Abstract

Generation Z is currently under threat from the negative impact of technological developments in the form of Phubbing Behavior, therefore the Phubbing phenomenon must immediately receive serious attention and look for what factors cause the Phubbing behavior, this is important to do because the Phubbing Phenomenon has we can see it anywhere, especially in the school environment. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of students' Phubbing Behavior and its causal factors based on gender and grade level. This research uses a type of quantitative descriptive research. the number of respondents in this study totaled 173 male and female students with grade levels 10, 11 and 12. The data collection was carried out through the Phubbing Behavior scale based on the theory and aspects described by Karadag and using the Generic Scale of Phubbing (GSP) scale developed by Chotpitayasunondh and Douglas. A descriptive analysis was then carried out. The results obtained from this study are that the level of Phubbing behavior of students at SMK Bina Profesi Pekanbaru is in the moderate category, then the factors that cause Phubbing behavior in male students are the Nomophobia factor while in female students are the interpersonal conflict factors and the factors that cause Phubbing behavior. based on class level, namely the Interpersonal Conflict factor in grades 10 and 11, and the Nomophobia factor in grade 12. The results of this study can help guidance and counseling teachers in providing treatment to students both in the form of Guidance and Counseling

Abstract

Assesmen dan evaluasi merupakan kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh guru BK tidak maksimal, namun hanya sedikit Guru BK yang melakukan penilaian tetapi tidak melaksanakannya secara tuntas, antara lain karena penggunaan metode konvensional dalam pengelolaan metode yang menyita waktu dan tenaga. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah untuk memberikan pemahaman dan pengalaman tentang peningkatan keterampilan Guru BK didalam melakukan need assessment online ketika akan membuat program Tahunan. Kondisi yang didapati dilapangan (1) masih ada beberapa Guru BK yang belum menggunakan need assement online ketika membuat Program Layanan BK.(2) masih kurangnya menggunakan google form didalam melakukan need assement terhadap sisw. Metode kegitan dilaksanakan dengan metode ceramah, diskusi dan praktek menyusun instrument denga menggunakan google form. Pelaksanaan kegiatan dimlai dari persiapan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi kegiatan yang diikuti guru BK yang tergabung dalam MGBK Kota dumai dan PC ABKIN Kota Dumai. Hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan adalah pengabdian ini sebagian besar guru-guru BK dapat melaksanakan memahami dan menyusun/merancang pelaksanaan layanan bimbingan dan konseling lebih cepat dan mudah ketika akan mengimplementasikan dalam program BK. sehingga lebih hemat waktu dan meningkatkan efisensi layanan baik dari segi waktu, kemudakan melakukan dan agar lebih cepat menganalisa sehingga program yang dihasilkan lebih cepat ketika akan mengimplementasikan

Abstract

Basically, Community Service (KKN) is a form of real service from students to the community after receiving lecture material that can always be useful in the community itself. Community service is an effort to disseminate knowledge, technology and art to the community. The Sawah Village community is a community that has various tribes and cultures with the majority being the Ocu Malay Tribe. The life of the community in Sawah Village is harmonious and peaceful even though there are differences in tribes. The form of service of the MBKM University of Riau 2024 Sawah Village KKN Group conducts teaching at schools in Sawah Village as an effort to improve the quality of education by bringing new innovations in teaching.

Abstract

Academic Burnout is a problem experienced by students that causes a lack of motivation in learning and school activities. The high demands of school learning activities make students feel bored and physically exhausted. This occurs because the learning process has pushed students to their psychological and physical limits. Academic Burnout is a personal issue that must be addressed through the implementation of guidance and counseling services in schools. These services can be provided through individual or group counseling strategies. One group approach that is appealing to elementary school students is Art Therapy. Art Therapy is a therapeutic activity that uses the creative process as an expressive therapy for clients. This community service activity will be conducted in a two-day workshop on July 20-21, 2024, with expert faculty members as speakers. The workshop will take place from 08:00 AM to 03:00 PM WIB and will be held in Kerinci Kanan District, Siak Regency, Riau Province. The training will be guided by instructors, with participants receiving direct guidance in designing guidance and counseling services aligned with the new curriculum paradigm, enabling guidance counselors to develop skills to address students' academic Burnout using Art Therapy. The level of program goal achievement is categorized as high, at 90%. This can be seen from the participants' understanding of the stages of implementing Group Counseling with Art Therapy techniques, with teachers showing great interest in practicing the Art Therapy techniques in each session.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of cognitive restructuring through group guidance in enhancing students' self-confidence levels. This research investigates the impact of cognitive restructuring through group guidance on enhancing students' self-confidence. The study employed a quasi-experimental design involving a pre-test and post-test assessment to measure changes in self-confidence levels. The participants were eight high school students categorized as having low self-confidence. The intervention involved a six-week group guidance program focusing on cognitive restructuring techniques. The results demonstrated a significant positive correlation between pre-test and post-test self-confidence scores, indicating the intervention's effectiveness in improving self-confidence. The findings highlight the importance of cognitive restructuring as a valuable approach for addressing low self-confidence among students. While the intervention played a pivotal role, it's essential to acknowledge the influence of other internal and external factors in shaping self-confidence.

Abstract

Culture influences every aspect of human life, including counseling practices. Cultural differences between counselors and clients can present challenges when counselors interpret clients' behavior through the lens of different cultural backgrounds. In the context of Indonesia, Western counseling theories are often used as references, although these cultural values do not always align with local wisdom. This study aims to explore the application of Malay culture as a model for effective counselor personality within a multicultural perspective. The research employs a literature review method by analyzing various sources related to counseling theories, Malay cultural values, and counselor competencies. The findings highlight that Malay-based counselors emphasize spirituality, knowledge, modesty, goodwill, and compassion. These values are rooted in tradition and local wisdom, prioritizing social relationships and human interconnectedness. An effective counselor not only possesses technical competence but also demonstrates empathy, patience, and high moral integrity. The results of this study emphasize the importance of developing a counseling model aligned with Indonesia’s local culture to make counseling services more relevant and effective. Malay culture, particularly in Riau Province, can serve as a reference in formulating an effective counselor’s personality. Adapting counseling approaches to local cultures is expected to enhance the quality and effectiveness of counseling services.

Abstract

Crisis is a situation filled with tension that can affect an individual's physical, emotional, and psychological condition. One of the world's biggest mental health challenges is depression, which affects many individuals. In the context of a crisis, crisis counseling plays a crucial role in providing psychological support and helping individuals manage feelings of panic and uncertainty. This study aims to examine the application of play therapy in crisis counseling. The method used is a literature review, analyzing various sources of literature discussing the implementation of play therapy in crisis counseling. The results of the analysis show that play therapy, through its procedures of therapy planning, implementation, and evaluation, can be an effective approach in psychological intervention for children experiencing trauma due to crises. Routine evaluation is recommended to ensure the effectiveness of the therapy, and further research is needed to explore its application in various types of crises faced by children.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi telah berkembang sangat pesat di seluruh dunia termasuk di Indonesia. Perkembangan ini membawa perubahan yang signifikan dalam mengakses atau menerima informasi. Hal ini membuat remaja mengetahui isu-isu sosial yang ada di pemberitaan, seperti LGBT. Pemberitaan tentang LGBT sering kali menimbulkan pro dan kontra di masyarakat, sehingga penting untuk memahami sikap remaja sebagai generasi penerus, dalam menanggapi isu ini. Penelitian yang berjudul “Sikap Remaja Terhadap Pemberitaan LGBT Serta Implikasinya Terhadap Layanan Bimbingan Dan Konseling”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sikap remaja terhadap pemberitaan LGBT ditinjau dari komponen kognitif, afektif, konatif, serta implikasinya dalam layanan bimbingan konseling. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif menggunakan metode survey. Populasi penelitian yaitu siswa kelas XI SMAN 6 Pekanbaru, dengan pengambilan sampel menggunakan simple random sampling dan dihitung rumus slovin yang didapatkan 184 responden. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan skala sikap yang telah uji validitas dan reliabilitas dengan bantuan computer program SPSS Version 26 For Windows. Adapun pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan Teknik skala sikap, yang selanjutnya di analisis deskriptif dan persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, responden yakin bahwa hak-hak LGBT tidak seharusnya untuk diakui, karena bertentangan dengan nilai agama dan sosial pada pemberitaan LGBT. Selanjutnya, responden merasa kesal terhadap pemberitaan yang menyuarakan hak-hak LGBT. Berikutnya, menunjukkan responden tidak tertarik untuk membela kelompok yang berkaitan dengan pemberitaan LGBT yang diberikan. Sikap remaja terhadap pemberitaan LGBT secara keseluruhan, menunjukkan bahwa responden tidak mendukung terhadap pemberitaan LGBT melalui media apapun. Terakhir, Implikasi sikap remaja terhadap pemberitaan LGBT dapat diberikan dengan layanan bimbingan konseling, seperti bimbingan klasikal, kelas besar dan bimbingan kelompok

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan agar peserta dapat menyelenggarakan dinamika kelompok dalam program Bimbingan dan Konseling bagi siswa di Sekolah Dasar. Bimbingan dan Konseling ini dapat membantu menyelesaikan atau mencegah permasalahan pada siswa di sekolah maupun dalam keluarga. Adapun metode penerapan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah ceramah, demontrasi dan latihan sederhana dalam menerapkan dinamika kelompok dalam program bimbingan dan konseling yang dilakukan oleh guru Sekolah Dasar bagi siswa di sekolah. Sasaran kegiatan pelatihan dalam mengiplementasikan program bimbingan dan konseling melalui dinamika kelompok ini adalah para guru pendidikan Sekolah Dasar di Kecamatan Kerinci Kanan. Sistematika rencana kegiatan (a) guru pendidikan Sekolah Dasar memahami konsep dasar bimbingan dan konseling, (b) konsep dasar dinamika kelompok di Sekolah Dasar, (c) Praktik sederhana pelaksanaan program bimbingan dan konseling (jenis-jenis pelayanan BK) yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan siswa di sekolah dasar (d) Diskusi dan tanya jawab untuk membahas dan menjelaskan hal-hal yang kurang dipahami oleh peserta sebagai umpan balik bagi pelatih

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “konseling kelompok dengan Teknik Relaksasi Afirmasi dalam Mengurangi Academic Burnout di SMAN 9 Pekanbaru”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran Academic Burnout siswa sebelum dan sesudah diberikan layanan konseling kelompok dengan Teknik Relaksasi Afirmasi, mengetahui perbedaan sebelum dan sesudah dilakukannya layanan konseling kelompok dengan Teknik Relaksasi Afirmasi serta untuk dapat mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh layanan konseling kelompok dengan pendekatan Teknik Relaksasi Afirmasi terhadap Academic Burnout siswa.Penelitian ini bersifat kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian eksperimen, menggunakan metode pre-eksperiment design. Design penelitiannya adalah One Group Pretest – Posttest design. Jenis statistik yang digunakan adalah statistic non-parametric dengan analisis data memakai uji Wilcoxon dengan perhitungan menggunakan program SPSS versi 27. Berdasarkan data “Test Statistic”, dapat dilihat bahwa Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) adalah 0,005. Karena nilai 0,012 0,05, maka Ha diterima. Artinya terdapat perbedaan antara tingkat Academic Burnout pada siswa sebelum dan sesudah diberikan layanan konseling kelompok dengan Teknik Relaksasi Afirmasi. Dari hasil olahan data uji N-Gain, hasil perhitungan rata-rata pretest dan posttest pada kelompok eksperimen memperoleh mean (87,25 57,75) terdapat penurunan karena hasil posttest lebih kecil daripada hasil pretest yang diperoleh sebelum diberikan perlakuan konseling kelompok. Dengan perolehan Gain Score sebesar 0,51 artinya besar pengaruh konseling kelompok Teknik Relaksasi Afirmasi terhadap Academic Burnout adalah kategori sedang. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa konseling kelompok dengan Teknik Relaksasi Afirmasi berpengaruh untuk menurunkan tingkat Academic Burnout siswa.
