Abstract

Management of inclusive classroom learning is an important part in achieving learning goals. However, this has not been implemented optimally. The purpose of this research is to explore the implementation of inclusion-based learning in elementary schools. This research is a case study approach. The informants in this study were two regular teachers from low grades, one regular teacher from high grades, and a special supervising teacher. Data collection techniques in this study used the observation method, interview method, and documentation method. Test the validity of the data used in this study, namely the credibility test on the results of qualitative research using data triangulation techniques, namely source triangulation, technical triangulation, time extension triangulation. The data analysis technique used is data reduction, data presentation, conclusion and verification. The results show that the implementation of inclusive learning is almost the same as the implementation of learning in general. The difference lies in the teachers who teach and the basic competencies used. The teacher who teaches is the special supervising teacher. His job is to teach inclusive students and create individual learning programs. In the individual implementation program there are three activities, namely, introduction, core, and closing. The special supervising teacher has carried out activities in a coherent manner in accordance with the learning rules. Some activities cannot be carried out properly or even not carried out at all. The reason is because the condition of the child does not allow for these activities. So that inclusive learning is child-centered, GPK will carry out learning according to the child's mood.

Abstract

Reading proficiency among students during a pandemic demonstrated a lack of motivation in reading among students during online learning. Then, it is also absent in the observations made regarding the reader's comprehension of the text supplied during lectures. The offered reading took a lot of work for half of the 40 students to understand. The study aimed to describe the students in PGSD FKIP UBT's reading speed and reading comprehension of the reading material. Utilizing a qualitative approach, this investigation. The study's participants were 17 members of the 2019 batch of PGSD students, who were split up into different classrooms. This topic was picked because, as of July 2021, there were still pandemic conditions. The understanding test approach was employed in the data collection process. Based on the study's findings, information on students' reading comprehension and speed reading skills in the medium category was gathered. This is demonstrated by the typical student's reading comprehension score of 61%–70% and their speed reading score of 247.78 KPM, respectively. Based on the data collected, it can be said that the 2019 PGSD FKIP students do not have sufficient reading speed or comprehension because they are still unable to receive a score in the good group.

Abstract

Basic movement proficiency (FMS) is most successfully acquired during the early school years. This happens at the beginning and after 2.5 years of primary school physical education. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of selected exercises on motor development in first year elementary school students in Jambi City, Indonesia. This research is semi-experimental in nature, carried out in the field and using experimental and control groups. The statistical population includes all first-year elementary school students in Jambi city (7523 students). Fifty-six of them were randomly selected (cluster stage) and then randomly divided into two groups: experiment (N=26, mean age=6.9 ± 0.55) and control (N=28, mean age). average = average = 6.9 ± 0.59). ). The experimental group was given training for eight weeks, 2 sessions per week and each session lasted 45 minutes. To measure motor development, the Test of Gross Motor Development edition 2 (TGMD-2) is used. Statistical analysis was performed using independent t-test and paired t-test. The results showed a statistically significant difference between the control and experimental groups regarding movement skills (8.637, P<0.05). In fact, the integration of basic motion exercises in physical education has an impact on their motor development. By integrating basic movement exercises, it can be used as an appropriate plan to improve the development of movement skills in first-year elementary school students.

Abstract

The rise of school principals with multiple positions in Indonesia raises concerns about the quality of the schools they lead, especially their duties as school managers. This study aims to find out cases of dual school principals and their effects on elementary school management. This study uses a qualitative method with multiple case study designs. Data collection used an open interview instrument with 4 school principals with multiple positions in Cirebon City, West Java. The research questions will include (1) Why do cases of multiple positions occur? (2) What are the duties of the school principal with multiple positions? (3) What is the influence of the multi-position school principal on elementary school management? As for the data analysis used is thematic analysis. The results showed that school principals with multiple positions occurred because there was no replacement principal when the previous principal died or retired so that another principal was used as a temporary replacement. This substitute principal continues to carry out his duties as a normal principal. However, with this double burden, substitute principals experience physical and mental fatigue, thereby reducing work effectiveness, besides that there is no significant effect on school principals who hold concurrent positions on the quality of school management. With this research, it is hoped that it will be able to become a new point of view regarding school principals with multiple positions in Indonesia.
