Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the benchmark interest rate (BI Rate) and inflation on startup investment in Indonesia. Using secondary data for the period 2015–2025, a linear regression analysis was conducted to test the relationship between variables. The results showed that the BI Rate has a negative relationship with startup investment (regression coefficient -1.051; p = 0.337), but is not statistically significant. Conversely, inflation shows a positive relationship (regression coefficient 1.343; p = 0.276), but is also not significant. These findings indicate that macroeconomic factors such as interest rates and inflation have not become the main determinants in startup investment decisions. Other factors such as government policies, access to funding, and technological innovation are thought to have a more dominant influence.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the quality management and product design issues faced by PT L’Essential and their impact on customer satisfaction. The main problems identified include a high rate of product defects, particularly in packaging such as leaking bottles and pump malfunctions, as well as a mismatch between packaging design and consumer expectations. To address these issues, a qualitative approach was employed through direct observation, semi-structured interviews, and the use of company data to support theoretical analysis. Analytical tools used include production process flowcharts, cause-and-effect diagrams, Pareto charts, and design-focused methods such as Quality Function Deployment (QFD) and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) to identify root causes of design failures. The findings reveal that 70% of total product defects stem from two major types of failures: leaking bottles and pump malfunctions, which directly affect stock accuracy and distribution flow. The production yield rate was recorded at 93.63% with a productivity level of 5.85 units per hour, while the quality productivity ratio was only 23.25%, indicating untapped efficiency potential. The managerial implications of these findings highlight the need to strengthen quality control at the early stages of production, redesign packaging based on customer needs, and provide ongoing employee training. These strategies are expected to reduce defect rates, enhance operational efficiency, and strengthen customer loyalty toward PT L'Essential brand in the competitive skincare market.

Abstract

The development of the modern world of work is characterized by the increasing adoption of flexible work patterns and greater attention to employee welfare. This study aims to analyze trends and research developments related to the influence of work flexibility and employee welfare programs on employee retention in the flexible work era through a bibliometric approach. By analysing 200 articles published in reputable international journals during the period 2019–2024, the study found that work flexibility—such as self-paced scheduling and an independent workplace—as well as comprehensive well-being programs consistently contribute positively to employee satisfaction, loyalty, and retention. These findings are increasingly relevant amid changing preferences of millennials and Gen Z who highly value work-life balance and work autonomy. The analysis also shows that the integration of flexible work policies and comprehensive welfare programs can reduce stress levels, increase motivation, and create a work environment that supports employees' emotional attachment to the organization. The practical implications of this study emphasize the importance of developing an adaptive and employee-based human resource policy so that organizations can retain the best talent amid the dynamics of changing work patterns. The study also identifies future research agendas to deepen understanding of the relationship between work flexibility, well-being, and employee retention in an ever-evolving work context.

Abstract

This study analyzes the impact of the digital economy on the growth of MSMEs in Indonesia in the Industry 4.0 era. Using a descriptive quantitative approach and a sample of 150 MSMEs, results show that the adoption of digital technologies (e-commerce, big data, digital payments) increases operational efficiency, turnover and market reach. However, challenges such as low digital literacy, infrastructure gaps, and limited access to training hinder the optimization of digitalization benefits. This study emphasizes the importance of collaboration between government, private sector, and educational institutions to strengthen training, funding, and infrastructure support to maximize the potential of MSMEs' digital transformation.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of social environment in the relationship between competencies and entrepreneurial interest of Vocational High School (SMK) students. Entrepreneurial competencies, which include practical skills, business knowledge, and creativity, are identified as important factors influencing entrepreneurial interest. However, the social environment-including family, peers, teachers and the local community-has a significant influence in shaping students' attitudes and motivation towards entrepreneurship. This review uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method to identify, evaluate and synthesize findings from previous research relevant to this topic. The results show that a supportive social environment, such as strong family support, entrepreneurial-oriented peers, and education supported by schools, can strengthen the influence of competencies on students' entrepreneurial interest. Conversely, an unsupportive social environment can inhibit entrepreneurial interest despite high competencies. This study concludes that the role of the social environment is crucial in facilitating and strengthening the relationship between competence and entrepreneurial interest, which can contribute to the increase of entrepreneurship among vocational students.

Abstract

Coffee is a strategic commodity that contributes significantly to Indonesia's national economy. However, most of Indonesia's coffee exports are still in the form of raw beans (green beans), so the added value of the product has not been optimally felt by the local farming community. This study aims to examine the practice of community-based coffee roasting developed by the people of Bone-Bone Village, Baraka District, Enrekang Regency, as a strategy for downstreaming local coffee products and economic empowerment based on regional potential. The method used is a qualitative approach with case studies, through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that the roasting practice in this village is carried out traditionally with techniques that are inherited from generation to generation, but are able to produce competitive distinctive flavors. The community utilizes social capital in the form of trust and collaboration in maintaining the quality of products collectively. Despite facing challenges such as limited infrastructure and technology, the practice demonstrates local resilience and innovation in coffee processing. The results of this study conclude that community-based roasting practices have the potential to increase economic value and strengthen local cultural identity, and are suitable as a replication model for the development of the coffee industry in other regions.
