Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategies of teachers from traditional Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) in implementing Islamic values in public educational institutions. The main focus of this study is how teachers from Islamic boarding schools are able to instill Islamic values in educational environments that are not entirely based on religion. The research method used was a qualitative case study approach. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation of teachers from Islamic boarding schools who teach in public schools. The results show that the strategies used include integrating Islamic values into learning, exemplary behavior, instilling Islamic morals, and a personal approach to students. Teachers from Islamic boarding schools play a crucial role as moral and spiritual agents in a heterogeneous school environment. The implications of this study indicate that the religious competence and character of Islamic boarding school teachers can strengthen character education in public institutions and serve as models for the application of religious moderation in educational practice. This study recommends collaborative training between public institutions and Islamic boarding schools to enrich inclusive and contextual Islamic values-based educational strategies.

Abstract

Bullying is a serious and frequent problem in schools, affecting the well-being of students and the environment, both physically, emotionally, and even socially. This incident must be addressed immediately to prevent school concerns during school activities. This study aims to prevent bullying cases in schools by internalizing Islamic religious values. By naming the feeling of loving each other and fostering noble character. This method uses a case study approach which is one of the research methodologies. In this case study, researchers must conduct a more thorough analysis of an event, in the form of individuals and groups. In addition to collecting data, researchers also observe and interview and understand the event holistically. The results of the study show that Islamic values provide a strong foundation for bullying cases, thus creating a safe, inclusive, and civilized learning environment. By consistently understanding and deepening Islamic values, students are also able to apply student character and tolerance attitudes so as to maintain relationships with each other, by providing examples of the attitudes of the prophets and Islamic figures. The application of Islamic religious values is also able to create a school environment that. Thus, concrete steps in internalizing religious values to prevent bullying cases involving all related parties, as well as evaluating the effectiveness of prevention strategies, can create a school environment based on the principles of justice, compassion and equality.

Abstract

This study examines how religious moderation education is constructed at Pesantren Darul Falah Ternate using Peter L. Berger’s social construction theory. A qualitative descriptive-analytical approach was employed, with data collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis. Data were analyzed using Berger’s three-stage dialectical framework: externalization, objectivation, and internalization. The findings reveal that religious moderation construction occurs through interconnected dialectical processes. Externalization manifests through the kyai’s charismatic exemplarity and comprehensive pesantren regulations. Objectivation involves inter-generational interactions that institutionalize values through the concept of barakah and habitualization processes. Internalization integrates universal Islamic teachings with Ternate local wisdom, particularly the “torang basudara” brotherhood tradition, creating contextual religious moderation that resonates with students’ cultural identities. The study demonstrates that religious moderation is not a fixed concept but a continuous social construction involving complex interactions among institutional structures, charismatic authority, peer relationships, and cultural resources. This research contributes empirical evidence showing how pesantren successfully translate abstract theological concepts into lived practices through holistic socialization processes, offering insights for developing contextually appropriate religious moderation education models.

Abstract

The era of Civil Society 5.0 requires a new paradigm in education, including Islamic education, to respond to humanitarian challenges amid rapid digitalization. Islamic education is not only a means of transmitting knowledge and religious values but also an instrument for shaping a civil society that upholds Human Rights (HR), gender equality, and pluralism. In this context, Islamic education must integrate universal values into curricula, learning processes, and social practices, thereby fostering a Muslim generation that is inclusive, critical, and adaptive to contemporary changes. Contextualizing Islamic education within the framework of Civil Society 5.0 means harmonizing Islamic teachings with the demands of a technology-based modern society without losing its spiritual and moral essence. Thus, Islamic education has the potential to serve as a driving force in building a civilized society that balances religious, humanistic, and digital dimensions.

Abstract

Generation Z grows up in a fast-paced and open digital era. On the one hand, they enjoy easy access to information and technology, but on the other hand, they also face a serious challenge in the form of a moral crisis. Phenomena such as a lack of responsibility, weakened empathy, and consumptive behavior often appear among young people. This study discusses the importance of spiritual intelligence in the Islamic Education (PAI) curriculum as an effort to address these issues. The method used is a literature review by examining various relevant sources. The findings show that spiritual intelligence helps students develop deeper religious awareness, self-control, and the ability to make wiser decisions. By integrating spiritual intelligence values into the PAI curriculum, it is expected that Generation Z will be better prepared to face the challenges of the modern era without losing their moral direction and character.

Abstract

Stunting is a condition where there is a delay or even failure of growth and development in toddlers (infants under 5 years old), which results in chronic malnutrition so that the child is too short for his age. Malnutrition is a cause of infant mortality in Indonesia. Malnutrition occurs from the baby in the womb and in the early stages of the baby's birth. The mother's education level is one factor in meeting the nutritional needs of the family, especially in children. The purpose of this study was to identify the influence of maternal education level on stunting in children. This research method uses a case study design. The subjects of this study were mothers who have children under 5 years old in Besuk Agung Village, Besuk District, Probolinggo Regency. A study was conducted on 166 mothers who have children under 5 years old. Maternal education level was determined by the formal education that has been completed, stunting was determined by the z-score indicator for body length according to age. The results of this study found a significant influence between maternal education and the incidence of stunting in children under 5 years old in Besuk Agung Village. Mothers with low education levels are at greater risk of having stunted children. Maternal education plays a crucial role in stunting among children under 5 years of age in Besuk Agung village. Education is a practical way for mothers to more easily absorb health information.

Abstract

This study analyzes the integration of strategic management and Islamic spirituality in building Good Islamic Governance at the Nurul Qadim Islamic Boarding School. In the digital era and educational competition, Islamic boarding schools are required not only to uphold Islamic values but also to build professional and adaptive governance. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation. The results indicate that using a management strategy based on Islamic spirituality increases the accountability, transparency, and effectiveness of educational programs. Islamic values such as amanah (trustworthiness), ihsan (goodness), and ikhlas (sincerity) guide every stage of the strategy, from planning to evaluation. The institution's vision and mission serve as a moral compass for governance, and a SWOT analysis is used to identify the institution's strengths and challenges. This integration demonstrates that this management system balances worldly and hereafter orientations.

Abstract

This study aims to gain an in-depth understanding of how Madrasah Tsanawiyah empowers its students to maintain emotional and spiritual control amidst the hustle and bustle of digital culture. The study focuses on the central role of teacher-student relationships in Aqidah Akhlak learning. Using a qualitative case study approach at MTs Nurul Jadid, we collected real stories and experiences from teachers, principals, counselors, and students through interviews, observations, and documentation. Our findings reveal that instilling morals is not solely dependent on material resources, but rather on the interpersonal relationships between teachers and students, which are characterized by empathy and exemplary behavior. This authentic relationship is key to activating spiritual awareness, ultimately enabling students to resist the negative influences of social media. The conclusion emphasizes that students' consciences will be nurtured if teachers are fully present. A warm relationship is a prerequisite for the teachings of Aqidah Akhlak to take hold, creating a generation that is intelligent and has a stable, responsible character.
