Abstract

The education service system which requires that all children with special needs be served at the nearest Early Childhood Education (PAUD) institutions, in regular classes together with normal children of the same age is called inclusive education. Most people still view children with special needs as a disgrace and even become something that is frightening and embarrassing for some parents who have these children. They do not yet realize that these children are children who have potential that is immeasurable and resides in every child. The implementation of the inclusive school program in PAUD is currently still not optimal, this is due to the lack of readiness of schools to implement an inclusion system. One of them is the management or arrangement of classes in inclusive schools that have not fully accommodated the needs of children, especially children with special needs. For this reason, this study aims to determine classroom management in Cahaya Kautsar Islamic Inclusion Kindergarten, East Jakarta. The research was conducted in April 2023 using a qualitative descriptive method using data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the management of the inclusive class was carried out every day according to the distribution. Suppose there is a change situation or class division outside of what has been scheduled. In that case, it can be adequately resolved because communication and coordination between class teachers, accompanying teachers, and therapists are going well.

Abstract

Stunting is one of the growth problems that occur in children due to chronic malnutrition in the long term which will have an impact on inhibiting children's brain development including language skills. Children who are stunted can be seen from slow and short skeletal growth. According to data from the Indonesian Ministry of Health, the incidence of stunting in Jambi Province in 2018 was recorded at 30.2%. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of stunting on early childhood language skills in Limbur Lubuk Menguang District, Bungo Regency, Jambi Province. This type of research is a descriptive survey. The sample in this study was 107 children aged 3-5 years. The independent variable in this study is the incidence of stunting. The dependent variable is language progression. Data collection tools using observation sheets and KPSP (Pre-Screening Developmental Questionnaire). Research statistical tests use test-sign because the data is not homogeneous so that data analysis uses non-parametric statistics. The results showed a htest (0) < htable (2,7) with significance analysis (α) 0,05,  which concluded that the incidence of stunting affects the language development of children aged 3-5 years in Bungo district, Jambi Province. It is hoped that with this research, educators and parents can fulfill nutrition and apply parenting, so that lifestyle can minimize the risk of children suffering from stunting.

Abstract

Abstract Picture story-based Wordwall assessment is an assessment method that utilizes the Wordwall digital platform to measure students' understanding and engagement with series of picture stories. Serial picture stories are used as an interactive learning medium, and through this assessment, the main goal is to evaluate the extent to which students can understand the content of the story, identify relationships between parts of the story, and respond appropriately to the questions or tasks asked. This research aims to validate the assessment instrument developed using the Wordwall platform based on a series of illustrated stories. This instrument is designed to measure students' ability to understand and interact with learning material through the use of serial picture stories in an educational environment. The research method uses a quantitative and qualitative approach involving student participation as test subjects. Validation is carried out through content analysis, internal consistency analysis, as well as validity and reliability tests. The research results show that the assessment instrument developed through the Wordwall platform has good validity. The validation process involved content analysis and empirical trials with student participation, which consistently showed that this instrument was able to accurately measure students' understanding and interaction with serial illustrated stories. In addition, the level of reliability of the instrument that consistently measures the abilities being measured provides confidence that the assessment results can be reliable and consistent in describing students' abilities.
