Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implications of budget politics on the quality of education in schools. The main problem in this study is how education budget policies are influenced by political dynamics, and to what extent this impacts the quality of education services in schools. This study uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method and in-depth interviews with a number of school principals and education policy makers. The results of the study show that the budgeting process is often influenced by certain political interests which cause budget allocations not always based on the real needs of schools. This has an impact on the lack of educational facilities, limited teacher training, and the low effectiveness of quality improvement programs. The conclusion of this study shows that transparency and accountability in the budget politics process are very important to ensure the quality of sustainable education in schools. A strong political commitment is needed to place education as a national development priority.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that some children still face difficulties in reading the Qur'an properly and correctly, especially in terms of pronunciation and basic understanding of the reading. This demonstrates the importance of the teacher's role in designing appropriate strategies in learning to read and write the Qur'an. The purpose of this study is to describe the strategies implemented by Qur'an teachers in improving Qur'an reading skills in Ujung Padang Village, Padangsidimpuan. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a descriptive type. Data collection techniques were carried out through direct observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. Data were analyzed through the process of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions, and verified using triangulation techniques to ensure valid and reliable results. The results show that Qur'an teachers apply six main strategies: selecting an individual approach, establishing learning procedures, selecting varied methods and techniques, determining success indicators, instilling the value of appreciation for reading, and establishing etiquette in reading the Qur'an. These strategies have proven effective in developing Qur'an reading skills while shaping children's character and spiritual attitudes.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has brought fundamental changes to the global education system, including redefining the role of teachers in the classroom. This study aims to comprehensively examine how the role of teachers has transformed in the digital era using a literature review approach. The analysis was conducted on various scientific publications from accredited national and international journals in the period 2021–2025. The results of the study show that teachers no longer only act as transmitters of knowledge, but also as facilitators, mentors, innovators, and managers of digital learning environments. This role requires mastery of digital literacy, digital pedagogical skills, and adaptive readiness to dynamic technological changes. On the other hand, challenges such as limited infrastructure, digital access gaps, and low professional readiness are major issues that need to be addressed. This study recommends the need for education policies that support ongoing training and strengthening of teacher capacity so that they are able to play an optimal role in supporting 21st century learning. The results of this study are expected to provide theoretical and practical contributions to the development of digital education policies and strategies in Indonesia.

Abstract

 This study discusses the policies of the South Tapanuli Regency Government in the field of Islamic education and their implications for improving the public’s understanding of Islamic religious education. The problem addressed is how these policies are implemented and the extent of their influence on the community’s comprehension of Islamic education. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach, involving interviews, observations, and documentation as data collection techniques. Data analysis is conducted descriptively and qualitatively to provide an in-depth description of the policies and their impacts. The results show that the policies implemented by the South Tapanuli Regency Government have made a positive contribution to increasing public awareness and understanding of Islamic religious education. However, there are several obstacles in the implementation that require attention to optimize the effectiveness of the policies. In conclusion, government policies play a strategic role in strengthening Islamic education and significantly influence the improvement of public understanding.

Abstract

The issue of gender equality in education has been an ongoing topic of discussion, including in the context of Islamic education. So far, there is an assumption that Islam limits women's freedom of movement, especially in obtaining education. This study aims to examine the policies of the Prophet Muhammad SAW on women's education as a form of reflection on the principle of gender equality in Islam. The main focus of this study is how the Prophet Muhammad SAW provided space and opportunities for women to access education, as well as its impact on the intellectual and social development of Muslim society in the early days of Islam. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a library research type. Data were obtained through a literature review of primary sources such as authentic hadiths, sirah nabawiyah, and relevant secondary literature on education in Islam and gender issues. Data analysis was carried out descriptively-critically in order to describe and interpret the practice of women's education during the time of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. The results of the study show that the Prophet Muhammad SAW actively encouraged and facilitated education for women, both in religious and social aspects. This is evidenced by the existence of educated female figures during his time, such as Aisyah RA who became a reference for knowledge for her companions. The Prophet's policies reflect the values ​​of equality, justice, and respect for women's rights in gaining knowledge. The conclusion of this study is that Islamic education truly upholds the principle of gender equality, as reflected in the practices and policies of the Prophet Muhammad SAW towards women's education.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the role of Islamic religious education in preventing student bullying behavior in the Al-Yusfia school environment. Bullying is one of the widespread social problems in the educational environment and has a negative impact on students' psychological and academic development. It is expected that Islamic religious leadership can shape morality and character to form students who have morality and stay away from various behaviors such as bullies. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method where data is collected through observation, interviews and documents. The results of the study indicate that Islamic religious education plays an important role in the design of students' moral awareness through teaching materials, teacher examples, and religious activities integrated into school life. Internalization of Islamic values ​​such as compassion, mutual respect, and brotherhood causes students to show more tolerance and stay away from bullying behavior. In short, the development of Islamic religion in al-Yusufiyah plays an important role in preventing bullying, but requires support from all parties to ensure that the results are more optimal.

Abstract

The process of internalizing educational character values ​​in the formation of adolescent morality, especially amidst social dynamics and technological advances that often influence the behavior of the younger generation. Adolescence is a crucial developmental phase, where individuals are searching for identity and are vulnerable to negative influences from their surroundings, such as social media, promiscuity, and identity crises. In this context, character education plays a crucial role as a foundation for the formation of a strong and moral personality. Through a qualitative approach with a literature study method, this study found that the internalization of character values ​​such as honesty, responsibility, tolerance, discipline, and cooperation must be carried out continuously and integrated through various approaches, including role models from teachers and parents, positive habits in the school environment, and support from the community. These values, if instilled from an early age, can shape adolescent morality that is strong and adaptive to the challenges of the times. The results of the study indicate that character education does not only function as part of the formal curriculum, but must also become an inherent culture in everyday life, both in the educational environment and the family. Thus, the internalization of character values ​​is a long-term investment in shaping a young generation that is not only intellectually intelligent, but also morally and socially mature.

Abstract

With the advancement of technology, of course there will be huge challenges that Islamic education will face. where the digital era can accompany various changes in various aspects of life, including changes in the world of education. Globalization accelerates the pace of knowledge and various kinds of news and relations between cultures,  deliver Islamic education so that it can adapt its values without losing its original values. Through the library study method and it was found that the digitalization of Islamic education, technology integration, and strengthening Islamic values is the main key in facing the dynamic global era.

Abstract

The Nizamiyah Madrasah, founded in the 11th century CE by Nizam al-Mulk the prime minister of the Seljuk Dynasty has been a pivotal point in the history of ancient Islamic education. The institution not only contributed to the development of Islamic science, but also served as a strategic tool in the political agenda of power. This research aims to analyze the relationship between education and politics through a literature study with a historical analysis approach. The main findings show that the establishment of the Nizamiyah Madrasah served as a state tool to strengthen the political legitimacy of the Seljuk Dynasty, disseminate Sunni ideology systematically, and limit the influence of opposition groups such as Shia and other schools of thought that were considered deviant. The main contribution of this study lies in understanding how classical Islamic educational institutions were utilized as tools for the consolidation of power and the domination of state ideology.
