The background of this research is based on the importance of a leadership style that serves in creating a productive work environment, especially in Correctional Institutions which have high work challenges. In this context, managerial skills are seen as an important factor in optimizing the influence of leadership on performance. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method on prison employees in Malang. The data was analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS). The results of the study show that servant leadership has a positive and significant effect on performance. In addition, managerial skills also have a significant influence on performance and mediate the relationship between servant leadership and employee performance. These findings affirm the importance of developing servant leadership and strengthening managerial skills to improve employee performance. The application of a service-oriented leadership style, when accompanied by good managerial skills, is able to create more optimal performance in complex work environments such as prisons.

Abstract

This study investigates the synergy between Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) to enhance sustainable environmental governance in the Niger Delta. The research aims to examine the connection between AI, TEK, and environmental sustainability; explore the integration of AI and TEK in decision-making processes; and develop a conceptual framework for this amalgamation. Grounded in the Social-Ecological Systems (SES) Theory and Co-Production of Knowledge Theory, the study employs a qualitative approach, primarily through an extensive literature review of scholarly works from 2019 to 2025. Findings reveal that the integration of AI and TEK can enhance environmental monitoring by 45% and increase community engagement in governance processes by 60%, demonstrating significant improvements in local stewardship practices. This study concludes that harmonising these two knowledge systems holds transformative potential for the Niger Delta, paving the way for sustainable resource management that respects local cultures. To realise this potential, it recommends establishing collaborative frameworks for community involvement, developing contextual training programmes that bridge both knowledge systems, and implementing regulatory measures to safeguard the intellectual property rights of indigenous communities, promoting equity and ethical practices in environmental governance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of entrepreneurship education and digital literacy on entrepreneurial interest, with opportunity recognition as a mediating variable. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method through hypothesis testing. The research sample involved 358 senior high school students in grade XII in the Mojokerto area. Data analysis was performed using the Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) method. The results of this study indicate that entrepreneurship education and digital literacy have a significant and positive effect on opportunity recognition. In addition, opportunity recognition has a significant and positive effect on entrepreneurial interest. However, entrepreneurship education and digital literacy do not have a significant or negative effect on entrepreneurial interest. Entrepreneurship opportunity recognition mediates the effect of entrepreneurship education and digital literacy on entrepreneurial interest. Students do not have an interest in entrepreneurship if the recognition of entrepreneurial opportunities is not included in entrepreneurship education and digital literacy in senior high schools in the Mojokerto region. The implications of this study can help public high school educational institutions in Mojokerto to improve entrepreneurial projects and family support for students to realize entrepreneurial behavior in line with the needs of today's business world.

Abstract

This research analyzes the influence of business plans on customer satisfaction with RATER dimensions as mediating variables in the retail industry of Tabalong Regency. A systematic literature review methodology was employed to synthesize relevant literature from 2019-2025 across various accredited academic databases. Findings demonstrate that business plans significantly influence RATER dimensions implementation, with reliability and responsiveness showing highest effectiveness in local retail contexts. Mediation mechanisms confirm that service quality functions as a translator converting strategic intentions into customer outcomes. Reliability and responsiveness dimensions exhibit most consistent influence on customer satisfaction, while empathy requires contextual adaptation. Theoretical contribution lies in empirical validation that business planning requires intermediate mechanisms for optimal impact creation. Practical implications indicate that retail businesses in emerging markets should prioritize investments in reliability and responsiveness dimensions as competitive advantage foundations. This research enriches understanding of mediating relationship complexity within retail ecosystems and provides strategic frameworks for customer satisfaction optimization through targeted service quality improvements in Indonesian emerging market contexts. The study contributes valuable insights for retail management theory and practice in developing economies.

Abstract

This study develops a carbon cost accounting model tailored to the Indonesian cement industry, a sector that represents one of the nation’s largest industrial contributors to CO₂ emissions. While Indonesia introduced a carbon tax in 2022, its effective implementation has been constrained by the lack of clear technical guidelines for integrating carbon costs into corporate accounting systems. Drawing upon environmental management accounting, legitimacy theory, stakeholder theory, and the triple bottom line framework, this research proposes a structured model to identify, measure, and allocate carbon-related costs—namely emission allowances, carbon taxes, and abatement costs—within financial reporting. Using a mixed-methods approach that combines qualitative insights from industry practitioners with quantitative analysis of economic and sustainability data, the model addresses critical gaps in current practices, enhances transparency, and supports regulatory compliance. Beyond compliance, it provides a strategic tool for improving resource efficiency, reducing emissions, and strengthening competitiveness in a carbon-constrained economy. Ultimately, the proposed framework seeks to empower Indonesian cement companies to better manage their environmental impact, align with global sustainability targets, and enhance long-term economic resilience.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of gamification strategies in social media marketing to increase customer loyalty among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). In the era of growing digital competition, MSMEs need innovative approaches to attract and retain customers. Gamification, as an engagement-based marketing technique, leverages game elements such as rewards, leaderboards, and challenges to create interactive consumer experiences. This research employed a mixed-method design combining quantitative analysis (correlation and t-test) and qualitative insights to evaluate the impact of gamification on customer engagement and loyalty. The findings indicate a significant positive relationship between gamification strategies and customer loyalty, with gamified content on social media platforms proving effective in encouraging repeat purchases and strengthening brand attachment. The study contributes to marketing literature by providing empirical evidence of gamification effectiveness as a cost-efficient and scalable marketing tool for MSMEs. Practical recommendations are also provided for MSME practitioners in designing customer-centered campaigns to maximize engagement and loyalty in the evolving digital ecosystem.
