Abstract

Correctional inmates have pressure in living their lives, so the behavior carried out by inmates in an effort to respond to this pressure is interesting. Adaptive coping behavior encourages the formation of one's positive attitude towards problems. This research attempted to obtain an overview of adaptive coping behavior in prisoners by employing a phenomenological qualitative design as the research approach applied through observation and semi-structured interviews with 7 respondents selected using purposive sampling. The result indicated, the respondents experienced problems such as lack of emotional control, disapproval of punishment, feeling guilty about family, lack of enthusiasm for life, feelings of resentment towards the company, feelings guilty about childhood and lack of ability to interact socially. The respondents exhibited coping behavior, such as accepting and surrendering (emotion-focused coping), planning a structured life (problem-focused coping), getting visits from family (social support), getting attention from their life partner (dyadic coping), performing reappraisal (positive reappraisal), having a strong character (character strength) and having the desire to memorize the Qur'an (religious coping). From these findings, it is known coping behavior affects an individual's personality. In this way, individuals will be able to adapt well to their environment. Exploring and applying coping behavior is highly recommended after this research.

The data were collected using the Career Decision Making Difficulties Questionnaire Scale (CDDQ). The data analysis using the Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test showed differences before and after the intervention, while the intermediate test using the Mann- Whitney Test showed changes after the intervention. Therefore, this research confirmed that career information based on TWA (Theory of Work Adjustment) through the ISORA game media is effective in reducing the level of difficulty in career decisions making. Thus, further research counselors can develop this finding by combining the TWA with Holand's theory and other career theories.

Experimental research with a two-factor Pre-test-Multiple post-test control design was employed in this investigation. Three groups were involved in the sampling process, each consisting of 8 tenth graders indicated to have high levels of bullying behavior. Students’ bullying behavior was measured using a bullying behavior scale based on Dupper's (2013) theory, consisting of 30 items measuring six bullying behaviors and being analyzed using the repeated mix ANOVA test. According to the findings, applying cognitive restructuring and role-playing techniques effectively reduced bullying behavior in students. Abstract

Most child marriage cases somewhat harm the parenting process and self-efficacy. Regarding this issue, the present study examined the impact of social environment and parenting roles on parenting self-efficacy in child marriage couples. A quantitative approach with the ex post facto correlational design was employed by involving 109 respondents residing in two sub-districts in Semarang City. Based on the hierarchical regression test, it was found that (1) the social environment positively predicted parenting self-efficacy, and (2) democratic and permissive parenting styles positively predicted parenting self-efficacy. Thus, it can be concluded that the better the social environment and parenting roles' significance value, the more impact parenting self-efficacy in child marriage couples will have.
