Abstract

This research examines how facilitating conditions and social influence affect individuals’ intentions to pay zakat via the QRIS platform, with age considered as a moderating variable in the setting of Baitul Mal Aceh. Anchored in the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT), the study identifies the main factors driving the adoption of digital zakat payments. A quantitative approach was employed, using purposive sampling to gather data from 120 respondents. The dataset was analyzed through Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using the Partial Least Squares (PLS) technique. Results show that both facilitating conditions and social influence have a significant and positive effect on the behavioral intention to adopt QRIS for zakat payments. Moreover, age functions as a moderator: younger participants are more responsive to facilitating conditions, whereas older individuals are more influenced by social pressure. These insights emphasize that successful implementation of QRIS in zakat collection depends on the interaction of enabling infrastructure, social dynamics, and generational differences factors that zakat management institutions should account for in policy and practice.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Social Media Utilization and Business Capital on the Performance of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). This study uses a quantitative approach with primary data collected from 230 MSME respondents through questionnaires. The results of the validity and reliability tests indicate that the research instruments used are valid and reliable. Multiple linear regression analysis shows that the Business Capital variable has a positive and significant effect on MSME Performance, while Social Media Utilization does not have a significant effect. The results of the partial test (T-Test) show that Social Media Utilization (Sig. value 0.605) has no significant effect, while Business Capital (Sig. value 0.000) individually has a significant effect on MSME Performance. Simultaneously (F-Test), both variables have a significant effect with a Sig. value of 0.000. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.421 indicates that 42.1% of the variation in MSME performance can be explained by the use of social media and business capital, while the remaining 57.9% is explained by other factors outside this research model. Keywords:Utilization of Social Media, Business Capital, MSME Performance

Abstract

The rising adoption of financial technology, especially payment options like "buy now, pay later," is becoming more common among young individuals, especially students. This trend is very much connected to people wanting to buy more and more things and how well they can handle their own money. This research seeks to investigate how lifestyle and knowledge of financial matters affect whether students at the Faculty of Economics, Prima Indonesia University, Medan use "buy now, pay later" services. In this study, a quantitative method was used, involving a sample group of 363 people, with the number decided by using the Slovin formula. The results indicated that lifestyle and understanding of finance have a large impact on whether people use "buy now, pay later" fintech services, both separately and as a whole. Both factors together accounted for 41.6% of the behavior related to using "buy now, pay later," with financial understanding being a bigger factor than lifestyle. These conclusions highlight how important it is to increase students' knowledge of finance, so they can use "buy now, pay later" services more carefully and in a way that lasts, without causing money problems later on.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of Islamic values on domestic tourists’ intention to visit Aceh, with place identity as a potential moderating variable. Aceh’s strong Islamic character positions it as an attractive destination for Muslim tourists from Sumatra. Employing a quantitative approach, data were collected from 119 respondents via questionnaire and analyzed using simple linear regression and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). Findings reveal that Islamic values have a significant positive effect on visit intention. Place identity also positively influences visit intention, but does not moderate the relationship between Islamic values and visit intention. These results indicate that Islamic values serve as a primary motivator for domestic tourists, while place identity exerts an independent effect on visit intention. Keywords: Islamic values, visiting interest, place identity, halal tourism, Aceh

Abstract

USK Tour and Travel is a business unit under Universitas Syiah Kuala operating in the travel and tourism services sector. This study aims to analyze the business development strategy of USK Tour and Travel using the SWOT analysis approach and examine its alignment with Islamic economic values. A qualitative descriptive method was used, with data gathered through interviews, observations, and documentation. Based on the analysis, USK Tour and Travel is positioned in Quadrant I (S–O Strategy), indicating strong internal capabilities and favorable external opportunities. The recommended strategies include leveraging institutional support and academic networks to optimize growth in the halal and educational tourism sector, enhancing digital marketing, improving human resource capacity, and establishing strategic partnerships. From an Islamic economic perspective, core values such as shiddiq (honesty), amanah (trustworthiness), fathanah (intelligence), tabligh (communication), and istiqamah (consistency) are being implemented but require further integration into daily business practices to achieve both profitability and spiritual value. This research is expected to serve as a reference for businesses aiming to develop within an Islamic ethical framework in the tourism industry.
