Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of carcass parts on broiler chickens fed corn leaf flour and seaweed. This study used a Complete Random Design (RAL) with 6 treatments and 4 replicates. The treatment provided was the administration of seaweed flour and corn leaf flour to 96 broiler chickens aged 2 weeks. The experimental feed used in this study was P0 (commercial feed), P1 (10% corn leaf meal), P2 (10% seaweed meal), P3 (5% corn leaf meal + 15% seaweed meal), P4 (10% corn leaf meal + 10% seaweed meal), and P5 (15% corn leaf meal + 5% seaweed meal). The observed research variables were cut weight, chest weight, thighs, wings, and back. The results of this study were that corn leaf flour and seaweed flour did not have a real effect on the weight value of the chest, thighs, wings, and back. It was concluded that the application of corn leaf flour and seaweed had an effect on the weight of the broiler chicken carcass

Abstract

Small and Medium Industries (SMEs) have an important role in the local economy, but often face challenges in environmentally friendly waste management. This study aims to examine tempeh waste in Tempe Sanan IKM and its management based on the principles of green manufacturing and SDGs, in order to formulate sustainable management recommendations for tempeh SMEs in Sanan Village, Malang, with reference to the principles of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially the 6th goal (clean water and sanitation), the 12th (responsible consumption and production), and the 13th (handling climate change). The research method used is a qualitative case study with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and documentation. The results of the analysis show that most of the Tempe Sanan SMEs have not fully implemented the principle of green manufacturing, especially in the aspect of liquid and solid waste treatment. However, there is great potential for the development of more sustainable waste treatment technology, such as the use of tempeh pulp waste into animal feed or organic fertilizer. This study recommends the need for support from local governments and related institutions in the form of training, incentives, and supporting infrastructure to encourage the transformation of SMEs towards greener and more sustainable industries.

Abstract

This study aims to develop, validate, and test the effectiveness of interactive learning media for fundamental Pencak Silat techniques for junior high school students. The background of this research is the difficulty students face in visualizing complex motor movements in Pencak Silat through conventional methods. This research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The study was conducted at SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Yogyakarta with 8th-grade students as the subjects. Data were collected using validation sheets from material and media experts, as well as student response questionnaires. The results showed that the developed media achieved a validation score of 83.9% from both material and media experts, placing it in the "Very Feasible" category. Furthermore, the media proved to be effective in improving student learning outcomes, evidenced by an average post-test score of 84.8% and an N-Gain score of 0.757, which is categorized as "High Effectiveness." This study concludes that the interactive learning media created with Adobe Flash CS6 is a viable and effective tool for enhancing the mastery of fundamental Pencak Silat techniques in physical education.

Abstract

Maize (Zea mays L.) is a significant food commodity in Telaga Biru Subdistrict, Gorontalo Regency; therefore, information on soil fertility is crucial as a basis for effective land management. This study aims to analyze the chemical and physical fertility of soils in maize cultivation areas and to identify efforts to improve maize productivity in Telaga Biru Subdistrict. The study was conducted from April to November 2025 in Telaga Biru Subdistrict, Gorontalo Regency. A descriptive quantitative method with a land unit-based survey approach was employed. Soil sampling was conducted diagonally in three villages: Timuato, Modelidu, and Talumelito, at a depth of 0-20 cm. The analyzed chemical fertility parameters included soil pH, nitrogen, organic carbon, cation exchange capacity, available phosphorus, potassium, and base saturation. Physical soil properties analyzed included soil texture, bulk density, and soil color. The findings showed that the soil pH was slightly acidic, with nitrogen and organic carbon contents falling into the low to moderate categories. The cation exchange capacity and the availability of phosphorus and potassium were moderate, while base saturation was relatively low: The physical soil properties were dominated by clay to clay loam textures with relatively high bulk density values. These conditions indicate that maize cultivation land in Telaga Biru Subdistrict has sufficient fertility to support plant growth; however, appropriate soil management is still required through balanced fertilization, the addition of organic matter, and improvement of soil physical properties to enhance productivity sustainably.
