Abstract

The Small Group Discussion method or group discussion method in research is an alternative method used by teachers in class, aimed at solving a problem based on the opinions of students. While learning Islamic religious education is a teaching and learning process in Islamic religious education which includes religious elements such as aqidah, morals, jurisprudence, the Koran, hadith and the history of Islamic culture to shape the personality of students so that they become individuals who have good morals in accordance with Islamic religious goals, the more the better the discussion method used in Islamic religious education subjects, the better the results achieved by students, conversely if the discussion method is carried out in Islamic religious learning, the results achieved will not be optimal or inadequate. greatly determines the quality of learning, because accuracy in selecting learning strategies can support the success of learning activities so that it will increase student achievement. So far, PAI learning used at SMKN 2 Tenggarong is conventional learning, teachers also don't really understand learning strategies, for example small group discussions in this lesson so that many students pay less attention to the lessons being delivered. The method used in this research is the experimental method. The findings of this study are that the use of active learning strategies Small Group Discussion is effective in increasing learning achievement in Islamic religious education.

Abstract

Islamic epistemology places reason as a source of knowledge, alongside revelation. However, until now Muslims still have different views regarding the relationship between reason and revelation, especially regarding the function of reason. So it is important for the Islamic ummah to formulate a holistic epistemological conception and combine the two. Ibn Khaldun is a Muslim philosopher who has an epistemological conception, which explains the potential of reason and its position alongside revelation. This article aims to understand Ibn Khaldun's conception of reason, its potential in the acquisition of knowledge, and its existence in Islamic epistelogy. The study uses qualitative descriptive analysis through literary methods, by tracing Ibn Khaldun's thoughts from the Muqaddimah as a primary source, and other relevant books. The study results showed that the mind plays an important role in acquiring knowledge. Intellect is the potential to understand everything, acquire and develop knowledge. Science is the human ability to make analysis and synthesis as a result of the thinking process (af`idah). The thinking process takes place based on levels, which are divided into three: `aql tamyizi, `aql tajribi, and `aql nadhari. Based on that, science is divided into two categories: naqliyyah and aqliyyah science. Ibn Khaldun's conception of science is integral and relevant to the current situation of Muslims, especially in the context of Islamic education and the challenges of scientific development.

Abstract

Moral education in schools is very important in forming the character of the younger generation who have morals and integrity. Building morals includes developing good values, with the aim of creating intelligent, emotional and spiritual individuals. Teachers and parents have a crucial role in this process. Islamic education in schools provides a strong framework for moral formation through a values-based curriculum, character education, and a supportive environment. It is hoped that these strategies will be able to form a generation that not only excels academically, but also has noble morals, which are the main pillars in building a harmonious and prosperous society.

Abstract

This article discusses the importance of Islamic education in shaping the character and noble character of students. Islamic education, with its holistic approach, focuses not only on academic aspects, but also on spiritual and moral development. The article highlights how Islamic education can create a generation with noble character through the application of inspiring learning methods, consistent character building, and the important role of educators who serve as role models. In addition, the article emphasizes the importance of cooperation between family, school and community in supporting this educational process. With a comprehensive approach, Islamic education is expected to produce individuals who are intellectually intelligent and have high moral awareness, so that they are able to face the challenges of the times and contribute positively to society.

Abstract

The doctrine of essentialism, one of the traditional schools of educational philosophy, states that values in education must be based on distinct and enduring values in order for education in a country to remain stable and purposeful. The purpose of this research is to examine the implications of the philosophy of essentialism education in character education. The research method used is a literature study based on content analysis. The results show that the purpose of essentialism education philosophy is to improve the character of society through the cultural heritage that still exists, so that students in the future can contribute to the improvement of people's lives in the face of changing times that can erode students' morals. In addition, the philosophy of essentialism aims to create a happy person in this world and the hereafter by instilling virtuous values (morals, manners, and morals) to students because schools, teachers, and students are the key to building a developed nation and play an important role in character development in the school environment and society. This article seeks to conceptualize the goal of essentialism, which is to form a happy person in this world and the hereafter, through character development and the importance of the role of teachers in the formation of student character in schools and society.

Abstract

Kurikulum Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) memiliki karakteristik khusus yang mempengaruhi pendekatan pembelajaran yang digunakan dalam konteksnya. Sifat-sifat tersebut meliputi universalitas, relevansi dengan kehidupan, integrasi, kontekstualitas, dan keterbukaan. Pendekatan pembelajaran PAI mencakup berbagai metode, termasuk pembelajaran kooperatif, pembelajaran kontekstual, dan pendekatan ilmiah. Pendekatan ini bertujuan untuk menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang mendalam, inklusif, serta memungkinkan siswa untuk memahami nilai-nilai Islam secara holistik, dan menerapkan pemahaman tersebut dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Dengan memahami karakteristik kurikulum PAI dan pendekatan pembelajaran yang tepat, guru PAI dapat menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang bermakna bagi siswa dalam memahami dan mengamalkan ajaran Islam. Pendekatan pembelajaran PAI mengadopsi strategi konstruktivis, kontekstual, dan aktif, dengan melibatkan siswa secara interaktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Pendekatan ini tidak hanya menekankan pengajaran konsep-konsep agama, tetapi juga mendorong keterlibatan siswa dalam pembelajaran berbasis masalah dan integratif. Evaluasi formatif digunakan untuk memberikan umpan balik terus-menerus kepada siswa, sementara integrasi mata pelajaran lain memperkuat keterkaitan antar bidang studi. Secara keseluruhan, sifat-sifat kurikulum PAI dan pendekatan pembelajaran PAI bersama-sama membentuk landasan yang komprehensif untuk perkembangan spiritual, moral, dan sosial siswa dalam konteks pendidikan Islam.

Abstract

One of the most widely used teaching methods in the teaching and learning process is lecture, which is carried out by providing subject matter to students in an expressive or exclusive manner to achieve perfect learning objectives. In this day and age, the selection of learning strategies is more modern, learning strategies are combined with the use of technology so that they are more sophisticated and interesting. In this study, the author wants to analyze how effective the lecture method can be applied, whether it is still effective and efficient as it used to be or vice versa. Researchers use direct interview methods to get more accurate and relevant information about how effective the cerama method is as a learning strategy.

Abstract

Classroom Action Research (CAR) is a strategic approach that helps teachers improve the quality of learning through a cycle of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. This article aims to explore the significance of Classroom Action Research (CAR) for teachers in the learning process at SMPN 8 Tenggarong, focusing on benefits, challenges, and optimization strategies. The research uses a descriptive qualitative method with literature review as the main approach. The study results indicate that PTK has a positive impact, such as improving teachers' pedagogical skills, encouraging learning innovations, and enhancing students' learning outcomes. However, the main challenges faced include time constraints, high administrative burdens, and a lack of training on the implementation of PTK. To overcome these challenges, strategies such as intensive training, collaboration among teachers, and administrative support from the school are needed. In conclusion, PTK has significant importance in improving the quality of learning and the professionalism of teachers at SMPN 8 Tenggarong. With the optimization of PTK implementation, it is hoped that learning will become more effective, innovative, and relevant to students' needs.

Abstract

Numerous societal issues impact not only our financial circumstances but also our moral fiber and manner of living. The nation's identity and self-confidence have declined, and we still have a ways to go before we reach our lowest point as a religious, amiable, morally pure people. Furthermore, as a consequence of their behavior, student morale is declining. The most crucial factors influencing the caliber of human resources are the traits and ideals acquired from a great education. However, a number of groups have worked to raise society's standards of morality and ethics. There is only one Islamic learning institution there. Regretfully, Islamic instructors must come before morality and personality in society.

Abstract

Nowadays, incorporating technology into education, including PAI, has become a necessity. This study examines the application of technology-based learning in children's education (PAI) in the digital era. Through literature review and case studies, this study identifies the challenges and opportunities that arise with the application of this PAI. The results of the study show that technology has increased students' access to learning resources and increased their motivation to learn. However, challenges such as digital inequality, lack of teachers' ability to use technology, and lack of adequate infrastructure still need to be addressed. The purpose of this research is to create an effective technology-based learning model for Islamic religious education. This model combines [the components of the model, such as face-to-face learning, e-learning, and project-based learning]. Using [research methods], this study tests the feasibility and effectiveness of the model. The results of the study show that [e.g., the model created can improve students' understanding of the concept of religion]. This study helps develop innovative learning models that are in accordance with the requirements of Islamic religious education in the digital era.
