Abstract

This research aims to explore the conceptual foundations of axiology in science, including how to optimally integrate moral values, ethics, and social commitment into the development of scientific disciplines. The approach employed includes a qualitative literature review to examine various sources discussing axiological principles, the role of science in society, and ethical principles for scientists. The primary analysis indicates that scientific knowledge grounded in moral and ethical values can foster sustainable and accountable innovation, while raising educational standards and research activities. The integration of moral and ethical values is essential for maintaining harmony between technological progress and social obligations, while simultaneously protecting the sustainability of nature and fostering a civilized community. However, the research also reveals that a number of educational and research institutions have not yet fully implemented these values, potentially leading to social and environmental harms. The study's conclusions emphasize the urgency of axiology as the primary foundation for building a balanced and responsible science. Therefore, further development research using a mixed-methods approach and emphasizing empirical data is recommended to further explore the application of axiology in science across diverse educational and research environments. With these steps, it is anticipated that scientific progress will proceed in a sustainable, dignified manner, and provide substantial benefits to the welfare of humanity and the surrounding ecosystem.

Abstract

In the face of contemporary challenges in madrasah leadership, strengthening Islamic values is essential to foster ethical, effective, and community-oriented leadership practices. This study aims to explore how the values of amanah (trustworthiness), adil (justice), musyawarah (deliberation), itqan (excellence), and ihsan (benevolence) are integrated into school leadership practices through the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, and how this integration impacts program outcomes and managerial routines. Employing a qualitative case study design, data were gathered through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis involving 10 school principals across Bandung City. The findings reveal that Islamic values were successfully internalized across all ABCD stages, positively influencing asset mapping quality, action plan feasibility, and stakeholder satisfaction. The study concludes that integrating Islamic values not only strengthens the spiritual dimension of leadership but also creates a participatory and exemplary educational management model. These results imply the urgency of developing structured and contextual Islamic leadership training as a response to the evolving demands for professional and value-based school leadership

Abstract

For everyone, education is the most important prerequisite and constitutional right. It assists individuals in reducing inequality and plays an important role in human development, which impacts overall socio-economic growth. Improved health, nutritional status, economic growth, population reduction, weaker empowerment and society as a whole are all benefits of increased literacy and education. Women's empowerment is the foundation for achieving gender equality, which is characterized by individual responsibilities, rights, and opportunities that do not depend on their gender. Thus, it is very important for Social Institutions to contribute to providing empowerment activities through education for women. The purpose of this study is to see how the contribution made by social institutions, especially the Indonesian Teacher School and the Indonesian Literacy School program in implementing empowerment programs through educators for women. This research method uses a qualitative research method that is descriptive, a process in which the researcher describes this conceptual framework as resembling a repetitive process.  Then the researcher conducted interviews with beneficiaries and program managers. In addition, the researcher also reviewed published literature that focused on the relationship between education and women's empowerment.  The results of this study show that the Indonesian Teacher School and the Indonesian Literacy School program are empowerment programs that focus on education for teachers and public awareness of the importance of literacy which is dominated by women. The contributions made by the two programs are focused on the formation  of critical thinking, personal competence, social competence, and productive competence.  The competencies formed are very beneficial for beneficiaries to continue to be empowered.

Abstract

This article examines how Mahāyāna Buddhist causality—specifically, the triadic concepts of karma, vipāka, and pratītyasamutpāda—is operationalized within the symbolic and discursive systems of contemporary Chinese fortune-telling. Drawing on textual analysis, semi-structured interviews with fifteen diviners, a quantitative survey of 278 clients, and longitudinal case studies, this study proposes a five-layer "divination–causality integration model." Findings demonstrate that Buddhist karmic logic, especially the "cause–condition–result" schema, is embedded in both interpretive frameworks and ritual interventions. Clients' endorsement of karmic beliefs correlates with improved emotional adjustment, more transparent decision-making, and more ethical conduct. This research contributes to the sociology of religion, psychological anthropology, and contemporary Buddhist studies by revealing how doctrinal teachings are reframed as therapeutic tools in late-modern Chinese society. The study further recommends incorporating Buddhist causal reasoning into culturally grounded mental health interventions and digital divinatory technologies.

Abstract

Community-based Islamic education is an educational model that positions the community as an active participant in the learning process. This concept emphasizes that education is not solely the responsibility of the government but also a social and moral obligation of the community. This education is grounded in Islamic philosophical values, local wisdom, and national regulations such as Law Number 20 of 2003 and Government Regulation Number 55 of 2007. Sociologically, community-based education strengthens mutual cooperation and the relevance of education to social needs. Religiously, this education encourages the development of a knowledgeable and beneficial generation. Thus, community-based Islamic education plays a crucial role in strengthening Islamic identity, increasing community participation, and realizing equitable and civilized education.

Abstract

This study aims to reconstruct Islamic Religious Education (PAI) through a Love-Based Curriculum as a practical strategy to integrate Aqidah Akhlak values, religious moderation, and students’ psychological well-being at MI Darul Hikmah Al-Fatimiyah. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation analysis, and then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the Love-Based Curriculum is not only implemented through teacher–student interaction but is also institutionalized within instructional documents and the cultural system of the school. At the practical level, teachers apply compassion-oriented pedagogy in Aqidah Akhlak learning through personal greetings, empathetic narratives, and emotional reflection. At the institutional level, compassion-based values are integrated into lesson plans, character reports, and school activities such as Salam Kasih Sayang and collective prayer. This implementation has proven effective in fostering moderate character, enhancing social empathy, and strengthening students’ emotional well-being. The study concludes that the Love-Based Curriculum serves as an alternative instructional model for PAI that is relevant for addressing issues of intolerance and the empathy crisis in Islamic elementary education.

Abstract

Advances in information and communication technology (ICT) have had a significant impact on the education system, including in Indonesia. Learning can now take place without the constraints of time and space through the use of online platforms, digital classrooms, and the application of cutting-edge technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain, and the metaverse. However, expanding access to technology has not fully aligned with improving the quality of education. Digital inequality remains a major issue, encompassing limitations in network infrastructure, device availability, and the ability of educators and students to utilize technology optimally. The purpose of this article is to examine how technology is transforming education, considering aspects of access and equity; to examine their interrelationships; and to examine the implications for education. and suggests approaches to make technology-based education more inclusive and equitable. This study uses a descriptive approach to examine the relationship between justice, technology, and educational quality, based on the perspectives of several researchers, such, The results of the discussion indicate that educational technology is not entirely neutral, as it contains specific values, interests, and power structures. Therefore, the application of justice-oriented technology pedagogy needs to be developed so that educators are able to understand and assess technology not only from a functional perspective but also from its social and ethical implications. To realize a just and sustainable digital educational transformation, a comprehensive strategy is needed, including improving teacher competency, equitable distribution of technological infrastructure, providing open learning resources, and cross-sectoral collaboration between the government, higher education institutions, and technology providers. Thus, technology can play a role as an instrument to strengthen justice, quality, and inclusiveness in education in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study explores the endogenous development capacity of female ecological migrants in Guizhou Province, China. Using a quantitative survey of 945 female migrants, the research investigates the challenges in economic production, social participation, psychological adjustment, and household management. Results reveal that although these women possess strong ecological awareness and safety knowledge, they face significant limitations in production capacity, especially in agricultural production and entrepreneurial skills. Age and educational attainment are critical influencing factors; older women and those with lower educational attainment demonstrate weaker adaptive abilities. The study proposes a "problem-education-application" model and recommends vocational training, community-based education programs, and the creation of flexible employment opportunities. This research contributes to sustainable development discourse by providing practical policy recommendations to empower female ecological migrants and improve their quality of life in resettlement areas. Findings offer practical guidance for gender-sensitive ecological resettlement policies and sustainable capacity-building programs.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between David R. Hawkins emotional consciousness level theory and the concept of nafs in the Quran. In transpersonal psychology, Hawkins maps human consciousness through the map of consciousness, placing emotions along an energy spectrum from the lowest (shame, guilt, fear) to the highest (love, peace, enlightment). Meanwhile, the Quran discusses human spiritual dynamics through the concept of nafs, which comprises levels such as nafs al-ammarah, nafs al-lawwamah, and nafs al-muthmainnah. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach, employing comparative-conceptual analysis and tematic (maudhu’i) exegesis of Quranic verses related to nafs. The result reveal a progressive correpondence between Hawkins levels of consciousness theory and the Quranic concept of nafs, especially regarding human spiritual evolution from egoistic impulses toward divine awareness. The integration of these two perspectives offers an important contribution to developing an Islamic-based spiritualpsychology paradigm that is both scientific and transdental.
