Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan peta kompetensi Guru Biologi SMA berdasarkan analisis kesesuaian pembelajaran di kelas dengan tuntutan Kompetensi Dasar (KD). Penelitian dilaksanakan di tujuh SMA Negeri di Kota Bandung yang termasuk cluster 1 sampai 3, masing-masing diwakili oleh 2-3 SMA yang ditentukan secara random. Setiap SMA melibatkan 1-2 guru biologi. Observasi proses pembelajaran di kelas dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik video. Observasi pembelajaran difokuskan pada dua materi ajar, yaitu Plantae dan Sistem Ekskresi. Data dikumpulkan melalui instrumen yang dikembangkan berdasarkan judgment pakar terhadap hasil analisis KD yang meliputi tiga aspek, yaitu materi ajar, strategi pembelajaran (metode dan media pembelajaran), dan strategi evaluasi. Data diolah dengan menghitung persentase (%) kesesuaian, kemudian merata-ratakannya untuk setiap aspek pembelajaran yang diamati. Angka rata-rata yang diperoleh dianalogikan sebagai besaran kompetensi (kemampuan) guru pada setiap aspek pengamatan. Hasil pemetaan kompetensi menunjukkan bahwa guru telah mampu mengembangkan materi ajar hingga 68-83% kesesuaian, merancang dan melaksanakan strategi pembelajaran di kelas hingga 50-57% kesesuaian, dan mengembangkan instrumen evaluasi hingga 33-73% kesesuaian. Kemampuan terendah berada pada pengembangan instrumen evaluasi sesuai jenjang kognitif yang dituntut KD, yaitu sebesar 33% kesesuaian. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa keberfungsian perencanaan Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) dalam pelaksananaan pembelajaran masih rendah, yaitu di bawah 49% kesesuaian.Kata kunci: kompetensi dasar, pembelajaran biologi, peta kompetensi guru biologi

Abstract

Productive pedagogies describe the ability of an educator in implementing learning process. This ability should be owned by prospective teacher students in order to improve teacher professionalism in the future. This research was conducted to obtain an overview of productive pedagogies for students of biology education study programs. Productive pedagogies are measured based on three dimensions, namely intellectual quality, relevance, and mastery of the classroom environment for prospective teacher students who carry out teaching practices in the sixth semester of the microteaching lecture T.A 2018/2019. This research is a descriptive study conducted in January-May 2019. The assessment of productive pedagogies was measured by using a 5-point Likert scale questionnaire. Data acquisition was analyzed by converting low to very high values. Based on the overall dimensions measured through the questionnaire, the lowest average was found on the relevance dimension of 82.4 and the highest in the dimensions of intellectual quality was 84.95 with a very good category. The results showed that 74% of prospective teacher students argued that productive pedagogies were in the very high category.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of getting an overview of students' attitudes towards the environment at the 13th Junior High School and the 34th Junior High School in Pekanbaru which have received the National Adiwiyata award. The method used in this study is a survey, data collection is done using observation, questionnaires, and interviews. The subjects in this study were class VIII students. 13th Junior High School with a sample of 180 students, and 34 SMP with a sample of 96 students. Each school gets a different presentation. Based on the results of the research from the observation sheet and questionnaire, obtained the average results, namely for Pekanbaru SMPN 13 with an average observation of 77.92% and in the student questionnaire with an average yield of 84.93%. While at 34 Public Schools with an average observation of 77.11% and in student questionnaires with an average yield of 83.87 %%. It can be concluded that the SMP 13 and SMP 34 Pekanbaru have criteria that are very concerned about the environment.

Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa keberfungsian perencanaan Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) dalam pelaksananaan pembelajaran masih rendah, yaitu di bawah 49% kesesuaian.ABSTRACTThe study aimed to develop biology teachers’ competency map based on appropriateness analysis of classroom teaching processes with the demand of the basic competency. This study was conducted in seven public senior high schools belong to 1–3 school clusters in Bandung district. Each school cluster was randomly represented by 2 or 3 schools and each school involved 1 or 2 teachers. Classroom teaching processes were observed thoroughly via video technique. Observation was focused on two subjects, Plantae and Excretion System. Data was gathered using instruments developed based on expert judgment on the output analysis of basic competency (KD) for three aspects: teaching subject, teaching strategy (method and media), and evaluation strategy. Data was then analyzed through percentile calculation on each teaching aspect, in which it was subsequently converted to a percentage of appropriateness average. The average of those percentages was analogized as a value of teacher competency. Results suggested that the teachers were able to develop teaching subject until 68-83% of appropriateness, able to design and to implement teaching strategy until 50-57% of appropriateness, and able to develop evaluation instruments until 33-73% of appropriateness. The lowest ability of the teacher was to develop evaluation instrument which in line with cognitive level demanded by KD. The study also showed that the functional value of the teaching planning in the implementation of teaching in the classroom was lower than 49% of appropriateness.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of Extranous Cognitive Load (ECL) of students through mental effort in learning activities. Mental effort can be known and analyzed from external or foreign aspects, such as learning design and learning strategies undertaken. The source of the burden obtained in the learning process is known as ECL. The effectiveness of ECL is influenced by information and learning activities that contribute to the process of constructing students' cognitive schemes in learning process received. Good learning process happen if the ECL owned by student is in low category. ECL is measured by the mental effort of students in attending lecture activities. This research is a descriptive study, which was carried out on the fourth semester students of biology education who took part in the ethics and professional education classes. ECL measurements were measured using a mental effort questionnaire during the lecture. The data acquired is analyzed on the conversion of values in the low to high categories. The results showed that in the lecturing activities the student’s mental effort average was in the low category at 32.45. A low mental effort represents a low extranous cognitive load (ECL). It can be concluded that the learning strategies carried out in the ethics and education professional lectures can suppress ECL biology education students.

Abstract

The evaluation instrument in measuring of student ability must be appropriate with the basic competence, so that the expected competence can be achieved. This research is seen from the conformity of evaluation instrument material aspect with the material presented by teacher during the learning process in the classroom. The method that used in this research is descriptive method. The research’s subject were ten biology teachers, from seven SMAN in Bandung as a sample, each school representing tree clusters. The selection of the sample is done by using “startified sampling” technique, that is by choosing school with high category, medium and low. The basic competence analyzed is the material of excretion system class XI. The date were obtained by observation, documentation study and questionnaire. Conformity of evaluation instrument material with indicator in RPP that is 82,38%. While the conformity of evaluation instrument material with the material contained in the basic competence is 72,30%. While the conformity of evaluation instrument material with the material who presented by teacher during the learning process in the clasroom is 79,83%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the learning outcomes of biology of 41 students on 8th grade Islamic junior high school in Pekanbaru after the implementation of collaborative learning by using images media. Data collection instruments were used to measure improvement of learning outcomes that consist of post test, task, psychomotor, affective and exam blocks. This research was classroom action research. Based on the data that has been analyzed descriptively can be seen that the completeness of individuals on the cycle I, there were 37 students (90.24%) complete and 4 students (9.76%) were incomplete. Student learning outcomes in cycle II average of 81.83% absorption rate increased by 7.47% from the average value of absorption in cycle I. The completeness of individuals on the cycle II there were 40 students (97.56%) complete individually and 1 student (2.44%) was incomplete.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar biologi 41 siswa kelas VIII SMP Islam YLPI Pekanbaru setelah diterapkannya pembelajaran kolaboratif dengan menggunakan media gambar. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan untuk mengukur peningkatan hasil belajar siswa yaitu post tes, tugas, psikomotorik, afektif dan soal ujian blok. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Berdasarkan hasil data yang telah dianalisis secara diskriptif dapat dilihat bahwa ketuntasan individu pada penilaian siklus I yaitu 37 orang siswa (90,24%) dinyatakan tuntas dan 4 orang siswa (9,76%) dinyatakan tidak tuntas. Hasil belajar siswa pada siklus 2 rata-rata daya serapnya sebesar 81,83% meningkat sebesar 7,47% dari rata-rata nilai daya serap pada siklus I. Ketuntasan individu pada penilaian siklus II terdapat 40 orang siswa (97,56%) dinyatakan tuntas secara individual dan 1 orang siswa (2,44%) dinyatakan tidak tuntas.Kata Kunci: hasil belajar, media gambar, pembelajaran kolaboratif

Abstract

Evaluation instrument for measuring the ability of the students must be in accordance with the basic competencies, so that the competencies expected to be achieved. This study from the aspect of material suitability evaluation instruments with the material submitted by teachers during the learning process in the classroom. The method used in this research was descriptive method. Subjects were six biology teachers of the seven high schools in Bandung as samples, each school representing the three clusters. Selection of the samples was conducted using stratified sampling technique, by selecting the category of schools with high, medium and low. Basic competencies were analyzed Plantae material of X grade. The data obtained by observation, documentation and questionnaire study. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis Higher Order Thinking Skills siswa kelas XI SMAN Plus Prov. Riau  dalam menyelesaikan masalah pada soal ulangan harian materi sistem pernapasan. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada tanggal 16 sampai tanggal 23 April 2019. Metode penelitian ini adalah deskriptif. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data  adalah soal Higher Order Thinking Skills pada materi sistem pernapasan dengan kategori C4  (Menganalisis), C5( Mengevaluasi), C6( mencipta) yang dibuat berdasarkan Taksonomi Bloom revisi dan wawancara. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI SMAN Plus Prov. Riau sebanyak 99 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Higher Order Thinking Skills siswa kelas XI  SMAN Plus Prov.Riau dalam kategori sangat rendah dengan persentase 50,74%. 68,29%, siswa mampu menjawab soal C4 sedangkan untuk soal C5 dan C6 masing-masing sebanyak 33,56% dan 50,37%. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa siswa SMAN Plus Prov. Riau Tahun ajaran 2018/2019 memiliki Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) dalam kategori sangat rendah.Kata Kunci : Higher Order Thinking Skills, Hasil Belajar, Sistem pernapasan
