Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify the level of self-acceptance and body image of high school students and to identify the effect of self-acceptance on students' body image. This study used quantitative descriptive correlation research with subjects of class X students of SMA Stella Duce 1 Yogyakarta. The sample in this study was 173 students. The analysis techniques in this study included categorization, validity test, reliability test, normality test, linearity test and linear regression hypothesis test. Data collection used a body image and self-acceptance scale. On the body image scale there were 22 valid items and on the self-acceptance scale there were 25 valid items. The results of the reliability test on the body image and self-acceptance scales obtained an Alpha Cronbach reliability index of 0.891. Hypothesis testing in this study used ANOVA linear regression. Based from research, there is a significant relationship between self-acceptance and student’s body image because the magnitude of the correlation value (R) is 0.634 with a significance level of 0.001b. The level of significance is 0.001b < 0.05, which indicates that there is an influence between the body image variable and the self-acceptance variable in high school students.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the contribution of reality counseling in overcoming the behavior of misfit individuals in adolescence. The focus of this study is to analyze the extent to which the reality counseling approach can assist adolescents in changing their behavior in a more positive and adaptive direction. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The results showed that reality counseling contributed to improving adolescents' self-awareness, emotion management, interpersonal skills, and responsibility for their actions. In addition, this approach helps adolescents build healthier social relationships, increase academic motivation, and develop the ability to overcome challenges independently. The relevance of reality counseling to the underlying theory is reflected in the application of the principles of behavior evaluation and concrete step planning through the WDEP framework. This process not only helps adolescents achieve short-term changes but also provides skills and mindsets that support their future development.

Abstract

The high academic pressure experienced by final-year students during the thesis writing process often triggers stress that affects their mental health and academic performance. Accordingly, emotion regulation strategies become a crucial aspect that needs to be understood so that students can manage stress adaptively. This study aims to identify the forms of stress experienced and the emotion regulation strategies used by final-year students in the Department of Educational Sciences at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Lampung. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Participants were selected from 15 students based on the results of the Student Academic Stress Scale, and the five with the highest stress scores (above 75/100) became the main participants. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and analyzed using ATLAS.ti 9. The research results show that students face various forms of stress, such as academic, emotional, social, and time-related stress. In coping with that stress, students apply five emotion regulation strategies: situation modification, cognitive change, selective attention, response modulation, and situation selection. The most dominant strategy is situation modification (24.24%), such as setting deadlines, creating a conducive learning environment, and taking breaks. Other strategies, such as cognitive restructuring and selective attention, are also used to shift focus away from stressors. On the other hand, situation selection strategies (16.66%) are rarely used. These findings indicate that students tend to use an individual and active approach in managing their emotions, emphasizing the importance of understanding emotion regulation strategies to effectively cope with academic pressure.

In addition, the effect of conformity will be greater if the presence of decision making as a moderator with a sig value of 0.002, while in peer pressure it will be greater if the presence of decision making as a moderator with a sig value of 0.000. Abstract

The Family Hope Program (FHP) is a conditional social assistance initiative aimed at improving the welfare of underprivileged families, particularly through Family Capacity Enhancement Meetings (FCEM). In Cisempur Village, FCEM faces significant challenges in transforming the mindset and economic behavior of Beneficiary Families (BF). This study analyzes the implementation of FCEM in changing BF’s mindset and economic behavior, focusing on mentoring strategies through the Islamic Counseling Guidance (ICG) approach. The research uses a mini-ethnography method with participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The findings show that integrating ICG values, such as effort (ikhtiar), trust in God (tawakal), and social responsibility, enhances the spiritual awareness and economic skills of BF. However, sustaining the program’s impact remains a challenge, and it is recommended to develop educational methods based on Islamic values to reinforce long-term outcomes.

Abstract

Academic burnout is a common psychological condition experienced by students, especially in study programs with high practical workloads such as Agribusiness. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of green therapy as an effort to prevent burnout through nature activities. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the intervention was carried out for four weeks on 12 Agribusiness students who showed symptoms of burnout based on the Maslach Burnout Inventory–Student Survey (MBI-SS) scale. Green therapy activities include soil cultivation, planting, plant care, self-reflection, and symbolic harvesting. The results showed a significant decrease in the three main indicators of burnout, namely emotional exhaustion, cynicism, and low academic efficacy. The average burnout score decreased from 4.2 to 2.8 after the intervention. In-depth interviews also revealed that gardening activities increased calmness, a sense of connectedness to nature, and self-awareness of participants. Green therapy has been proven to be an effective natural method in reducing academic burnout and is worthy of being integrated into practice-based learning activities in agribusiness higher education.
