Abstract

The determinants of student achievement in schools are widely studied, including factors at school. Research on principal leadership, teacher performance, and student success has been carried out by many other researchers with varied results. This study aims to explain these two factors on student achievement based on teacher and student assessments. The research method used is quantitative through survey techniques. Statistical analysis used is non-parametric statistic Mean-Withney test. This research compared perceptions of teachers and students, male and female, from two school institutions. The comparison results show that both teachers and students agree that the principal has an effect on student achievement (U = 364,000; p = 0.229). In addition, teachers and students agreed that teacher support affected student achievement (U = 369,000; p = 0.266). These results indicate that both students and teachers see a relationship between the leadership role of school principals and teacher performance with student success. These findings can contribute to the development of psychology and education.

Abstract

The research is motivated by the bullying problem in elementary school students. The role of PAI subject teachers in shaping and teaching students' behaviour, morals, manners, and positive attitudes has a special and different touch. With the limited methods and media used to socialize students about the prevention of bullying and the inappropriate state and condition of libraries, as well as the very limited supply of books regarding bullying, the development of the e-book Stop Bullying is presented as one solution to help PAI teachers grow knowledge and attitudes toward anti-bullying in students. The research was carried out at SDN Bekasi Jaya IV, with the research subject being class 4B. Research and Development with the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Before being tested, the e-book Stop Bullying carried out a validation assessment by media experts and original material. The level of material validity obtained a total average percentage of (85.97%) and media validity of (93.12%). The e-book Stop Bullying received a teacher response rating with a total average percentage of 87.86%. After the trial and students carried out a test in the form of a questionnaire, the average rate of total knowledge obtained was (94.93%) and entered the very good category. The results of the attitude questionnaire obtained a total average percentage of (93.97%) and were included in the positive category. The E-Book Stop Bullying product can help PAI teachers cultivate anti-bullying knowledge and attitudes in students. Keywords: Development, E-Book, Bullying, Knowledge, Attitude

Abstract

Elementary school teachers still do not fully utilize effective learning models, especially in teaching algebraic concepts. Lack of understanding of algebraic concepts has caused students to have difficulty mastering algebra, including calculation, representation, and mathematical modeling, as well as recognizing algebraic symbols and variables. The purpose of this study is to answer the research question (RQ) How does the Generative Multi Representation Learning Model Modified Schema Based Instruction (MGMRM-SBI) affect the algebraic thinking skills of elementary school students? In this study, the experimental method was used with a posttest-only control group design, where the sample was selected using Cluster Random Sampling with a total sample of 128 students. The research instrument used was an algebraic thinking ability test in the form of description test questions, and data analysis was carried out using a t-test with the help of SPSS statistical software. The results of the t-test showed a significant difference between the algebraic thinking skills of students in the experimental and control classes, with significance values (2 sides) = 0.000 < sig. = 0.05. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the application of the Generative Multi Representation Learning model Modified Schema Based Instruction has a significant effect on the algebraic thinking ability of elementary school students, and is more effective than the expository model.

Abstract

In developing the ability to count and solve formulas, learning mathematics in elementary schools also aims to advance the overall intellectual growth of students. The purpose of this article is to support educators in helping children comprehend mathematics lessons in KPK and FPB materials. in primary schools by using the Project Based Learning learning paradigm. The learning strategy that the instructor uses to convey the subject has a direct bearing on how well the students comprehend the KPK and FPB content. This study used quasi-experiments as part of its experimental design. A pretest and posttest description question is the tool utilized. 29 fourth-grade kids (N) from State Elementary School 2 Selo Boyolali served as the research subjects. The T test method was combined with the homogeneity test method and the data normalcy test for data analysis. The findings demonstrated how using the Project Based Learning methodology to teach KPK and FPB might enhance students' comprehension skills. substantiated by the experimental research 1 end findings, which had an average score of 73, 379. In contrast, with the same number of students—29—in experiment 2, the average student scored 80, 965. The T test findings showed that the project-based learning paradigm at State Elementary School 2 Selo Boyolali is improving the understanding of KPK and FPB pupils, with sig 0, 000 <0, 05 and the statements H₀ rejected and Hₐ accepted.
