Abstract

This article is a study on how mathematics is taught in grade 5 of Elementary School (SD) with a focus on the use of learning media. The purpose of this study is to evaluate various types of media in improving students' mathematical understanding and to find problems faced by teachers in implementing them. The method used is to conduct descriptive literature research by analyzing articles related to the use of media in teaching mathematics in grade 5 of SD Swasta Bakti 1. The results of the study indicate that student interest and learning outcomes can be improved with digital, concrete, and visual media. However, obstacles remain, such as limited facilities and lack of teacher training on how to use media properly. This article suggests improving teacher skills and providing supporting tools to maximize the use of media in mathematics learning.

Abstract

Mathematics is a core subject in elementary school that has an important role in building students' logical, critical, and creative thinking skills. Learning media is considered an effective alternative to improve students' understanding and interest in learning. The purpose of this study was to identify the learning media applied by teachers and to analyze the difficulties experienced by teachers in their application and the responses given by students to the use of learning media in class 1 of SD Negeri 066056. The research method used was Observational research using a Qualitative Approach, involving direct observation of the subject to be carried out carefully. The results of the study showed that real object and replica learning media were very useful in helping students understand the learning material and the responses given by students were also very enthusiastic. However, the obstacles faced by teachers are still there, namely the lack of learning media.

Abstract

Learning integers in elementary schools is often a challenge, characterized by students' difficulties in understanding the concept and operating positive and negative numbers. Observational research at SDN 060872 Medan identified crucial problems in this process. This study aims to offer practical and innovative solutions to overcome these obstacles. We propose the implementation of various strategies, including the use of concrete teaching aids, contextual approaches, interactive learning media, and differentiation of teaching methods that are responsive to students' learning styles. The series of solutions offered include visualizing concepts through teaching aids, connecting materials with students' daily experiences, using interactive technology to increase engagement, and adjusting teaching methods to accommodate individual differences. The implementation of these solutions is expected to improve students' conceptual understanding of integers, their ability to solve problems, and create a more inclusive and effective learning environment. This study provides valuable insights for educators and policy makers in improving the quality of mathematics learning at the elementary level.

Abstract

In this practical era, it is easy for people to access the internet anywhere and anytime. This can be done by parents, especially millennials, to access information about good parenting patterns. However, if internet access is not used wisely, the opposite will happen, and bad things will easily occur in the household, both to children and parents. This study aims to examine the types of parenting styles applied by millennial parents to their children, along with the challenges faced and the perceived impact on child development. This study is a qualitative descriptive study that aims to describe the analysis of parenting styles in millennial families in modern society. The results show that millennial parents apply an authoritative parenting style that is good for children because it balances affection and discipline, but children will easily become dependent on various electronic devices such as gadgets. With the application of this authoritative approach, children will become independent, confident individuals who are able to face future challenges well. Abstract

This research and development was conducted in class IV of SDN 050628 Tanjung Langkat, based on the problem that teachers had never used interactive learning media, still used concrete media and relied on textbooks, causing students to become bored and unenthusiastic about learning. This research aims to produce a product in the form of web-based interactive learning media using Articulate Storyline 3 for the subject of Science and Mathematics for Grade IV, specifically the material “Changing Energy Forms.” This research is a Research and Development (R&D) study that refers to the ADDIE development model, which consists of five stages: (1) Analysis, (2) Design, (3) Development, (4) Implementation, and (5) Evaluation. The instruments used to measure the quality of the learning media were expert assessment sheets and respondent questionnaires. The results of the study showed that: (1) The validity assessment of the media showed valid criteria with a material expert percentage of 88% and a media design expert percentage of 93%; (2) The assessment of media practicality showed practical criteria based on teacher responses with a percentage of 95% and student responses with a percentage of 92% obtained through questionnaires; (3) The assessment of media effectiveness showed effective criteria as seen in the increase in learning outcomes referring to the N-Gain percentage of 63%. Abstract

Evidence in civil cases is an important aspect that determines the success of dispute resolution in court. This article discusses the definition of proof, the process of proof in civil trials, the types of evidence, the legal basis that regulates it, and the obstacles that are often faced in the implementation of proof. The research method used is normative legal research with a descriptive-analytical approach through literature study. The results showed that a good understanding of evidence and the support of an effective judicial system are needed so that the objectives of justice and material truth can be achieved. The evidentiary process in civil cases is an important part that determines the success of a lawsuit in court. Evidence aims to clarify the truth of the facts argued by the parties so that the judge can make a fair decision based on valid and convincing evidence. This article is expected to be useful for law students, legal practitioners, and the general public interested in civil law.

Abstract

Mediation as an alternative way to resolve marital disputes is one way to create a more equitable resolution process. The process emphasizes communication and mutual agreement between the parties, thereby reducing the emotional tension that often arises in litigation. Through mediation, disputing couples are given space to express their opinions and find mutually beneficial solutions without having to go through a lengthy court process. From a health perspective, mediation has a positive impact because it can reduce stress, depression, and psychological distress commonly experienced by divorcing couples. Furthermore, mediation also contributes to the mental health stability of children affected by divorce, as the process is more peaceful and prioritizes family well-being. Thus, mediation serves not only as an alternative legal instrument but also as a means of psychological and social recovery for the disputing parties. This research confirms that the application of mediation in divorce disputes can be an effective and healthy solution, both from a legal perspective and for the health of individuals and families.

Abstract

This study is based on the low creativity of grade VI students of SD Negeri 105297 Helvetia on advertising material in the subject of Arts, Culture and Crafts. This problem is also supported by the lack of use of interesting learning methods in advertising learning. This study uses the free expression method as a solution to emphasize imaginative and active learning and is centered on students who are oriented towards developing competencies to improve student creativity. This study is a quasi-experimental study. The population of this study were all grade VI-C students of SD Negeri 105297 Helvetia with a research sample of 22 students taken from one class. This study used a creativity test instrument. Data were analyzed by normality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis test. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant effect of the use of the free expression method on students' creativity in arts and crafts on advertising material. This is based on the results of the hypothesis test with the Paired Sample T-Test test obtained a significance value of 0.000 <0.05, so it can be said that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted.

Abstract

The era of digital transformation has changed the paradigm of information management in various organizational sectors, especially in cost management, which is an important element in strategic decision making. Rapid developments in information technology have encouraged organizations to optimize their cost management systems through the integration of more sophisticated digital technologies. This study examines the application of a digital-based cost information management system (SMIB) in an organization that is undergoing a comprehensive digital transformation. This case highlights a unique phenomenon related to changes in cost characteristics that cannot be predicted by conventional systems. The findings show that the synergy between cost characteristic evaluation and digital technology offers innovative solutions to existing challenges. The integration of technologies such as big data analytics and machine learning improves the accuracy and speed of cost data processing, providing deeper insights for strategic decision-making. This study concludes that the development of adaptive cost information management systems is increasingly relevant given the operational complexity of modern organizations. The implementation of an integrated CMIS can result in significant efficiency improvements, as evidenced by an increase in operational efficiency of up to 35% compared to conventional systems.

Abstract

Hospitals face the challenge of delivering high-quality healthcare services while maintaining cost efficiency. One relevant managerial accounting approach is Activity-Based Costing (ABC), which allocates costs based on activities. This article examines the opportunities and challenges of implementing ABC in hospitals through a literature review of national and international journals, textbooks, and relevant regulations. The findings indicate that ABC can improve the accuracy of cost information, support cost control, and facilitate strategic decision-making. However, its implementation encounters obstacles such as the complexity of medical services, limited human resources, and the need for adequate information technology infrastructure.
