Abstract

This study aims to determine the difficulties experienced by students in learning mahārah al-Qirā'ah, the factors that cause students' difficulties in learning mahārah al-Qirā'ah, and efforts to overcome students' difficulties in learning mahārah al-Qirā'ah. This research is a qualitative research with the type of case study research. The subjects of this study were 10 students of class VII special program, Arabic teacher and homeroom teacher of class VII special program. While the data collection in this study through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive qualitative analysis through data condensation techniques, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Meanwhile, the data validity technique uses triangulation techniques, namely technical triangulation and source triangulation. The results of this study indicate that the difficulties experienced by students in learning mahārah al-Qirā'ah are difficulties in reading Arabic texts, difficulties in mastering Arabic vocabulary, and difficulties in translating Arabic texts. The factors that cause students to have difficulty learning mahārah al-Qirā'ah include 1) internal factors, namely the low interest and motivation in student learning, student learning attitudes that are not orderly and disciplined, and the background of students coming from public elementary schools. And 2) external factors, namely the lack of support from the family, the teacher's learning method is not right, the community environment is not supportive, the learning media is not appropriate, the learning curriculum is not right, and the lack of allocation of learning time.

Abstract

This study determines the management of teaching arabic language with direct method, this study uses qualitative descriptive with analysis method’s huberman and miles which is data display, data analysis, data reduction and conclusion. This study answering the question, those are; 1) How management of the arabic language learning program using the direct method (direct method) at the pondok tahfidz putri daarul mubarak curup (dmc)? 2) What are the supporting factors and inhibiting factors in the management of the Arabic language learning program using the direct method at the Pondok Tahfidz Putri Daarul Mubarak Curup (DMC)?. The results of this study include several things; 1) The implemented management of the arabic language learning program using the direct method (direct method) at the pondok tahfidz putri daarul mubarak curup (dmc) based on 4 management functions namely; a. Planning function: In planning Arabic learning the teacher prepares a Lesson Plan (RPP) which includes equipment or auxiliary media to facilitate the Arabic learning process, while also preparing a number of questions about material that has previously been taught to recall the lessons that have been taught, this can also improve students' cognitive abilities with the drill method used by the teacher when asking indirectly questions that are routinely given and continuously related to the lessons that have been taught, b. Organizing function: In the process of organizing learning the Arabic teacher at the tahfidz Putri Daarul Mubarok Curup Islamic boarding school organizes learning by managing the time when teaching, inviting students to ask questions, conducting questions and answers, determining activities and materials, paying attention to start and finish times of learning, the process of organizing learning These are arranged systematically to make it easier for teachers to carry out learning activities. c. Implementation function: The Arabic teacher at Pondok Tahfidz Putri Daarul Mubarok Curup carries out the function of implementing Arabic learning with the following stages: 1. Pre-instructional stage; The teacher greets the students by saying "Assalamu'alaikum", followed by greetings in Arabic in the form of: كَيْفَ حَالُكُم؟، نَهَارُكُمْ سَعِيْدَة؟،صَبَاحُ الخَيْر؟, then the teacher asks about the previous lesson (الدُّرُوسُ السَّابِقَةُ ؟); The teacher prepares the material carefully, looks for a method that fits the material to be delivered to students, prepares questions for each material, explains the learning objectives, writes the subject matter on the blackboard, 3. Evaluation and follow-up stage; evaluate by giving practice questions in the book as formative tests, as well as conducting daily exams and conducting summative tests which are carried out at the end of the semester. d. Supervision function: In supervising the school principal towards teachers, especially teachers in learning Arabic at the Daarul Mubarok Curup daughter's tahfidz boarding school, the school principal supervises by collecting the necessary data from planning, implementation and evaluation of learning Arabic. These data were collected and evaluated as a whole and given follow-up on the evaluation. This was done by the school principal as a form of supervision of learning Arabic and improving the quality of learning carried out by Arabic teachers.2) Supporting factors and inhibiting factors in the management of the Arabic language learning program using the direct method (Direct Method) at the Tahfidz Putri Daarul Mubarak Curup (DMC) were found including: A) Supporting factors; 1. From the student side. Enthusiasm of students is quite high in learning Arabic with the direct method, 2. In terms of student learning methods. The learning method used in learning Arabic at Pondok Tahfidz Putri Daarul Mubarok Curup Putri makes it easy for students to understand and master lessons, 3. From the side of the teacher/teaching staff. The ustadzah who teaches at Daarul Mubarok Curup Putri Tahfidz Putri Islamic Boarding School is an alumnus of the Gontor Islamic Boarding School, and the others are graduates of Islamic boarding schools who are very closely related to Arabic, 4. From an environmental standpoint. The bi'ah lughawiyah system (creating an environment with Arabic nuances) implemented at the Tahfidz Putri Daarul Mubarok Curup boarding school system. B) Inhibiting factors; The inhibiting factor experienced by the Arabic language teacher at Putri Daarul Mubarok Curup's tahfidz boarding school is that the lessons that have been taught are often forgotten by female students so that the teacher must continue to repeat previous lessons in a concise and clear manner for efficiency in teaching time.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Pesantren Curriculum h on improving arabic learning outcomes in Madrasas during the Covid-19 Pandemic. The majority of students in madrasas are santri in several pesantrens. Where the Pesantren provides comprehensive Arabic language learning and religious knowledge. So this research was conducted to determine the effect of Pesantren curriculum on improving Arabic learning outcomes for students in madrasas. This research is a research with quantitative methods. And the data collection instruments in this research used questionnaires and documents. Questionnaires were given to twenty one respondents who were madrasa students as well as pesantren students. Where the results of this questionnaire are used as independent variables. And the documents used in this study are documents of arabic learning outcomes, including knowledge values and skills values. Where the increase in these two values will be used as the dependent variable. Then the statistical calculation used is simple linear regression analysis using the help of the IBM SPSS Statistics 25 application. Based on the results of the analysis in this study, it shows that the pesantren curriculum has no effect on increasing student arabic learning outcomes in madrasas. This is caused by several factors that influence either coming from pesantren or madrasas.

Abstract

Learning media is an important component in the learning process. The use of learning media must be adapted to the conditions of students and the times. Sometimes a class requires digital learning media that can be displayed on a computer and printable learning media because students are not allowed to use gadgets in class. Therefore, this study aims to produce Arabic learning media in the form of animated videos and crossword puzzle. It is development research based on IDI model. This study used a validity test questionnaire as the research instrument. The results of the study showed that the feasibility of content and the presentation of the video animation learning media is categorized as very good. In addition, crossword puzzles learning media is classified as very good. Based on these results, it can be concluded that Arabic language learning media in the form of animated videos and crossword puzzles are suitable for use as Arabic learning media in accordance with the validator's considerations.

Abstract

The mastery of  mufradat is one of the most important elements in Arabic language learning. However, the process of mufradat learning is often boring for students because it tends to be theoretical and requires them to memorize without practical application. The study aims to test the effectiveness of using wordwall media, a game-based application that can be accessed through a website. The research use a quantitative method with pre-experimental design, one group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of a class of the 8th grade MTsN 2 Magetan. Data is collected through a questionnaire and analyzed by using a paired sample t test. The results of the study showed that the use of wordwall media significantly increased student’s interest in learning with a t test score below 0.05, which is 0.020. The average pre-test score was 63.96, while the average posttest score rose to 66.86. The use of wordwall as a mufradat learning evaluation medium has proven to be effective in increasing student learning interests and shows that technology-based learning media can be an interesting and effective alternative in the Arabic language learning process. It also enriches the reference of technology based learning media in the world of education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and explain how the Balāghah Science learning system and process takes place, and what problems are faced by students in learning Balāghah Science, as well as what efforts are made to overcome the problems in learning Balāghah Science in Class XI of MA Al-Mu'minien. This study uses a qualitative approach with the type of research in the form of field research, or what is often known as "Field Research". The subjects in this study were students of class XI of MA Al-Mu'minien, Balāghah Science teachers, and the head of the Madrasah. Data collection in this study used observation, interview, and documentation methods. The results of this study are: 1)The Balāghah Science learning system in class XI MA Al-Mu'minien contains interrelated components. 2) The Balāghah Science learning process in class XI MA Al-Mu'minien uses lecture and question and answer methods. 3)The problems found in class XI MA Al-Mu'minien reviewed from the Balāghah Science learning process are linguistic problems and non-linguistic problems. 4)Efforts to overcome learning problems reviewed from the learning process are providing new vocabulary and synonyms, adding guidance, strengthening motivation, changing learning strategies, time discipline, adding special hours, reducing noise, adding facilities.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the lack of innovation in media used by teachers in delivering Arabic language material, the use of school facilities such as laptops and projectors that have not been utilized optimally in learning, and the low value of Arabic language learning outcomes. . This study aims to (1) determine the process of developing Quizizz as a learning medium for Arabic for Class IV MI Darul Falah Salamkanci in the 2022/2023 academic year and (2) determine the quality of Quizizz as a learning medium for Arabic for Class IV MI Darul Falah Salamkanci in the 2022/2023 academic year based on assessments from media experts, material experts, and student responses. This research is development research, or research and development (R&D), using a 3D development model, namely, define, design, and develop. The subjects of this study include one media expert, one material expert, and twenty-six students of class IV MI Darul Falah Salamkanci. The object of this research is a learning application. The instruments used to assess the quality of the application include a questionnaire for assessing media experts, material experts, and student response questionnaires. The results of this study are (1) the development of Quizizz as a learning medium for Arabic for class IV MI Darul Falah Salamkanci, and (2) the quality of Quizizz as a learning medium for Arabic for class IV MI Darul Falah is included in the category of "Very Good" with an ideal percentage of 89.3% based on the assessment of media experts and an ideal percentage of 86% based on the assessment of material experts, as well as the results of student responses from 26 students with an ideal percentage of 92%.

Abstract

This study investigates the Nahwu (Arabic grammar) learning process at MTs Terpadu Muwahidun, where the Lamḥatun Naẓar book is used, in contrast to the more commonly used books like Jurumiyyah and Alfiyah. The research aims to explain the teaching process and assess the effectiveness of this book for eighth-grade students. Data were collected from 47 female students using observation, interviews, tests, and documentation and analyzed using a T-test. The findings show that Nahwu learning begins with planning, including setting goals for students to understand Arabic texts, and involves methods such as lectures, Q&A, and assignments. The study found that the use of Lamḥatun Naẓar significantly improved students' understanding, with pretest and posttest results showing a notable increase in scores from 54.72 to 71.89, with a significance value of 0.000, confirming the book's effectiveness in the classroom.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation process as well as the advantages and disadvantages of activity-based Arabic learning strategies in mastering mufradāt in class VII MTsN 1 Yogyakarta. This research is a field research conducted at MTsN 1 Yogyakarta with data collection methods through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques, and data validation was carried out through triangulation of sources and methods. The results showed that the implementation process of this strategy consisted of planning and implementation stages, which included introduction, core activities, and closing. Core activities include listening and imitating, rereading vocabulary, and singing together. The advantages of this strategy are the balance between students' physical, mental, emotional, and intellectual activities, learning becomes more fun, interactive, and effective, and makes it easier for students to understand the material. This strategy also changes the negative view of Arabic lessons. However, the disadvantages include limited learning media, school facilities that are not yet optimal, the absence of an Arabic language laboratory, an Arabic-speaking environment that has not been formed, and some students who are still passive and shy to participate.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low reading and writing skills of students in Arabic language learning. The lack of engaging methods and creative media causes students to lose interest, resulting in poor comprehension of the material. This study aims to examine the implementation of the qirā'ah and imlā' methods to improve Arabic reading and writing skills among fifth-grade students at MI Salafiyah Kasim. The methods used are qirā'ah jahriyah (loud reading) and imlā' manqūl (copied dictation). This is a qualitative descriptive field research conducted at MI Salafiyah Kasim using purposive sampling for data collection. Data analysis includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing.The results show that in the qirā'ah jahriyah method, the teacher reads aloud and students imitate, followed by selected students reading aloud in front of the class. In the imlā' manqūl method, the teacher writes vocabulary on the board, students copy it into their notebooks, then read it aloud again.Several challenges were found in the implementation process, including difficulty in managing students during lessons, lack of attention from teachers and parents at home, peer influence from more advanced students, and students’ low self-confidence in learning Arabic.
