Abstract

Adolescence is a transitional period characterized by physical, psychological, and biological changes, including menstruation, which may be accompanied by dysmenorrhea, a condition that causes abdominal pain and can affect daily activities. Knowledge about dysmenorrhea management among adolescent girls is often inadequate, especially in Islamic boarding schools. due to limited access to quality healthcare services, such as medical examinations, appropriate treatment, and timely care. This community service program aimed to enhance adolescent girls' knowledge of dysmenorrhea management and improve their quality of life by reducing the impact of menstrual pain. The program was conducted at Rofiatul Islam Islamic Boarding School in Sentong Village, Krejengan District. Activities included pre-test and post-test questionnaires, distribution of educational leaflets, and counseling sessions focusing on the causes of dysmenorrhea, risk factors, and management techniques. Data analysis was performed by comparing pre-test and post-test results to evaluate the improvement in participants' knowledge. A total of thirty participants took part in this program. The pre-test results showed that 73% of participants had good knowledge, while 27% had moderate knowledge. After the education and counseling sessions, the post-test results indicated an improvement, with 93% of participants demonstrating good knowledge and 7% showing moderate knowledge, signifying a significant increase in understanding. This program successfully enhanced participants' comprehension of dysmenorrhea and its management. Further education on this topic is recommended to increase awareness and encourage its practical application in daily life.

Abstract

Anemia is a common global health problem, especially among adolescent girls, with a higher prevalence in Indonesia. Anemia will cause a decrease in the blood's ability to bind and transport oxygen from the lungs to the rest of the body. This process occurs very quickly, so it requires high energy and protein. This requires adolescents to be able to fulfill their food needs with adequate nutritional substances. The aim of this Community Partnership Program is for young women to receive proper education about early detection of anemia, especially in adolescence. The method used is to collaborate with the SMAU Haf-Sha Zaha provides education regarding early detection of anemia in adolescent girls. The success of this program was evaluated based on increased awareness and improved practices of early anemia detection among adolescent girls, as assessed through pre-test and post-test measurements. This activity has run smoothly so that it has received good benefits starting from increasing enthusiasm for young women in practicing early detection of anemia. Many young women at SMAU Haf-Sha Zaha have received information and support from teachers and families to carry out early detection of anemia in young women independently. Young women receive education about the prevention and appropriate treatment of anemia. Anemia will cause a decrease in the blood's ability to bind and transport oxygen from the lungs to the rest of the body. If the oxygen needed is not enough, it will result in difficulty concentrating so that learning achievement decreases.

Abstract

Education regarding DAGUSIBU and how to destroy drugs at SMA Unggulan BPPT Zainul Hasan Genggong. Indonesian people are now getting used to the use of various types of medicines. Among teenagers, most of them consume drugs without knowing how to use and handle drugs properly and correctly, such as how to get drugs, use drugs, store drugs and dispose of drugs. The aim of DAGUSIBU drug education is one of the efforts that can be made as a pharmaceutical worker to prevent irrational use of drugs and ensure that there is no protection of drugs by the public. The method used, namely collaborating with SMA Unggulan BPPT Zainul Hasan Genggong to provide education in the form of interactive seminars with a visual approach, so that students are explained about obtaining, using, storing and disposing of medicines. The indicator of success of this activity is increasing the knowledge of BPPT Zainul Hasan Genggong High School students about obtaining, using, storing and disposing of medicines. Apart from that, students are expected to become agents of change in their families and surrounding communities by spreading the knowledge they have acquired.

Abstract

Pharmaceutical preparations, such as medicines, traditional remedies, and cosmetics, play a vital role in maintaining health. However, many adolescents engage in self-medication without adequate knowledge, including recognizing logos and the forms of medicines on packaging. This lack of literacy increases the risk of incorrect drug use and harmful side effects. Studies indicate that most adolescents rely on information from advertisements or peers and frequently purchase medications without a doctor's prescription, which can jeopardize their health. Education on drug logos and forms is crucial, especially for high school students, to promote rational and responsible drug use. This program aims to enhance students' literacy regarding drug types, how to read information on packaging, and the importance of recognizing visual differences between drugs. The education was conducted through an interactive seminar at SMAU Haf-Sa Zainul Hasan BPPT using a visual approach, introducing various drug forms and logos, as well as how to review information on drug packaging. The results showed a significant improvement in students' understanding. Before the education, only 50% of the students were knowledgeable about drug logos and forms. After the program, 100% of the students demonstrated comprehension, as evidenced by the post-test results. This program successfully highlighted the importance of health education in fostering rational understanding of drug use. Additionally, students are expected to become agents of change by disseminating this knowledge to their families and communities.

Abstract

TOEFL test-takers with limited grammar (structure) proficiency tend to achieve lower scores. To enhance structure skills, continuous and intensive learning and practice are required. However, many test-takers experience difficulties and boredom when studying structure due to its perceived complexity and lack of engagement. Therefore, an interactive and effective learning medium is needed to facilitate easier and more enjoyable grammar acquisition. The TOEFL Test Pro (Android-Based Application) serves as a potential solution to improve the grammar proficiency of students at Universitas Hafshawaty Zainul Hasan. This community engagement program was implemented in three phases: preparation, execution, and evaluation. The program involved 47 first-year students from Universitas Hafshawaty and was conducted at the university’s premises in Pajarakan, Probolinggo. Evaluation results indicate that after the training, students demonstrated greater enthusiasm in learning and answering TOEFL questions, particularly in the structure or grammar section. The accessibility and interactive features of the TOEFL Test Pro application played a key role in increasing students' learning motivation. Additionally, the question explanation feature helped students identify and understand their mistakes, significantly improving their grammar comprehension. The daily reminder feature further encouraged students to consistently access the application and engage in intensive TOEFL practice, ultimately leading to a projected gradual improvement in their scores.

Abstract

Betao Village in Sidrap Regency is a key lime farming center facing challenges related to price fluctuations and the low market value of raw limes. To address this issue, the LemooGi’ product innovation program was introduced as a solution to process limes into ready-to-consume lime juice. This initiative involved academics from STIP Yapi Bone and Universitas Muhammadiyah Parepare, in collaboration with the Mekar Tani II Farmers Group as the primary partner. The implementation method included raw material preparation, hygienic production processes, sterilization, and product packaging. The program results indicate that LemooGi’ has a higher market value compared to fresh limes and contributes to increasing local farmers’ income through micro-enterprise development based on local commodities. Active participation from farmers and students in this program highlights the significant potential for further development. This innovation is expected to enhance farmers' economic well-being and expand the market for processed lime-based products.

Abstract

Dusun Duri-Duri in Buntu Batuan Village, Enrekang Regency, faces economic challenges due to the instability of agricultural market prices. One proposed solution is the development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) based on local agricultural products. This program aims to process breadfruit into a high-value product called Sukuri Chips. The implementation method includes observation, production training, marketing strategies, and sustainability evaluation. The results of this program indicate an increase in community skills in breadfruit processing, heightened awareness of product innovation, and opportunities for income growth through product marketing. The sustainability of this program requires further assistance and support from the government and relevant stakeholders to strengthen agriculture-based MSMEs in the region.

Abstract

Bedak Nampu is a traditional skincare product made from natural ingredients such as rice, turmeric, and temulawak, which has been used for generations by the community in Salomallori Village, Dua Pitue District, Sidrap Regency. Despite its beneficial effects on skin health, its utilization remains limited to small-scale production using traditional methods that are less efficient. The community service program through the Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) Posko 23 aims to enhance the quality and competitiveness of Bedak Nampu by implementing production innovations, standardizing ingredients, and adopting digital marketing strategies. The methods applied include observation, training, innovation implementation, packaging design, as well as evaluation and monitoring. The results indicate improvements in production efficiency, product quality enhancement, and increased market competitiveness through modern packaging and digital marketing. With the applied innovations, Bedak Nampu has the potential to develop into a leading MSME product that not only preserves cultural values but also enhances the economic well-being of the local community.

Abstract

This community engagement initiative aims to equip students at SMA Unggulan Hafsha Zainul Hasan with insights and practical understanding of digital marketing and e-commerce. The training curriculum encompasses establishing online storefronts, and implementing a dropshipping business model for online business management. Upon completion, participants are expected to generate income with minimal capital expenditure by leveraging their mobile devices, thereby potentially contributing to local economic empowerment. The methodology employed comprises three key phases: preparation, implementation, and interactive discussion with a question-and-answer session. The preparation phase involves the community service team's formulation of an execution plan and the procurement of necessary training resources. The implementation phase delivers foundational knowledge in digital marketing principles and the practical application of e-commerce platforms. Participants receive hands-on training in creating visually engaging marketing materials using Canva and in developing product marketing strategies. Furthermore, they receive direct guidance in setting up online stores and understanding the operational mechanics of a dropshipping business. The discussion and Q&A session provides a platform for participants to seek clarification on the presented material. The community service team also conducts formative assessments through questioning to evaluate participant comprehension. Post-activity evaluation indicates that 35 participants demonstrated a keen interest in pursuing online entrepreneurship through the dropshipping model, recognizing its potential for profitability, while 5 participants expressed less interest.

Abstract

The “Setetes Madu” group is a group of farmers/livestock breeders located in Camplong II Village, Fatuleu District, Kupang Regency, which is engaged in the field of cattle fattening/paron. The fattening efforts carried out by this group of farmers/livestock breeders have shown significant improvement. However, there is one main problem faced by the target farmer/livestock breeder group, namely the lack of understanding of the intensive, continuous and integrated agricultural land management system between agriculture, forestry and livestock so that it has sustainable results throughout the year. The purpose of the activity is to implement a land management system by combining agricultural components or activities with forestry and livestock components on a land so that it can overcome the problem of land and animal feed availability, increase land productivity, especially on marginal land. The methods used are in the form of counseling and direct practice in the field. Counseling related to the understanding and benefits of applying the Agrosilvopasture method to a land, the economic value and soil conservation value obtained from the application of the agrosilvopasture method. Direct field practice in the form of making agrosilvopasture demonstration plots and making organic fertilizers. The results of the activity are in the form of increasing the knowledge of group members regarding agro-silvopasture, understanding and being able to make bokashi organic fertilizer by utilizing agricultural and livestock waste, increasing the economic value and income of the community from the sale of agricultural crops planted and increasing land productivity.
