Abstract

Financial literacy plays a crucial role in improving the economic well-being of communities, especially for beneficiaries of the Family Hope Program (PKH). However, low financial literacy remains a challenge, particularly in rural areas. This community engagement program aims to enhance the financial management knowledge of residents in Tanjungbaru Village through socialization and financial education. The methods used include pre-tests, interactive counseling, and post-tests to measure program effectiveness. The material covered income recording, expense calculation, budgeting, debt management, and the importance of emergency funds. The results showed improved participants' understanding of financial literacy concepts, as reflected in the increased post-test scores. Through this financial education initiative, the community is to manage their finances better, avoid excessive debt, and plan long-term financial goals to improve family well-being. Continuous financial education is necessary to ensure sustainable financial literacy growth and positive economic impacts.

Abstract

Micro businesses are important amidst the problems of unemployment and economic problems in society. Banyumas Regency, especially in Kembaran District, has more than 3,084 micro-enterprises which really need attention and support from the government, community institutions, especially universities. There are many challenges faced by micro entrepreneurs, both in terms of capital, marketing and management. Limited human resources and management, especially in terms of financial management, is one of the focuses that requires assistance from universities. Therefore, this community service activity is aimed at increasing awareness, understanding and knowledge of micro business financial management with the ultimate aim of improving business performance. The training is not just an introduction, but also practice in using financial management formats with simple Excel-based applications.

Abstract

The ability to manage household finances effectively is a crucial aspect in maintaining the stability and resilience of the family economy, especially amidst the dynamics of daily needs that continue to grow. However, the reality in the field shows that most housewives still face limitations in terms of financial literacy, especially in recording income and expenses systematically and structured. Based on these problems, this community service activity aims to improve the financial literacy of housewives in Mekarsari Housing, Depok City, through training in the use of digital financial recording applications. The methods used include face-to-face training sessions, direct application usage practice, and intensive assistance during the implementation process. The two main applications introduced in this training are Money Manager for mobile-based recording and Microsoft Excel as a simple but flexible recording tool. Evaluation was carried out through pre-tests and post-tests as well as observations of participant practice. The results showed a significant increase in understanding the basic concepts of financial literacy, technical skills in using the application, and awareness of the importance of daily financial recording. This program not only has a positive impact on the technical skills of participants but also encourages the creation of a culture of financial discipline and economic independence in the household environment. In the future, this training is expected to be replicated in other community environments as a strategic effort to empower the family economy based on digital technology.

Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance the capacity of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Bojonggede, Bogor Regency, in strategically utilizing digital communication tools. The core training activities focused on three key areas: customer communication through chat platforms, the development of visually appealing product catalogs, and effective product presentation techniques. Employing a participatory approach, the participants were introduced to theoretical concepts and hands-on practices to refine their digital communication skills aligned with current market dynamics. The evaluation results indicate that the training significantly impacted the participants’ ability to engage with customers professionally and promote their products in a more structured and compelling manner. This program is expected to serve as a replicable model for digital communication empowerment among other MSME communities in surrounding regions

Abstract

In the visually driven digital era, compelling promotional content is vital for the sustainability and growth of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM), particularly in the aesthetic-dependent fashion sector. However, many fashion UMKM actors, especially at the local level, like Cibinong, Bogor Regency, face limitations in creating professional promotional content that can attract online consumers. A lack of skills in visual design and the utilization of dynamic social media features often hinders their ability to enhance product appeal. This community service activity aimed to address this issue by providing training in promotional content creation, focusing on the use of the intuitive Canva platform and the Reels feature on social media to enhance the visual appeal of fashion UMKM products in Cibinong, Bogor Regency. The training employed a participatory and educative approach, involving practical sessions on Canva design principles and Reels video creation tailored for fashion products. Participants, consisting of local fashion UMKM owners, actively engaged in creating promotional materials for their businesses. Preliminary observations and post-training assessments indicated an increased understanding and ability among participants to produce more visually engaging content. This initiative demonstrated the potential of accessible digital tools and targeted training in empowering local fashion UMKM to improve their online presence and marketing effectiveness.

Abstract

Financial literacy is an important foundation in realizing sustainable household welfare. In practice, many families, especially those managed by housewives, do not yet have the habit or skills to record and plan expenses systematically. This training aims to improve family financial literacy through digital financial recording education using a simple and easily accessible Android application. The target of the activity is the PKK mothers' community in Jatisampurna Village, Bekasi. The training method is carried out through a participatory approach with stages of identifying needs, compiling modules, direct training, practicing using the application, pre-test and post-test evaluations, and post-training assistance. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in participants' understanding of the basic principles of financial recording and technical skills in using digital applications for household needs. This training also had an impact on changing participants' financial mindsets to be more planned and data-based

Abstract

Digital transformation has become a strategic necessity in the development of small businesses, including home-based enterprises run by housewives. However, many home-based culinary entrepreneurs lack skills in digital marketing. This community service activity aims to enhance digital marketing capacity for housewives involved in culinary businesses in Lenteng Agung, South Jakarta. The training focuses on three main platforms that are easily accessible and user-friendly: Instagram, Canva, and WhatsApp Business. The methods employed include initial observation, preparation of training modules, face-to-face training, hands-on practice, as well as mentoring and evaluation. The results of the activity indicate a significant improvement in participants' abilities to create engaging promotional content, understand promotional functions and features on Instagram, and use WhatsApp Business proficiently. This is reflected in the pre-test and post-test results, which show an average score increase of 45–55%, particularly in the categories of promotional content creation, visual branding, and social media utilization. The evaluation of the activity also demonstrates a very high level of participant satisfaction, with an average score above 4.5 in terms of material relevance, participant engagement, and facilitator performance. This improvement indicates the success of the practice-based training method that is directly oriented towards participants' needs. It is hoped that this training can serve as a foundational step in the economic empowerment of families based on digital technology, while also encouraging housewives to be more confident in utilizing social media as an effective and sustainable promotional tool.

Abstract

This community service program aims to empower housewives in Jagakarsa through digital communication strategies tailored to promote their home-based processed food products. The initiative focuses on enhancing participants' communication skills, particularly in customer engagement and crafting promotional messages that are persuasive and brand-oriented. The core activities include training sessions on effective digital communication with customers, the use of social media platforms, and techniques for packaging promotional messages that highlight product uniqueness and value. Through participatory and practical learning methods, participants are guided to build confidence in interacting with potential customers and develop communication materials that can improve product visibility and sales. The program ultimately seeks to support the economic resilience of housewives by equipping them with relevant digital skills to compete in the increasingly digital marketplace.

Abstract

Street crimes are increasingly rampant and dangerous, especially in Yogyakarta Regional Police, which is known as Klitih, which is different from the real meaning. Klitih crimes often occur at night and the perpetrators are mostly teenagers. This street crime is quite troubling because it will disturb the security and order of the environment which has an impact on economic development in the region. This community service activity was carried out by STIK Lemdiklat Polri by going directly to Polda D.I. Yogyakarta with a study of Sleman Police. The theoretical studies used in this community service are Karl Marx's alienation theory, social conflict and law enforcement. This community activity was carried out using assistance techniques and FGD (Focus Group Discussion) to the Yogyakarta Police, members of Sleman Police and STIK Lemdikpol students. The results of the community service showed that the Klitih crime arose because of the alienation of teenagers in the face of the tourist industry in Yogyakarta. This causes them to be left out and run away in the form of showing off to the environment about their existence. Therefore, all parties must understand this by eliminating the social gaps that exist in today's youth. Handling this crime case must involve parents and all parties as a strict social control in order to realize security and order.

Abstract

Social media-based product branding is one of the keys to the success of MSMEs in building identity and increasing competitiveness amidst an increasingly competitive digital market. In the Ciputat area, South Tangerang, many young entrepreneurs have business potential but still face limitations in designing effective digital branding strategies. Responding to this challenge, this community service activity is designed to increase the digital branding capacity of young entrepreneurs through logo design training, Instagram feed management, and the preparation of communicative and attractive product storytelling. This activity is carried out with a participatory approach through the stages of identifying participant needs, preparing contextual training modules, practicing direct content design and production, and evaluating participant abilities through pre-tests and post-tests. The training results showed a significant increase in the understanding of the concept of digital branding and the technical skills of participants in creating consistent visual elements and conveying product value through narratives on social media. This program is expected to strengthen the brand identity of MSMEs and open up opportunities for digital market expansion for young entrepreneurs in the area.
