Abstract

This study aims to explore the lifestyle of UIN Syahada Padangsidimpuan students and its relationship with their mental health. The method used was a survey of a randomly selected sample of students. The variables studied include diet, physical activity, sleep patterns, and social media usage. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical techniques. The results showed that most students tend to have an unhealthy diet, lack of physical activity, and irregular sleep. In addition, excessive social media use was also found to be associated with higher levels of stress and anxiety. These findings indicate the need for interventions to improve students' understanding and behavior in maintaining their mental health.

Abstract

The purpose of this review is to determine the significance of strategic management in raising educational standards. The review approach employed is literature, which involves gathering diverse supporting article references from worldwide and national publications. The study’s findings, presented as papers, demonstrate a considerable rise in educational quality in well-managed schools. Schools that are not supported by a good management process can develop an irregular organizational rhythm, resulting in a failure to meet instructional goals. Improving educational quality will undoubtedly benefit school graduates. Strategic management allows for the expansion of future potential while also minimizing realized hazards. Strategic management is only possible if all parties directly involved in the school, such as school administrators, parents of students, lecturers and staff, are involved.

Abstract

Educating children with special needs is a challenge in the world of education, because not all schools are ready to accommodate children with special needs in their educational environment. Children with special needs generally grow and develop with a number of differences compared to children in general. In special education in Indonesia, children with special needs are classified into blind, deaf, physically disabled, mentally retarded and hearing impaired. Every child with special needs also requires special services that are appropriate to their abilities and characteristics. It is important to carry out activities that recognize not only the abilities and needs of children with special needs, but also their characteristics. The aim of this research is to identify the characteristics of ABK. The methods used were observation, interviews and documentation, after which the data was analyzed qualitatively and descriptively. Social and communication development is the most important disorder, as in normal people, impaired verbal intelligence or language, and difficulty in continually renewing behavior, desires, pleasures and habits. Based on interviews, observations and literature, children with special needs are proven to have characteristics in the areas of communication, social interaction, sensory abilities, playing styles, behavior and emotions.

Abstract

Islamic education is an important aspect in forming the character and personality of students. However, in its implementation, there are still many obstacles faced, one of which is the low learning achievement of students in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subjects. This is caused by various factors, such as less attractive learning methods, inadequate learning media, and lack of student motivation. This research aims to develop innovative Islamic education methods that are effective for improving student learning achievement. The method used in this research is a qualitative method, with data collection techniques.The research results show that there are several factors that can improve student learning achievement in PAl subjects, namely: 1) applying innovative and interesting learning methods, 2) creating a conducive and enjoyable learning atmosphere, 3) increasing student motivation, 4) connecting the material learning with everyday life. Based on the research results, it was concluded that innovative Islamic education methods that are effective in improving student learning achievement must pay attention to several aspects, namely: 1) Active involvement of students in the learning process, 2) utilization of various learning resources, 3) continuous and comprehensive assessment. It is hoped that this research can contribute to the development of more effective and innovative PAI learning methods, so that it can improve student learning achievement and achieve the goals of Islamic education.

Abstract

This journal discusses the importance of Islamic religious education in the context of increasingly complex globalization. This study aims to explore how Islamic religious education can equip the younger generation with strong moral and ethical values, so that they are able to face various challenges that arise due to the influence of global culture. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection through literature studies and interviews with educators and community leaders. The results of the study show that Islamic religious education plays an important role in shaping the character and identity of students, as well as increasing their awareness of religious values amidst the rapid flow of information. In addition, religious education also functions as a tool to strengthen tolerance and harmony between religious communities. This journal recommends the need for integration of Islamic religious education into the national curriculum so that it can be more effective in forming a generation that is not only intellectually intelligent, but also has a high moral commitment. Thus, Islamic religious education is expected to be a solid foundation for the younger generation in facing the challenges of globalization.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the environment on students’ learning motivation. The learning environment is an important factor that can affect the level of motivation and academic success of students. This study uses a literature study approach by analyzing various journals, articles, and books that are relevant to the influence of the environment on learning motivation. The methodology used is descriptive qualitative analysis, by collecting and summarizing the results of previous studies that discuss environmental factors, such as family, school, and social environments, which can affect learning motivation. The results of the study indicate that a supportive environment, both in terms of physical, social, and emotional, has a positive impact on increasing student learning motivation. Conversely, an unconducive environment can reduce motivation and potentially hinder the student learning process. This study concludes that the role of the environment is very significant in shaping and increasing student learning motivation, so it is important for educators and parents to create an environment that supports the development of children’s learning motivation.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the mathematical problems faced by students in elementary schools. The main focus of this study is to understand the obstacles that arise in learning mathematics and the factors that influence them. The methodology used in this study is a qualitative approach with in-depth interview techniques with teachers and classroom observations in several elementary schools in urban and rural areas. The results of the study indicate that the main problems faced by students in learning mathematics are the lack of understanding of basic concepts, limited time allocated for mathematics subjects, and the lack of interesting learning resources and media. In addition, student motivation factors and parental support also play an important role in the success of mathematics learning in elementary schools. This study provides recommendations for improvements in teaching methods and improvements in supporting facilities for mathematics learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

The role of information technology in education is growing rapidly, including in the teaching of the Islamic religion. This research aims to examine how information technology can be used to develop students' understanding of Islamic teachings at MTsN 3 Labuhan Batu. Information technology allows the use of various learning media that are more interesting, interactive and easily accessible to students. In this research, the method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data was collected through interviews, observation and documentation at MTsN 3 Labuhan Batu. The research results show that information technology, such as the use of computer devices, the internet, and multimedia-based learning applications, plays an important role in increasing students' understanding of Islamic teaching material. The use of learning videos, e-books and online platforms allows students to more easily understand Islamic concepts in depth and relevant to current developments. Apart from that, the use of social media also provides opportunities for students to discuss and share information related to Islamic teachings. Thus, the use of information technology at MTsN 3 Labuhan Batu contributes positively to enriching the teaching and learning process and increasing understanding of Islamic teachings among students.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the impact of PAI learning on students’ social awareness. This study analyzes previous journals to investigate the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in increasing students’ social awareness in secondary schools. The research method uses a literature analysis approach by identifying and evaluating key findings from previous studies that are relevant to this topic. Data was obtained from journal articles, books and other related research published in the last period. The results of the analysis show that PAI can significantly influence students’ understanding and social behavior, by emphasizing values such as justice, empathy and social responsibility. The implications of these findings highlight the importance of supporting and expanding more in-depth research on how PAI can be optimized to effectively increase students’ social awareness in educational settings.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) has an important role in the formation of students’ character, both in spiritual, moral, social, and emotional terms. One of the main goals of education is to produce a generation with noble and responsible morals. However, there are still challenges to maximize the role of PAI in the formation of students’ character, especially amidst the development of technology and globalization, which influences the way people think and act. This study uses theoretical studies to collect and analyze relevant literature and theories. The study conducted shows that PAI plays a major role in instilling values such as faith, piety, honesty, and tolerance in students. This can be achieved through a learning appoarch based on values and role models. PAI can also help students become more noble and better. This study found that cooperation between teachers, students, and parents and the use of methods that are in accordance with the development of the times.
