Abstract

Quality education must start from the basic level, one of which is in the content of science. Science learning will obtain good learning outcomes if students are involved in all learning activities carried out. The reality that occurs shows different things because learning in the classroom is one-way, students are not given the opportunity to develop knowledge and understanding of science concepts, students' curiosity is low, learning is monotonous and boring because they use less varied learning models. The purpose of this study is to describe teacher activities, analyze student activities and student learning outcomes using Problem Based Learning models, Team Games Tournament and experimental methods. This study uses a type of classroom action research that was carried out 4 times with a total of 28 students in class V of SDN Kelayan Dalam 7 Banjarmasin. The results of the study prove that there is an increase in each meeting, namely teacher activities obtaining a score of 36 with the "very good" criterion, student activities obtaining the "All Students Very Active" criterion with a percentage of 100% and improving student learning outcomes individually and classically. This shows that the Problem Based Learning model, Team Games Tournament and experimental methods can improve student activities and learning outcomes.

Abstract

Parental support has a significant impact on children's learning achievement and character formation. This research examines various aspects of parental support, from improving academic outcomes to developing children's social and emotional skills. Results show that parental involvement in children's education, both emotionally and financially, contributes to children's positive attitudes towards learning and reduces the risk of dropping out of school. Apart from that, parental support also plays an important role in developing moral values, empathy, independence and emotional management, which shape the child's overall character. However, many parents face challenges, such as time constraints, economic pressures, and lack of knowledge, which can hinder their ability to provide optimal support. Therefore, it is important for parents to seek sources of support and information to increase their role in their child's education. This research emphasizes the need for collaboration between parents, schools and the community to support children's development optimally.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of environmental care character at SD Negeri 2 Jatipuro Trucuk Klaten through various activities that support awareness and responsibility for environmental cleanliness. A descriptive qualitative approach was used in this study, with data obtained through interviews and observations. The results showed that activities such as Clean Friday, class picket, and joint tree planting became the main initiatives in shaping the character of environmental care. However, challenges such as the lack of awareness of some students in maintaining cleanliness are still found, for example littering or storing garbage in desk drawers. The role of educators is very important in providing reinforcement and habituation of environmentally friendly behavior. This study emphasizes that the development of environmentally friendly characters must be carried out continuously through the involvement of all school members to achieve optimal results. The findings are expected to be a reference for schools in improving and developing environmental education programs.
