Abstract

One of the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic in education is the adaptation of children in the transition period to enter first grade elementary school, because the transition from kindergarten to first grade elementary school is a major change in children's daily routine life. One of the supporting factors in the success of children's school adaptation is the relationship between parents and children and the relationship between parents and schools. The purpose of this study was to explore parents' perspectives on the adaptation of first grade students during the transition from kindergarten to first grade. This study used qualitative research methods, with phenomenological design. The study conducted interviews with 3 parents who had children in first grade of elementary school. Analysis uses interviews and documentation to analyze research findings. The results showed that the topics identified to parents of first grade elementary school children were efforts made by parents to prepare children to enter first grade elementary school after the COVID-19 pandemic; adaptation indicators considered by the child's parents at the beginning of the first year of primary school; and the relationship between teachers and parents in the adaptation process of first grade elementary school children.

Based on the results of identification in the field that the use of assessments, assessment implementation and assessment reporting that are widely used by teachers in early childhood learning are technical assessments of checklists, portfolios, and anecdotal notes. The use of daily journal assessments (narratives/diaries) is still not used by teachers as information on children's development while at school to parents. It is recommended for subsequent researchers to look for relationships in teachers' understanding of daily journal assessments and their application in the field. Keywords: Assessment, Daily Journal, Authentic, Learning, Early Childhood Daily journal assessment is a type of narrative, flexible assessment sourced from authentic data on the real development of children that appears during learning and play activities. Abstract

Digital media are now a part of everyday life thanks to the digital revolution. The use of various digital media in early life is expanding in our increasingly digital culture. Early exposure to digital media is seen to be hazardous and requires rigorous parental regulation and supervision. This study examines parental mediation in young children's use of digital media. Researchers examined domestic parental mediation strategies using the literature review methodology. The findings indicated that there are several forms of parental mediation, including co-viewing, active mediation, and restrictive mediation. According to research, a number of variables, including parents' education level, parent-child relationships, ages, socioeconomic status, digital media competence, and parental attitudes of digital media, affect the kind of mediation that parents use.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of implementing digital-based portfolio assessment for Early Childhood Education (PAUD) teachers in Kramatwatu District, Serang Regency in improving the learning and assessment process in the PAUD environment. This study used a pre-experimental design , namely by using a one group pretest-posttest type design involving 100 PAUD teachers in Kramatwatu District, Serang Regency. The instrument used in this research uses a questionnaire. The analysis technique performed is using statistical data analysis techniques. This data analysis is used to analyze quantitative data in the form of student learning outcomes which are processed using the T-test through a statistical application, namely SPSS 21 for windows . The steps taken in the use of data processing statistics are (a) normality test; (b) homogeneity test; (c) The T-Test test used is the Paired Sample t test . The results showed that the value of Sig. (2-tailed) is 0.000 <0.05, then H 0 is rejected and H 1 is accepted. So it can be concluded that there is an average difference between the results of the Pre Test and Post Test , which means there is no effect of using digital-based PAUD teacher portfolio assessment.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the lack of teacher creativity in making APE , as well as the limited knowledge of East Cikarang IGRA teachers about Educational Aids (APE). APE as a learning medium is generally a separate obstacle for an institution, especially teachers. The obstacle in this case is related to the availability and very limited variety of APE in institutions. As well as the limited ability of teachers to do design and creativity. Therefore, training on making APE, namely smart trees, was held to increase teacher creativity in teaching IGRA teachers in East Cikarang District, Bekasi Regency, which was held at RA Senyum Muslim. This study aims to find out whether the use of educational aids can increase teacher creativity in the framework of leading to quality PAUD. This training is carried out for one full day, namely from 08.00 WIB to 16.00 WIB, on March 11, 2023. The method used in this research is qualitative approach with descriptive method. This study further concludes that the use of educational aids can increase teacher creativity in the framework of leading to quality PAUD.

Abstract

In efforts to enhance the Pancasila student profile in pupils, teachers play a crucial role. The success of the autonomous curriculum's implementation will be measured by the teacher's capacity to manage the curriculum. The Proyek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) implementation of teachers' readiness to use genuine assessments is discussed in this article. The issues faced by kindergarten instructors in the target region 1 IGTKI Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, served as the basis for the research. It was shown that teachers encounter a variety of issues when using authentic assessments, including: (1) the assumption that authentic assessments are too complicated in terms of data collection (2) understanding of the assessment techniques and instruments used in the Pancasila Student Profile Project; (3) there is no training and guidance specifically conducted for making authentic assessment plans. Methods of qualitative research were applied in this study. The study's findings demonstrate that teachers theoretically have a sufficient understanding of authentic evaluations. However, in order to become more proficient and simple to implement, the teacher still needs to learn a lot. Therefore, it might be claimed that the instructor is not prepared to use real assessment. According to the study's findings, instructors' abilities to use diverse techniques for evaluation are enhanced through workshop activities and continued support

Abstract

Currently, learning in early childhood is still dominated by teacher-centred learning, especially with the use of package books, student worksheets and magazines that homogenise children's activities in the classroom. This is also reinforced by the results of research on kindergarten teachers in Pesanggrahan District, South Jakarta, as many as 72.7% have not implemented differentiated learning. Differentiated learning includes approaches that are tailored to individual needs and abilities, so as to cater for the diversity of children in the classroom. In this context, teachers can provide different activities to each child, based on their interests, talents and developmental level. Thus, children can develop their imagination, problem-solving and critical thinking skills through fun and challenging learning. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method in which researchers conduct research on an object with natural or real conditions to create a systematic overview or detailed description that is factual and accurate. The implementation of differentiated learning encourages children to be more creative in expressing their ideas. Through this approach, children are given the opportunity to develop divergent thinking skills, be creative and innovate. Teachers can also provide developmentally appropriate challenges, activities that encourage children to think 'out of the box' and find unique solutions. In this learning process, children will feel more motivated and feel they have an active role in achieving learning goals. The results show that teachers who were trained in theory and practice can implement differentiated learning in their classrooms and show changes in children's abilities to be more critical, able to solve problems, convey ideas and be able to work together with their friends.
