengindikasikan bahwa pengaruhnya mungkin lebih bersifat universal atau perlu diteliti lebih lanjut sebagai pendorong langsung

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh manfaat e-commerce, orientasi pasar, dan orientasi wirausaha terhadap kinerja UMKM Kabupaten Dompu. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis regresi linear berganda. Hasil uji t menunjukan bahwa variabel manfaat e-commerce berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kunerja UMKM, dengan nilai t hitung sebesar 12,732 ≥ t tabel yaitu 1,662, dan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 ≤ 0,05. Orientasi pasar berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja UMKM, dengan nilai t hitung sebesar 2,284 ≥ t tabel yaitu 1,662, dan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,025 ≤ 0,05. Orientasi kewiraushaan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja UMKM, dengan nilai t hitung sebesar 2,206 ≥ t tabel yaitu 1,662, dan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,030 ≤ 0,05. Sedangkan uji f menunjukkan bahwa nilai F hitung sebesar 331,218 ≥ f tabel yaitu 2,705, dengan tingkat signifikansi 0,000 ≤ 0,05, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa variabel manfaat e-commerce, orientasi pasar, dan orientasi kewirausahaan secara bersama-sama berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Kinerja UMKM Kabupaten Dompu.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas Implementasi Sistem Informasi Manajemen SDM di PT PLN (Persero) Dompu. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui manfaat, hambatan, dan faktor-faktor yang mendukung keberhasilan Implementasi Sistem Informasi manajemen SDM, serta peran teknologi informasi dalam mengelola SDM. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, di mana data diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Implementasi Sistem Informasi Manajemen SDM memberikan manfaat seperti meningkatkan efisiensi kerja, membantu pengambilan keputusan berdasarkan data, dan menaikkan kepuasan karyawan. Namun, ada beberapa hambatan yang dihadapi, seperti ketidakpedulian karyawan terhadap perubahan dan kebutuhan akan pelatihan yang cukup. Faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi keberhasilan Implementasi Sistem Informasi Manajemen SDM meliputi dukungan dari atasan, partisipasi semua pihak, keberadaan infrastruktur teknologi yang memadai, serta adanya pelatihan yang tepat. Teknologi informasi juga berperan penting dalam memudahkan akses data, mengotomatisasi proses, dan memperkuat komunikasi. Penelitian ini menyarankan adanya evaluasi yang terus-menerus, pelatihan yang sesuai, serta pembentukan budaya kerja yang mendukung penggunaan teknologi untuk meningkatkan pengelolaan SDM di perusahaan BUMN.
