Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has provided ease of communication, but on the other hand it has caused new legal problems, one of which is the crime of defamation through social media. This crime has a serious impact on a person's reputation, honor, and dignity because the dissemination of information in the digital space is fast, widespread, and difficult to delete. This study aims to analyze the form of legal protection for victims of criminal defamation through social media as well as the mechanism of restoring the victim's good name in the Indonesian legal system. The method used is normative juridical with a statutory and conceptual approach, by examining the Criminal Code (KUHP) and Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions (UU ITE) as the legal basis. The results of the study show that legal protection for victims is carried out through three main forms, namely preventive, repressive, and then rehabilitative. In addition, this study also examines what the mechanism is like in restoring good name from the crime of defamation through social media which can be done through criminal channels (Restorative Juctice) and civil channels (restitutio in integrum). Thus, it can be concluded that legal protection for victims of defamation on social media not only emphasizes the aspect of punishment, but also the restoration of dignity and social justice through synergy between law enforcement officials, advocates, and digital platform providers

Abstract

This article aims to discuss premarital preparation as the foundation for harmony in a family. Marriage is not only the union of two individuals, but also the meeting of two personalities, two values, and two life journeys. Behind the happiness of marriage lies a long process that requires emotional, mental, and spiritual readiness. This article also reviews premarital preparation as the foundation for family harmony from a family psychology perspective, focusing on four main aspects: emotional commitment, financial management, reproductive health, and readiness for pregnancy. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method based on literature review, examining family psychology theories and research results related to premarital counseling and family health, as well as books related to both. The results of this study show that these four aspects are interrelated and form a system of balance in the household. Through the perspective of family psychology, premarital preparation can be understood as a process of developing self-awareness, empathy, and adaptability in building a stable, warm, and sustainable family relationship.

Abstract

This study analyzes the literacy level of the community in Ulos Hamlet, Tanjung Rejo Village, as a basis for developing empowerment and functional literacy programs to support the potential of cultural tourism villages. Using a descriptive qualitative approach through participatory observation, focus group discussions, interviews using a checklist, and documentation studies, 22 informants were obtained purposively. The results show that no residents are at the basic literacy level. Four people are at the advanced literacy level with the ability to understand simple texts but are not yet consistent in their application. The majority (18 people) have achieved functional literacy, as seen from the application of literacy in economic activities such as the ulos weaving business, recording transactions, using cell phones, and simple digital promotion. These findings emphasize the need to strengthen digital literacy and business management to support the welfare and development of tourism villages.

Abstract

This research explores the execution of an integrated literacy and creative economy initiative targeting children at Ranggi Literacy House, combining fundamental academic skills (reading, writing, arithmetic) with hands-on bracelet craft activities. Employing a descriptive qualitative methodology through observation, interview, and documentation methods, this investigation engaged 20 participants between 7 and 12 years old. Findings revealed that vertical multiplication presented significant challenges for the majority of participants, necessitating dedicated guidance and support. The synergistic approach of academic instruction paired with craft production demonstrated notable improvements in children's learning concentration, foundational mathematical abilities, and personal confidence levels. Through creative economy activities, participants gained exposure to elementary production workflows and manual skill-based innovation. This study contributes a community-based integrated literacy–creative economy model for children from low-income families. Beyond skill development and creative stimulation, this initiative offers practical implications for families and communities seeking replicable empowerment frameworks in comparable settings.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of functional literacy within the community of Tanjung Rejo Village, Percut Sei Tuan District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra. Considering the importance of literacy as a foundation for human resource development and community empowerment, this research employs a qualitative descriptive approach to explore experiences and literacy practices in everyday life. The study involved 22 participants selected through purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through Focus Group Discussions (FGD), participatory observation using various learning media (shopping lists, play money, financial records), and village documentation study. The results indicate that the Tanjung Rejo Village community possesses good literacy levels across three tiers: (1) Basic Literacy - 15 out of 22 people can read, write, and match item names with pictures; (2) Advanced Literacy - 18 out of 22 people can record financial transactions and calculate change; and (3) Functional Literacy - all 22 participants can analyze weekly income-expenditure comparisons and create financial plans. Documentation study confirms that there are no recorded illiterate individuals in this village, with all participants having senior high school educational backgrounds. These findings indicate that the Tanjung Rejo Village community has adequate functional literacy to manage daily life, particularly in household financial management aspects. This study recommends literacy improvement programs that focus more on digital literacy and entrepreneurship to optimize the potential of the already literate community.

Abstract

The phenomenon of growing up without a father is increasingly prevalent in modern Indonesian families. This has an impact on individual ego development, family communication, and readiness for commitment in adult romantic relationships. A systematic literature review method was used in this study to examine the relationship between these three variables. This study conducted a search of the latest literature from journals on family sociology and developmental psychology. The results show that father absence causes identity crises, emotional regulation disorders, and unresponsive family communication. Ultimately, this hinders the formation of stable commitments and increases the risk of unhealthy relationships. These results are reinforced by Ralph Linton's role theory, which states that adult relationship patterns are shaped by imbalances in family social roles. This study supports an integrative conceptual model for psychosocial interventions in fatherless families.

Abstract

Premarital counseling plays an important role in preparing prospective couples to build a harmonious and resilient family life. This study aims to examine the role and effectiveness of premarital counseling in enhancing marriage readiness and supporting the formation of a sakinah, mawaddah, and warahmah family. This study employed a literature review method by analyzing 15 peer-reviewed journal articles indexed in SINTA 3–5 published between 2020 and 2025, focusing on premarital counseling and marriage readiness. The findings indicate that premarital counseling significantly contributes to improving couples’ understanding of marital roles, communication skills, readiness to face conflicts, and the internalization of religious and psychosocial values. These results suggest that premarital counseling plays a strategic role in strengthening marriage readiness and family resilience. Therefore, systematic and continuous implementation of premarital counseling is essential as a preventive effort to reduce marital conflict and divorce while fostering harmonious and resilient family life.

Abstract

The presence of fathers in childrearing is increasingly recognized as a crucial factor in supporting children’s psychological well-being. However, paternal roles are often narrowly understood as economic providers, while emotional, behavioral, and spiritual involvement remains underexplored, particularly within Muslim family contexts. This article aims to examine the role of father presence in parenting and its implications for children’s psychological well-being from an Islamic perspective. The study employs a narrative literature review by analyzing relevant empirical and conceptual studies on father involvement, children’s psychological well-being, and Islamic values in family parenting. The findings indicate that high-quality father involvement contributes positively to children’s emotional regulation, adaptive behavior, and cognitive development. From an Islamic perspective, fathers are positioned as central figures in parenting with moral and spiritual responsibilities that serve as protective factors in fostering children’s psychological resilience. These findings highlight the importance of active and meaningful father involvement in parenting to support children’s psychological well-being holistically.

Abstract

The development of technology-based counseling services has become an important part of modern educational and psychological practices, especially for reaching individuals and families who face limitations in accessing conventional services. However, the adoption and sustainability of digital counseling does not take place in a socially neutral space. This study aims to synthesize empirical evidence regarding the role of family cultural transmission in shaping the meaning, acceptance, and use of technology-based counseling services. The study uses a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach with reference to the PRISMA 2020 guidelines. The search was conducted on the Scopus database for articles published between 2020 and 2026 and focused on the contexts of education and psychology. The selection process resulted in four main studies that were analyzed through narrative synthesis. The results of the study show that families act as agents of transmission of values, norms, and relationship patterns that significantly influence individuals' attitudes toward digital counseling. Family cultural values also shape trust in services, decision-making patterns, and the sustainability of technology-based counseling use. These findings emphasize the importance of integrating sociological and anthropological perspectives in the development and implementation of digital counseling to make it more contextual, inclusive, and relevant to educational and psychological practices in various cultural settings.
