Abstract

Globalization that affects the national education system demands values to shape the character of the younger generation. This study uses a literature study method on five SINTA - indexed journals, it was found the character education in elementary schools is implemented through integrating values in learning, habituation in school culture, extracurricular activities, and Proyek Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5). Although it shows progress, its implementation still faces challenges such as lack of consistency, minimal parental rolee, and limited teacher role models.This study offers an integrative models based on an adaptive and contextual national curriculum.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to establish a theoretical foundation that can be used to address issues related to basic teaching skills associated with learning. To better understand the problem under investigation, the researcher must acquire relevant theories. A literature review method was employed as the research approach. The background, research methods, discussed findings, and conclusions of the articles influenced the researcher’s decision regarding the suitability of the research articles. Articles were sourced from Google Scholar using the keyword “basic teaching skills” within the publication year range of 2020 to 2024. Subsequently, the Literature Review method analyzed five articles with relevant keywords. The findings from these five articles indicate that basic teaching skills encompass various competencies. Quality Learning requires fundamental teaching skills, such as skill in opening and closing lessons, explaining concepts, incorporating variations in teaching, questioning techniques, providing reinforcement, classroom management, teaching small groups and individuals, and guiding small group discussions. The educator’s competence influences student learning. Educators must possess strong classroom management skills to create an effective and engaging learning environment. They should also be capable of ensuring optimal student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine scientific articles on strategies  to enhance elementary school pupils' reading comprehension abilities using the literature review method. The literature discussed  are papers released within the previous five years. (2021-2025) with the keyword “reading skills”, which were retrieved from Google Scholar. Of the 144,000 articles identified  throughout elementary, middle, and high school, sorting was done based on research topics. The analysis showed that the Think, Predict, Read, Connect (TPRC) strategy is the most effective in improving reading skills because it involves critical thinking, prediction, direct reading, and linking the text with personal knowledge, so that students not only read mechanically but also understand the content.

Abstract

Creativity is one of the essential 21st-century skills, especially within the context of the Merdeka Curriculum, which emphasizes student-centered and interest-based learning. However, initial observations at SD Negeri 5 Kota Langsa revealed that fifth-grade students struggled to express original ideas, particularly in Indonesian language lessons. This study aims to develop students' creative imagination through the integration of poetry and folktales as forms of oral literature in Indonesian language learning. This research used a qualitative approach with the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method based on the Kemmis and McTaggart model, implemented in two cycles. The research subjects were 30 fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 5 Kota Langsa. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed an increase in student creativity, indicated by the rise in average scores of imagination, originality of ideas, poem structure, and diction from 2.58 to 4.15. The integration of poetry and folktales created a more engaging, contextual, and meaningful learning experience, and increased student participation. Thus, integrating oral literature into Indonesian language instruction is proven to be effective in fostering the creative imagination of elementary school students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to implement literature discussion in grade 3 of SDN 5 Langsa to improve elementary school students’ speaking skills. Speaking skills are an important component of language acquisition that helps students communicate well. According to previous studies, discussions, especially literature discussions, can improve speaking courage, vocabulary, and sentence structure. In this situation, literature discussion not only introduces students to age-appropriate children’s literature but also encourages them to actively participate in discussions, understand what they read, and express their own opinions. This method strengthens the affective aspect in language learning while creating a fun and meaningful learning atmosphere. Students are encouraged to speak more focused and confidently by combining reading, understanding, and discussing stories. The results of this study indicate that literature discussion can be a useful method to improve elementary school students’ speaking skills more contextually and naturally.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the Project Based Learning Model (PjBL) on the learning outcomes of social studies students in grade V of SDN 106163 Bandar Klippa. The method used in this study is a pseudo-experiment (Quasi Experiment). This study used two sample groups, namely the experimental group with 21 students and the control group with 21 students. The experimental group in this study was a class of students who received learning with the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model, while the control group was a group that used a conventional learning model. The instrument used in this study is in the form of a multiple-choice test that will be tested in a class with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. This can be seen through the acquisition of the average Post-Test score of students in the experimental class is 80.71 with a percentage of 85.71%. Meanwhile, the average Post-Test score of control class students was 71.90 with a percentage of 42.86%. Based on the results of the hypothesis test, a significant value of 0.003 was obtained. In accordance with the hypothesis testing criteria, if sig. (2-tailed) < 0.05 until Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model has an effect on the learning outcomes of social studies of grade V students of SDN 106163 Bandar Klippa, especially in the material Indonesiaku Kaya Hayatinya

Abstract

Kasus pelecehan seksual yang melibatkan tokoh agama menjadi perhatian serius dalam masyarakat. Tokoh agama yang seharusnya menjadi panutan moral dan spiritual justru dalam beberapa kasus terbukti melakukan tindakan yang mencederai martabat kemanusiaan. Fenomena ini tidak hanya merusak citra lembaga keagamaan, tetapi juga menimbulkan trauma mendalam bagi para korban serta menurunkan kepercayaan jamaah terhadap institusi keagamaan. Salah satu penyebab utama lemahnya respons masyarakat terhadap pelecehan seksual oleh tokoh agama adalah kurangnya kesadaran dan pemahaman jamaah tentang bentuk, dampak, serta mekanisme perlindungan terhadap pelecehan seksual. Dalam konteks ini, penyuluhan agama memiliki peran strategis sebagai sarana edukasi dan pencegahan. Penyuluhan yang efektif dapat meningkatkan literasi jamaah mengenai isu kekerasan seksual, membangun keberanian untuk melapor, serta menciptakan lingkungan keagamaan yang aman dan suportif bagi semua pihak. Namun demikian, hingga saat ini masih terbatas kajian yang secara spesifik mengkaji strategi-strategi penyuluhan agama yang mampu menumbuhkan kesadaran jamaah akan bahaya dan realitas pelecehan seksual yang dilakukan oleh figur keagamaan. Oleh karena itu, studi literatur ini penting dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi berbagai pendekatan, metode, dan materi penyuluhan yang terbukti efektif berdasarkan temuan-temuan sebelumnya.

Abstract

The research was carried out with the aim of developing Student Worksheets (LKPD) so as to produce LKPD products based on the index card match learning model for Indonesian class I, describing the feasibility of LKPD based on the index card match learning model for Indonesian class I. This research used the Research and Development method (R&D) using the ADDIE model. In the ADDIE model research, there are 4 stages of research carried out, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The results of this research are that a Student Worksheet (LKPD) product based on the index card match Indonesian language learning model for class I has been produced with an average feasibility score of 91.66% from material experts and in the very feasible category, 86.15% from experts. design and included in the very feasible category, 92% of educational practitioners and included in the very feasible category. So it can be concluded that the Student Worksheet (LKPD) product based on the class I Indonesian index card match learning model is suitable for use as additional teaching material in schools, especially class I.

Abstract

Indonesian has an important role in building effective communication between counselors and clients during the guidance and counseling process. Effective communication not only includes delivering a message clearly but also involves empathy, attention, and understanding of the client's background. The straightforward and easy-to-understand use of Indonesian helps create a comfortable atmosphere for clients, so they are more open in expressing problems. In a multicultural context, Indonesian functions as a unifying tool that minimizes communication obstacles due to regional language differences, creating an inclusive and supportive environment. Additionally, non-verbal communication such as facial expressions, eye contact, and body language strengthens the relationship between counselors and clients. This study uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method to identify the role of Indonesian in counseling. The results of the study show that a combination of effective verbal and non-verbal communication and sensitivity to the client's culture can improve the quality of the counseling process. In conclusion, optimizing the use of Indonesian in counseling is able to support clients to understand themselves, solve problems, and develop their potential to the maximum.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the difficulties faced by teachers in teaching mathematics on multiplication and subtraction downwards in class IVB of SD Negeri 060877 Medan Perjuangan. This study uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, with the principal and fourth-grade teachers as the main informants. The results showed that teachers experienced difficulties due to the heterogeneity of students' abilities, limited learning time, and a lack of available learning media. Students had difficulty understanding the concepts of multiplication and subtraction due to their weak foundation in mathematical operations, lack of understanding of place value, and anxiety towards mathematics. To overcome these difficulties, it is recommended to use concrete teaching aids, more varied learning strategies, and provide additional guidance for students who experience difficulties. It is hoped that these findings will serve as input for improving the quality of mathematics learning in elementary schools.
