Abstract

In modern family life, parents are often faced with sharing responsibilities, such as work, childcare, education, and household management. This situation demands effective time management so that each family member receives sufficient attention and support. A literature review shows that effective time management plays a crucial role in resolving role conflict. Family support is a key factor in work-life balance, which can directly impact the nutritional needs of early childhood. Good time management can help parents divide roles equitably, improve the quality of interactions with their children, and support their emotional, social, and academic development, both at school and at home. Family support and communication are key to the successful implementation of time management at home. Barriers to time management risk reducing the effectiveness of parents’ role in supporting their children. Family time management is not only related to the efficiency of daily activities, but also forms the basis for creating a balanced, harmonious, and prosperous family.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the results of the researcher's observations that the Organizational Culture in the Department of Education and Culture of Padang Pariaman Regency is still not good. This study aims to find out and obtain information about (1) Values ​​that apply within the organization, (2) Employee trust/belief in the organization, (3) Employee self-awareness in working, (4) Employee behavior in working in the Department of Education and Culture of Padang Pariaman Regency. The type of research used is descriptive quantitative with a population of 115 people. Sampling in this study is Probability sampling or simple random sampling, taking sample members from the population is done randomly without paying attention to the strata in the population. The research instrument used is a questionnaire with a Likert scale model with five alternative answers: always (SL), often (SR), sometimes (KD), rarely (JR), never (TP). Before the questionnaire was used, it was first tested to determine its validity and reliability. The results of the validity test showed two invalid statements, but this study remains reliable. The data analysis technique uses the Mean formula (average score). The results of the study show that the organizational culture at the Padang Pariaman Regency Education and Culture Office is seen from the following indicators: (1) The values ​​that apply within the organization are good and the average score is (3.68), (2) Employee trust/belief in the organization is good and the average score is (3.63), (3) Employee self-awareness in working is good and the average score is (3.73), (4) Employee behavior in working is good and the average score is (3.70). (5) Organizational Culture at the Padang Pariaman Regency Education and Culture Office has been implemented well.

Abstract

Organizational leadership is a crucial factor in determining an organization's success in achieving its stated goals. As leadership develops, studies of leadership emphasize not only managerial aspects but also management psychology approaches that focus on behavior, motivation, and interpersonal relationships within organizations. The complexity of today's organizational dynamics demands that leaders understand the psychological aspects of organizational members in order to improve performance and work effectiveness. Therefore, a literature review on organizational leadership from a management psychology perspective is crucial. This study aims to identify the concept of organizational leadership from a management psychology perspective and the psychological factors that influence leadership effectiveness. The method used is a literature review by searching articles through the Google Scholar database and the Publish or Perish (PoP) application using the keywords organizational leadership and management psychology. The initial search yielded 20 articles, then after a screening and validation process, 16 relevant articles were obtained, and 5 articles were analyzed in depth. The results of the study reveal several key themes in the literature, namely the role of management psychology in organizational leadership, the influence of leadership style on organizational performance, and the importance of psychological factors such as work motivation, communication, and emotional intelligence in enhancing leadership effectiveness. This study concludes that the integration of leadership and management psychology is crucial in creating effective and adaptive organizations. Further research is recommended to empirically examine the relationship between psychological factors and leadership in various organizational contexts.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran kepemimpinan visioner kepala sekolah dalam digitalisasi manajemen pendidikan di SMP Muhammadiyah 01 Palembang. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode studi kasus. Sumber data penelitian terdiri dari kepala sekolah sebagai informan utama dan guru sebagai informan pendukung untuk memperkuat validitas data melalui triangulasi sumber. dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah berperan sebagai agen perubahan melalui visi pendidikan berbasis IPTEK dan akhlak, mendorong penggunaan teknologi dalam pembelajaran, serta melaksanakan pelatihan, monitoring, evaluasi, dan motivasi kepada guru. Dalam aspek kebijakan, kepala sekolah menerapkan digitalisasi melalui pengadaan proyektor, laptop, laboratorium komputer, penggunaan Google Form, microsite, serta media sosial sebagai sarana administrasi dan promosi sekolah. Digitalisasi tersebut berdampak pada peningkatan mutu pendidikan melalui pembelajaran yang lebih menarik, peningkatan kompetensi digital guru, kemudahan akses data, efisiensi layanan pendidikan, serta peningkatan branding dan daya saing sekolah. Namun, implementasi digitalisasi masih menghadapi tantangan berupa keterbatasan infrastruktur, jaringan internet, dan fasilitas digital. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penguatan sarana prasarana, peningkatan literasi digital, serta dukungan kebijakan berkelanjutan agar transformasi digital dapat berjalan optimal. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa kepemimpinan visioner kepala sekolah merupakan faktor kunci dalam keberhasilan digitalisasi manajemen pendidikan menuju sekolah yang modern, efektif, dan kompetitif di era digital.

Abstract

This research aimed to improve elementary students’ mathematical problem-solving skills, which were limited by minimal teacher-student engagement and low learning outcomes (Fadli & Setiawan, 2022). To address this issue, three innovative learning models Problem Based Learning (PBL), Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL), and Group Investigation (GI) were implemented (Rahmawati & Nurhasanah, 2021). The study employed a Classroom Action Research design using qualitative and quantitative approaches over three cycles, involving 10 fifth-grade students from SD Kristen Banjarmasin during the 2024/2025 academic year. Qualitative data were collected through observation, while quantitative data were gathered through group and individual written tests. Qualitative data were analyzed descriptively through observation results, while quantitative data were analyzed using percentage-based learning achievement criteria. Data analysis revealed significant improvements in teacher and student activities during the learning process. Students’ problem-solving skills improved progressively, and all students achieved the target mastery level (≥85%) by Cycle 3, along with improvements in cognitive, affective, and psychomotor learning outcomes. These results suggest that PBL, CTL, and GI are effective strategies for enhancing the quality of mathematics learning at the elementary school level (Putri & Hidayat, 2022).

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Dhuha prayer habits in fostering disciplined character among students at Al-Amalul Khair Islamic High School in Palembang. The study employs a qualitative descriptive approach using the case study method. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the habit of performing Dhuha prayer, when carried out routinely, in a structured manner, and consistently, is effective in fostering students’ disciplined character, such as punctuality, responsibility, and adherence to school rules. The success of the program is influenced by effective management through the planning, implementation, and evaluation stages, as well as the support of teachers who serve as role models in religious activities. In addition to fostering discipline, the Dhuha prayer program also has a positive impact on students’ spiritual aspects, such as increased awareness of worship, inner peace, and the development of positive habits in daily life. However, during implementation, some students still lack discipline, necessitating more intensive supervision and guidance. Thus, the implementation of Dhuha prayer habit-forming management can serve as an effective strategy for fostering disciplined character among students in an Islamic school environment.

Abstract

Educational financial management is a crucial aspect in realizing good governance in educational institutions. This study aims to analyze the application of the principles of transparency and accountability in school/madrasah financial administration and identify their role in improving the quality of educational management. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a library research design, which examines various scientific literature, indexed journals, and related official documents. The results indicate that the integration of transparency and accountability serves as an important instrument for preventing budget irregularities and increasing public trust. However, its implementation still faces obstacles such as limited human resource (HR) competency, a low culture of openness, and suboptimal use of information technology. This study recommends strengthening the competency of financial managers, digitizing reporting systems through applications such as ARKAS, and increasing stakeholder participation in financial oversight to achieve sustainable educational quality.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze work culture management and work conflict in improving organizational effectiveness at Batang Hari 1 State Islamic Senior High School. The study employed a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collection techniques including observation, unstructured interviews, and documentation. Research informants were identified through purposive sampling, including the principal, teaching staff, and administrative staff. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman model, comprising data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Its validity was tested through source and technique triangulation. The results indicate that systematically planned and participatory work culture management fosters discipline, responsibility, and harmonious cooperation. The implementation of a digital attendance system and administrative streamlining enhances employee professionalism and performance. Work conflicts arising from differences in perception, workload, and adaptation to the new system can be managed constructively through open communication and a persuasive approach. Thus, a strong work culture and effective conflict management contribute significantly to increased organizational effectiveness, as reflected in the achievement of the school's vision and mission and the creation of a conducive and productive work environment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of organizational communication in improving the effectiveness of educational institutions. Organizational communication is understood as the process of information exchange, coordination, and interaction among organizational members, which serves to support the optimal achievement of educational goals. This study employed a library research method with a qualitative descriptive approach through analysis of various books, national journals, and relevant previous research findings from the past 10 years. The results indicate that organizational communication plays a crucial role in improving the effectiveness of educational institutions through clarity of information, strengthening work coordination, and creating a conducive work environment. Effective communication also influences teacher performance, learning quality, work motivation, and faster and more accurate decision-making. Furthermore, vertical, horizontal, and diagonal communication patterns are crucial factors in facilitating the flow of information within the school environment. Therefore, effective and structured organizational communication is key to creating professional, adaptive educational institutions capable of continuously improving the quality of education.
