Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of variations in banana corm and banana fronds on the odor and physical properties of solid organic fertilizer made from household waste. In addition, the research also aims to identify the differences in odor and physical characteristics between solid organic fertilizer based on EM4 and that based on banana corm and fronds. The method used is an experimental approach to test the effectiveness of organic fertilizers produced from different raw materials: banana corm, banana frond, rice-washing water, and household waste (predominantly rotten tape). The first treatment used a mixture of banana corm, banana fronds, rice-washing water, and household waste in a 1:1:1:1 ratio. The second treatment consisted of banana fronds, rice-washing water, and household waste in a 1:1:1 ratio. The third treatment included banana corm, rice-washing water, and household waste, also in a 1:1:1 ratio. The fourth treatment used EM4, rice-washing water, and household waste in a ½:1:1 ratio. The results showed that on the first day, all treatments emitted a strong odor of tape and household waste. Over time, an acidic smell began to emerge, eventually turning into a fresh, earthy scent, particularly in treatments with banana corm and EM4. The color of the fertilizer changed from dark brown to blackish brown, indicating successful decomposition. The texture also changed from coarse to more crumbly and homogeneous. The treatment with EM4 showed faster fermentation and a more stable odor compared to the other treatments.

Abstract

The implementation of digital health policy in Indonesia has encountered various challenges related to both infrastructure and human resources. This literature review aimed to map gaps in digital health infrastructure and workforce capacity across urban, rural, and remote healthcare settings by systematically analyzing relevant national and international studies. Sources included peer-reviewed articles, scoping reviews, and preprints that examined electronic medical records, telemedicine, and other digital health interventions in various geographic and organizational contexts. The analysis revealed that urban areas generally have more advanced digital infrastructure, including integrated health information systems and electronic record platforms, whereas rural and remote regions face limited internet connectivity, insufficient hardware, and low digital literacy among healthcare personnel. Human resource gaps were also observed, including inadequate technical competencies, uneven distribution of staff, and organizational cultures that are not fully prepared to adopt digital health technologies. These disparities highlight the critical need for context-sensitive strategies, such as hybrid solutions combining cloud-based systems in urban centers with offline-capable platforms in low-connectivity regions, comprehensive training programs for healthcare staff, and supportive policies at both local and national levels. By synthesizing the current evidence on infrastructure and human resource gaps, this review provides a comprehensive overview that can guide policymakers, healthcare managers, and researchers in designing targeted interventions, prioritizing resource allocation, and promoting equitable adoption of digital health solutions across Indonesia.

Abstract

This study looks at how profitability functions as a moderator in the relationship between firm value and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in mining businesses listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) between 2020 and 2024. Based on the theories of Stakeholder, Signaling, and Slack Resources, the study used a quantitative causal–associative approach using panel data from eight mining companies that regularly released sustainability and annual reports that adhered to Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) guidelines. Profitability is determined by Return on Assets (ROA), CSR by the CSR Disclosure Index, and firm value by Tobin's Q. To analyze the data, moderated regression analysis (MRA) was used. The findings show that firm value is not significantly impacted by CSR, and that the link between CSR and firm value is not moderated by profitability, which neither directly affects nor directly influences firm value. These results imply that profitability and corporate social responsibility (CSR) policies alone are not enough to determine firm value in the context of Indonesian mining businesses. Theoretically, the study challenges the assumption that CSR and profitability are always value-enhancing, while practically it implies that managers and regulators must reconfigure CSR into integrated business strategies that generate measurable social and economic impact.

Abstract

Hospital X as one of the referral health facilities in the Cimahi area and its surroundings faces significant challenges in health claims management. This semi-digital process can result in significant financial losses and high operational costs. This research aims to build an application for the health claim verification process with the results of analysis at X Hospital. Developed a web-based health claims verification application with Agile methods that integrates ICD-10 standards and artificial intelligence (AI) to automate document checks, reduce human error, and speed up the verification process. The research uses agile methods with system development through Scrum. Key frameworks include Flask-Python (backend), Bootstrap 5 (frontend), and SQLite/PostgreSQL (database). Data is collected through interviews with medical staff and observation of existing verification processes. Implementation during 4 sprints resulted in a reduction in verification time from 3-5 days to <24 hours. The claim reduction is rejected from 8% to 2.5% through automatic validation. Multi-role system with 4 separate dashboards (admin, medical staff, verifier, participant). Pre-screening AI integration detects 92% of nominal anomalies of claims. This app is proven to improve verification accuracy and faster time efficiency. The success of the implementation of Agile is demonstrated by the ability to adapt to 12 changes in the requirements of the development time.

Abstract

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) contain seventeen goals that must be achieved by all United Nations (UN) member states by 2030. The goals to be achieved in order to realize sustainable development also include the marine and fisheries sector. Fisheries management policies of countries should be made by taking into account the SDGs in the marine and fisheries sector so that their implementation can encourage the realization of sustainable development. There are two problems studied in this paper, First, the background or philosophical basis for the preparation of the SDGs by states. Second, how the direction of sustainable fisheries management policies by states is based on the SDGs. This study uses a normative research method with an explanation and descriptive method. This study found that considering the content of the SDGs, states seek to advance several elements at once in achieving sustainable development. The elements are people, planet, prosperity, peace, and cooperation. State policies on sustainable fisheries management should consider the goals in the SDGs that have been adopted, especially Goals 1,2,6,12,13, and 14. Such policies are in line with international law and will be able to contribute to the fulfillment of the 17 Goals of the SDGs.

Abstract

Indonesia faces a persistently high prevalence of smoking, particularly among adolescents, necessitating innovative communication strategies to promote tobacco control. This study aims to analyze the strategy and impact of the Makassar Health Department’s collaboration with local influencers in disseminating anti-smoking educational videos on Instagram. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with program managers at the Makassar Health Department and observation of seven uploaded videos. Engagement Rate (ER) was calculated based on likes, comments, and shares to assess audience interaction. Results indicate that Instagram serves as an effective medium for health behavior change communication, reaching younger demographics through culturally resonant and emotionally engaging content. The collaboration with local influencers enhanced message relatability and expanded audience reach beyond official government channels. The highest ER was achieved by influencer Uyha Yasashaky with 296%, suggesting exceptionally high engagement and viral diffusion. The findings reveal that this partnership exemplifies the two-step flow of communication model, where trusted public figures act as intermediaries between health authorities and the public. Moreover, institutional leadership and resource support from the Makassar Health Department ensured message consistency and alignment with broader public health objectives. In conclusion, the strategic use of local influencers on social media proved to be a highly effective approach for amplifying tobacco control messages, increasing public engagement, and reinforcing healthy behavioral norms within the sociocultural context of Makassar.

Abstract

Environmental health issues remain a major public health concern in rural Indonesia, where inadequate sanitation and waste management contribute to the persistence of preventable diseases. Community engagement in environmental health education is widely recognized as a key factor in enhancing program outcomes. This study aimed to assess the link between community engagement in environmental health education and the effectiveness of environmental health programs in rural Indonesia. A quantitative cross-sectional design was employed involving 467 respondents aged 17–74 years, with educational backgrounds ranging from no formal education to postgraduate levels. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and analyzed through Chi-Square and correlation tests. The findings revealed a statistically significant association between participation in environmental health education and program effectiveness (p = 0.000). The correlation coefficient (r = 0.445) indicated a positive and moderately strong relationship, suggesting that higher levels of engagement were associated with improved environmental cleanliness and health behaviors. These results underscore that participatory education fosters knowledge acquisition, behavioral change, and collective responsibility among community members. Strengthening participatory approaches through collaboration between local health authorities, educators, and residents is recommended to achieve sustainable improvements in environmental health and community well-being

Abstract

Mobile banking has become one of the most transformative innovations in the financial technology landscape, yet sustaining users' continuance intention remains a major challenge for digital banking providers. This study aims to analyze the influence of perceived enjoyment and behavioural control on users' continuance intention to use BRImo, a leading mobile banking application in Indonesia. Employing a quantitative explanatory design, data were collected from 100 BRImo users in Samarinda using a structured Likert-scale questionnaire distributed both offline and online. The instrument passed validity and reliability testing, and data were analyzed using multiple linear regression, accompanied by t-tests, F-tests, and R² evaluation. The findings indicate that both perceived enjoyment and behavioural control exert a positive and significant effect on continuance intention (β = 0.346; p = 0.002 and β = 0.404; p = 0.000, respectively). The simultaneous influence of the two variables was confirmed through the F-test (F = 76.190; p < 0.001). The model demonstrates strong explanatory power, with an R² value of 0.603, indicating that the two predictors explain 60.3% of users' continuance intention, while the remaining 39.7% may be attributed to variables such as trust, satisfaction, habit, and service quality. These results highlight the critical roles of hedonic experience and perceived behavioural control in shaping post-adoption behaviour in mobile banking services. The study extends the applicability of TAM and TPB in a post-adoption context and provides practical implications for digital banking providers to enhance user experience, emotional engagement, and perceived control to strengthen long-term usage.

Abstract

The rapid digitalization of app-based transportation services has transformed urban mobility behaviour, making it increasingly important to understand the factors shaping customer satisfaction within a competitive market environment. This study examines the influence of price, ease of use, customer trust, and customer experience on user satisfaction with the Maxim online transportation service in Samarinda, emphasizing perceived value, risk perception, and the socio-emotional dynamics embedded in service interactions. A quantitative approach was employed through a survey of 100 respondents selected using purposive sampling, and the data were analyzed using multiple linear regression, t-tests, F-tests, and the coefficient of determination to evaluate the predictive strength of the model. The results reveal that price, customer trust, and customer experience significantly affect satisfaction. In contrast, ease of use does not show a significant effect, although it remains a baseline expectation in digital service ecosystems. The strongest determinants of satisfaction are the perceived fit between price and benefits, users' Trust in safety and reliability, and positive social interactions with drivers. The simultaneous test shows that the four variables collectively explain 52.2% of the variance in customer satisfaction, highlighting its multidimensional nature in digital service evaluation. Overall, the study concludes that satisfaction with Maxim is driven more by perceived value and social-emotional experiences than by technological convenience, offering strategic implications for service enhancement, customer relationship strengthening, and long-term loyalty development.
