Abstract

This study aims to analyse the influence of principal leadership and conflict management on teachers’work motivation. A quantitative approach is used with a type of correlational research. Data wascollected through a questionnaire with the Likert scale, followed by tests of validity, reliability,normality, and linearity. The study was conducted on 141 high school teachers in Kotaagung Districtwith a sample taken proportionally using the Slovin formula. The results of the study show that theleadership of school principals has a significant positive influence on teachers’ work motivation witha contribution of 25.1%. Conflict management also had a significant positive effect with a contributionof 16.6%. However, when tested together, leadership and conflict management did not show asignificant influence on teachers’ work motivation, indicating that there were other factors that weremore dominant in influencing work motivation. This research makes a theoretical contribution tothe development of literature on the role of transformational leadership and conflict management inincreasing teachers’ work motivation. Practically, these results can be a reference for school principalsand policymakers to create a conducive work environment through effective leadership and conflictmanagement.

Abstract

Leadership in education significantly impacts the success of educational units and students’ academic performance. Effective principals foster inclusive communication, reward achievements, and encourage teamwork, creating a motivating environment. Work climate is equally crucial, influencing teacher performance through support, communication, recognition, and access to resources, enhancing teacher motivation and satisfaction. This study examines the influence of leadership and work climate on teacher performance in public junior high schools in Pagelaran Subdistrict. Using a quantitative approach and an ex-post facto design, data were collected from teachers at SMP Negeri 1 and SMP Negeri 2 Pagelaran through purposive sampling. Analysis methods included normality, linearity, and multicollinearity tests, along with regression analyses. Findings reveal that principal leadership positively affects teacher performance (40.5%), work climate has a stronger effect (48.9%), and their combined influence contributes 49.7%. These results emphasize the importance of leadership and work climate in enhancing educational outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of school principals in the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in State Elementary School, Pulau Panggung District. The background of this research is based on the challenges faced in the implementation of the Independent Curriculum, such as limited resources, lack of teacher training, and adaptation to innovative learning methods. The principal has a strategic role in supporting the implementation of this curriculum, both as managers, supervisors, and entrepreneurs in managing and developing learning media. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation involving principals and teachers. The results of the study show that school principals have a significant role in directing, supervising, and optimizing the implementation of the Independent Curriculum. There are obstacles such as lack of technological skills, time constraints, and resistance to changes in the school environment. Therefore, increased training, closer collaboration between principals and teachers, and more comprehensive policy support are needed to overcome these obstacles. The leadership of the principal contributes greatly to the successful implementation of the Independent Curriculum, with a positive impact on the quality of learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of coaching-based academic supervision in improving the quality of learning in the Independent Curriculum. Rooted in the theory of academic supervision and coaching, this study highlights the importance of implementing coaching-based academic supervision in the TIRTA (Objectives, Identification, Action Plan, and Responsibilities) flow. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach, involving observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The findings of the study show that supervision plays an active role in helping teachers through a participatory and holistic approach, involving classroom observation, self-reflection, and constructive feedback. Supervision helps agree on goals, identify teachers’ weaknesses and strengths, develop development action plans that are directed and in accordance with teachers’ needs, significantly improve the quality of learning in line with the TIRTA model. Motivation and support from supervision encourage teachers to develop innovative ideas, while shared commitment and structured monitoring ensure the successful implementation of the action plan. Obstacles in the implementation of supervision can be overcome with an adaptive, empathetic, and continuous training approach. An important contribution of the research is the development of supervision strategies that empower teachers and support the implementation of a student-cantered curriculum. This study suggests the importance of coaching-based academic supervision as an effective approach in supervision in helping teachers support and empower teachers to improve the quality of learning in the Independent Curriculum.

Abstract

Implementation of technology-based education financial management in Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia can provide an effective solution for managing funds. however, the lack of education financial management is reflected in the use of applications that are not yet optimal, which results in the data collection, processing and data search processes being less efficient. this research aims not only to determine the capacity of Islamic boarding schools in Klaten in facing changes in digital-based education financial management, but also to describe and analyze digital-based education financial management at Islamic boarding schools in Klaten. the research method used is descriptive qualitative research. the results of this research show that Islamic boarding schools in Klaten have implemented digital-based education financial management with the syahriah application. the process involves planning, organizing, implementing, and monitoring. the benefits of digital-based payments provide convenience for guardians of santri, including payment of tuition fees, top-ups, and monitoring of arrears. for treasurers/staff, using this application helps in checking, minimizing errors, providing payment notifications, and increasing the efficiency of financial reports. even though there are obstacles such as not understanding its use, outreach to student guardians and a quick response from BSI is a solution to these technical obstacles. the conclusion from this research is that the Islamic boarding school in Klaten has succeeded in implementing digital-based financial management providing significant benefits for student guardians and the treasurer/staff. even though there are technical obstacles, the solution presented is quite suitable.

Abstract

This study evaluates the implementation of differentiated learning in PAUD driving schools in Pringsewu Regency using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model. The background of the research is that the application of differentiated learning in local PAUD institutions has not been evenly distributed. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach with interview, documentation, and observation instruments. The results of the study show that the implementation of differentiated learning has been effective, as seen from the suitability of the school environment and children's characteristics. Input factors include relevant curriculum, resources, and learning materials. The learning process uses various strategies according to students' readiness, interests, and learning profiles. Student learning outcomes include improved material comprehension, critical thinking skills, motivation, confidence, and active participation. The research recommends teacher competency training, the formation of learning communities, and periodic monitoring and evaluation. The implication is the need for curriculum adjustments and the commitment of all stakeholders to create a meaningful learning environment and support differentiated learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze educational management strategies in implementing a child-centered approach to early childhood learning in kindergarten settings. Using a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design, the research was conducted at TK Cahaya Bangsa in Semarang, Central Java. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal that the educational management strategies include thematic curriculum planning, flexible scheduling, participative leadership, and active parental involvement. The child-centered approach is implemented through project-based learning, environmental exploration, and thematic activities that position children as active participants in the learning process. The main challenges identified involve limited learning resources, varying teacher competencies, and fluctuating levels of parental engagement. Nevertheless, effective management strategies significantly contribute to creating a child-centered learning environment that fosters autonomy, creativity, and social development. This study offers valuable implications for early childhood education policy and managerial practices in preschool institutions. Abstract

This study aims to analyze in depth the role of pedagogic competence of teachers of Government Employees with Employment Agreements (PPPK) in improving the quality of learning at SMP Negeri 1 Talangpadang, Tanggamus Regency, Lampung Province. Using a qualitative approach of the case study type, this study involves PPPK teachers, school principals, and students as informants. Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and documentation studies. Data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman interactive model which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that although PPPK teachers have conceptual mastery of pedagogic aspects such as planning, implementation, and evaluation of learning, the level of implementation is still uneven. The main obstacles faced include the absence of post-placement training, lack of reflective academic supervision, and limited supporting technology facilities. However, in general, PPPK teachers have been able to maintain the quality of basic learning, although it is not optimal in creating innovative, adaptive, and Independent Curriculum-based learning. This research emphasizes the urgency of strengthening a contextual and sustainable professional coaching system for PPPK teachers, in order to maximize their contribution to improving the quality of education in public schools, especially in non-urban areas.

Abstract

Kegiatan ekstrakulikuler di SMK Bistek Bekasi bertujuan untuk mengembangkan minat dan bakat siswa. Kegiatan ekstrakurikuler yang dimaksud berupa kegiatan ekstrakurikuler yang dikemas dalam Bistek Art Show. Kegiatan ini penggabungan tiga bidang seni, yaitu seni tari, seni musik, dan seni rupa. Dengan harapan, siswa dapat mengembangkan dirinya menjadi kreaktif. Kenyataan tentang kreaktivitas siswa di Indonesia, menurut penelitian Global Creativity Indonesia (GCI) menunjukan Indonesia berada di posisi ke-67 dari 139 negera. Indonesia di bawah Singapura (7) dan Malasyia (24). Ini merupakan cambuk keras bagi Pendidikan di Indonesia. Oleh karena itu, penyelenggaraan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler yang diselenggarakan sekolah perlu dipastikan berjalan baik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui persepsi siswa terhadap kegiatan Bistek Art Show yang telah dilaksanakan. Metode penelitian menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan skala likert satu sampai lima, yaitu Sangat Setuju, Setuju, Ragu, Tidak Setuju, dan Sangat Tidak Setuju. Persepsi siswa diukur dari indikator minat, pembinaan, sarana dan prasarana, pelaksanaan, serta kepuasan. Sampel penelitian berasal dari siswa kelas X dan XI dan pengumpulan data dengan menyebar angket melalui google form. Hasil penelitian menunjukan (1) Persepsi siswa terhadap minat untuk mengikuti kegiatan sangat kuat, 82,11%-86,58%; (2) Persepsi siswa terhadap pembinaan dalam kategori kuat dan sangat kuat, 79,63%-82,73%; (3) Persepsi siswa terhadap sarana dan prasarana menunjukan kuat dan sangat kuat sebesar 78,88%-83,48%; (4) Persepsi siswa terhadap pelaksanaan menunjukan skor kuat sebesar 79,50%-80,50%; dan (5) Persepsi kepuasan siswa terhadap kegiatan Bistek Art Show menunjukan sangat kuat dengan skor sebesar 83,85%. Dari uraian skor tersebut, disimpulkan bahwa persepsi siswa terhadap kegiatan Bistek Art Show kuat dan sangat kuat.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji pengelolaan kurikulum di Pondok Modern Daarul Ikrom dalam mengembangkan karakter santri, dengan fokus pada kurikulum MTIA (Ma'had Tarbiyah Islamiyah Al-Asriyah) yang mengintegrasikan pendidikan Islam dan umum. Isu latar belakang antara lain tantangan dalam memodernisasi pendidikan pesantren dengan tetap menjaga nilai-nilai Islam, dengan tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana pengelolaan kurikulum menumbuhkan karakter santri melalui perencanaan, pengorganisasian, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Metode studi kasus kualitatif digunakan di Pondok Modern Daarul Ikrom, Pesawaran, Lampung, menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen, dianalisis melalui model Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan kurikulum menekankan integrasi akademik-non- akademik, kebiasaan positif seperti doa dan kebersihan, serta peran pemimpin dalam memastikan disiplin, tanggung jawab, dan kepemimpinan. Kesimpulan menyoroti pengembangan karakter yang efektif dengan implikasi positif bagi integritas santi, meskipun kolaborasi eksternal disarankan untuk inovasi.
