Abstract

The issue of the relationship between reason and revelation constitutes a central theme in the epistemology of classical Islamic thought. Al-Farabi, as one of the most prominent Muslim philosophers, sought to synthesize these two domains through a systematic philosophical approach. This study aims to examine the concepts of reason and revelation in Al-Farabi’s thought and to elucidate how their relationship shapes the framework of Islamic epistemology. This research employs a qualitative method with a library-based approach, focusing on Al-Farabi’s primary works and relevant secondary literature. The findings indicate that Al-Farabi regards reason and revelation as two sources of knowledge originating from the same divine source and, therefore, not inherently contradictory. Reason functions as a rational instrument for apprehending truth, while revelation represents divine knowledge received by the prophet through the mediation of the Active Intellect. Al-Farabi’s epistemological framework remains highly relevant for contemporary Islamic thought, particularly in addressing the challenges posed by modernity and the dominance of rationalism.

Abstract

Educational development in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 and Society 5.0 requires the use of varied and innovative learning media, particularly in Biology learning, which involves abstract and complex concepts. This study aimed to identify the variation of learning media used by Biology teachers at SMA Negeri 5 Pekanbaru. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed using questionnaires and interviews involving three Biology teachers. Data were analyzed descriptively and inductively based on indicators of media diversity, frequency of media rotation, suitability of media to material characteristics and student needs, and creativity and sources of learning media.  The results indicated that the use of learning media variation was categorized as good to very good. Teachers utilized a combination of conventional and digital-based media, such as PowerPoint presentations, instructional videos, posters, teaching aids, and laboratory activities. However, digital media use was still dominated by presentations and videos. Therefore, the development of Augmented Reality-based learning media has strong potential to support the visualization of abstract biological concepts in a more concrete and interactive manner.

Abstract

This Inclusive education is an important approach in elementary schools to ensure equal learning opportunities for all students, including those with diverse learning needs. Despite its significance, the implementation of inclusive education in elementary schools still faces various challenges related to instructional practices, teacher readiness, and institutional support. This study aims to examine the implementation of inclusive education in elementary schools based on existing literature. This research employed a literature review method by analyzing scholarly articles, books, and relevant policy documents related to inclusive education at the elementary school level. The literature was selected through systematic searching and screening processes to identify studies that discuss concepts, strategies, challenges, and best practices in implementing inclusive education. The results of the review indicate that the implementation of inclusive education in elementary schools generally involves adaptive teaching strategies, differentiated instruction, collaboration among teachers, and the provision of supportive learning environments. However, several studies highlight persistent obstacles, including limited teacher competence, inadequate facilities, and insufficient professional development programs. In conclusion, the implementation of inclusive education in elementary schools requires comprehensive support from teachers, schools, and policymakers. Strengthening teacher competencies and improving institutional readiness are essential to enhance inclusive educational practices. This literature review contributes to a deeper understanding of inclusive education implementation and provides recommendations for improving inclusive learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

The increasingly advanced development of information technology has changed the way organizations process data, manage information, and determine policies. Management Information Systems (MIS) have become a crucial element because they are able to provide complete, fast, and accurate information for decision-makers. This study aims to illustrate how the process of optimizing MIS can improve the quality of decisions in modern organizations. The study was conducted through literature analysis using a qualitative descriptive approach by reviewing the latest scientific journals and books. The results show that the effectiveness of MIS is greatly influenced by the organization's ability to integrate technology, maintain data quality, utilize advanced analytics, and improve human resource competency. MIS optimization has been proven to accelerate information flow, improve analytical accuracy, and strengthen organizational competitiveness. Overall, a well-managed MIS is an important foundation for organizations to face the challenges of the fast-paced and complex digital era.

Abstract

This article will delve deeper into how Management Information Systems (MIS) can be a key driver of operational performance in the rapidly growing food industry. In today's digital era, the food industry faces significant challenges such as global competition, rapidly changing consumer demands, and the need for continuous product innovation. Therefore, MIS has emerged as a smart solution for integrating all operational aspects, from daily data management to strategic decision-making. This research uses a qualitative approach through literature review from various trusted sources to provide an in-depth analysis of how MIS can improve efficiency, productivity, and operational competitiveness in the food sector. The results are quite interesting: MIS significantly assists in managing accurate and real-time data, integrating production and distribution processes, and even supporting product diversification, making companies more flexible. For example, through an ERP or Office Automation system, MIS can streamline operations and be more responsive to market trends. However, it's not all smooth sailing; challenges arise, such as data security issues that are vulnerable to leaks, resistance from employees unfamiliar with new technologies, and significant implementation costs. To optimize MIS, companies need to address these challenges with human resource training and a well-thought-out integration strategy. In conclusion, effective MIS implementation is crucial for driving future growth in the food industry, especially with the booming digital transformation. This article aims to provide practical insights for food industry players so they can leverage MIS to achieve a greater competitive advantage.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the needs of teachers and students regarding the development of IMTAQ-based e-modules in Biology learning at SMA Negeri 11 Pekanbaru. This study used a mixed methods method with a sequential exploratory design, which began with qualitative data collection through interviews and observations, then continued with quantitative data collection using questionnaires. The research subjects included one Biology teacher and 30 grade XI students. The interview results showed that teachers needed systematic, interactive, and integrated IMTAQ value teaching materials because the learning media used did not fully support the strengthening of spiritual aspects. The results of the student questionnaire showed that all need indicators were in the needed category, including the need for interactive teaching materials (73%), integration of IMTAQ values (69%), student readiness to use digital e-modules (79%), and expectations for IMTAQ-based e-modules (80%). The results of this study indicate that IMTAQ-based e-modules are very relevant to be developed as Biology learning media that support conceptual understanding while fostering students' character values.

Abstract

The development of Internet of Things (IoT) technology has created significant opportunities for the implementation of real-time and integrated vehicle monitoring systems. This study aims to implement an IoT-based data logging simulation to monitor vehicle conditions and activities through an Android-based platform. The developed system utilizes sensors as sources of vehicle data, a microcontroller for data processing, and internet connectivity as the medium for transmitting data to a server. The collected data include vehicle location, speed, and status, which are automatically stored in a database as data logs and displayed through an Android application using an informative and user-friendly interface. The research methodology consists of system requirement analysis, hardware and software architecture design, implementation of the IoT system simulation, and functional testing of the system. The simulation is conducted to ensure that the processes of data acquisition, transmission, storage, and visualization operate according to the designed system workflow. The results indicate that the IoT-based data logging simulation system is capable of performing real-time vehicle monitoring with good data accuracy and stable Android application performance. Furthermore, the system facilitates remote vehicle monitoring and provides historical data records that can be utilized for further analysis. Therefore, the implementation of an IoT-based data logging simulation for vehicle monitoring using Android can serve as an effective and efficient alternative solution to support modern vehicle monitoring systems. This study is expected to serve as a reference for future research on IoT-based vehicle monitoring systems.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the needs of teachers and students regarding the development of interactive multimedia games based on Construct 2 for the digestive system. This study applied a mixed methods approach with a sequential exploratory design. Qualitative data were obtained through structured interviews with 11th-grade biology teachers at SMAN 5 Pekanbaru, while quantitative data were collected through a needs analysis questionnaire administered to 30 students. The results showed that teachers have implemented the Independent Curriculum through the Project-Based Learning model, but still face limitations in utilizing interactive, game-based digital learning media. Meanwhile, students showed a high level of need for interactive multimedia games that are engaging, equipped with feedback features, and able to facilitate visualization of digestive system concepts in a more concrete and enjoyable way. These findings indicate that the development of interactive multimedia games based on Construct 2 software for the digestive system is urgently needed to increase learning engagement, conceptual understanding, and support meaningful learning in accordance with the demands of the Independent Curriculum.

Abstract

The development of information technology (IT) has been a major catalyst in changing the social and economic landscape of the world. This revolution, which began with the era of computerization and continues with artificial intelligence (AI), has brought fundamental changes to work patterns, social structures, and the global economic order. This study aims to analyze how IT transformation affects social and economic dynamics, while examining emerging challenges such as the digital divide, data privacy, and the ethical implications of automation and algorithms. The results of the study show that although IT promotes efficiency and innovation, social sustainability can only be achieved through inclusive policies, digital literacy, and ethical technology governance.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the availability and use of inquiry-based student worksheets (LKPD) in Biology learning at SMAN 5 Pekanbaru. A descriptive quantitative approach supported by qualitative data was applied. The participants consisted of 38 tenth-grade students and one Biology teacher. Data were collected through student perception questionnaires, short-answer tests, interviews, and worksheet documentation. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and qualitative analysis. The results indicate that LKPD availability is categorized as good; however, the implementation of inquiry principles remains limited. The worksheets tend to be conventional and are mainly used as supporting learning materials. Therefore, the development of more structured inquiry-based worksheets is needed to support student-centered Biology learning.
