Abstract

The construction of shophouses (ruko) as a commercial area requires effective project planning and control to ensure timely completion. This study aims to analyze the application of the Network Planning method in scheduling a shophouse construction project in Tanjung Morawa District, Deli Serdang Regency. The research method used is descriptive quantitative with the Critical Path Method (CPM) and Program Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT) approaches. The research data include the type of work, activity duration, and dependency relationships between activities obtained through field observations, interviews, and project planning documents. Data processing was carried out using the POM for Windows application to determine the earliest start time, latest finish time, slack value, and the project's critical path. The analysis results show that the total project duration is 253 days with the critical path dominated by physical construction activities, especially structural work and the installation of doors and windows. The PERT analysis shows that core construction activities have the highest level of time uncertainty. Thus, the application of Network Planning is proven effective in assisting the planning and time control of shophouse construction projects.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of supervisors’ communication styles on employee performance at PT Indomarco Prismatama Yogyakarta. Effective communication is essential for creating a productive work environment, while unclear and one-way communication may hinder employee performance. This research used a quantitative explanatory approach. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 108 active employees selected using purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted using validity and reliability tests, normality and linearity tests, and simple linear regression analysis with SPSS version 27. The results show that all questionnaire items are valid and reliable, with Cronbach’s Alpha values of 0.941 for supervisors’ communication style and 0.955 for employee performance. The Kolmogorov–Smirnov test indicates that the data are normally distributed. Regression analysis reveals a significant positive effect of supervisors’ communication styles on employee performance, with a significance value of 0.001 (< 0.05). The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.682 indicates that supervisors’ communication styles explain 68.2% of the variance in employee performance. These findings emphasize the importance of effective supervisory communication in improving employee performance.

Abstract

This study seeks to evaluate how effective the Network Planning method is when using the Critical Path Method (CPM) and Program Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT) in scheduling the construction of the Free Nutritious Food Program (MBG) facility in Medan Amplas District. A descriptive quantitative research method was used, involving data collection through field observations and interviews with those managing the project. The data were processed using QM for Windows software to identify the critical path and estimate the project's completion time. The findings show that the ideal completion time for the MBG project is 72 days, which is faster than the actual time taken, which was 90 days. The critical path for the project was found to be A–C–D–E–F–G–H–I–N–O–P–Q–T. The results highlight that using CPM and PERT enhances time efficiency and improves the ability to manage the project effectively. As a result, Network Planning acts as a valuable tool for project managers to help ensure the successful execution of government infrastructure projects.

Abstract

The manufacturing sector is characterized by high work demands and complex operational environments that can trigger employee work stress. Unmanaged stress negatively affects productivity, mental health, job satisfaction, and turnover rates. Prior literature indicates that employee training and Human Resource Management (HRM) policies serve as strategic interventions for stress mitigation. Training enhances employee competence and role clarity, while effective HRM policies create fairness, stability, and organizational support. This study adopts a quantitative survey method using a Likert-scale questionnaire distributed to manufacturing employees in Karawang, Indonesia. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) to assess validity, reliability, and hypothesis testing. The empirical results show a significant effect of training on reducing work stress (coefficient = 0.412; p = 0.000) and a significant effect of HRM policies on stress reduction (coefficient = 0.398; p = 0.000). Simultaneously, both variables explain 62.4% of the variance in work stress reduction (R² = 0.624), while the remaining variance is influenced by other factors. These findings confirm that comprehensive HRM interventions are needed to manage stress in manufacturing settings. Training improves employee adaptability, while HRM policies strengthen work security and support systems.

Abstract

Bank health assessment is fundamental to banking supervision and economic stability. Traditional quantitative approaches using financial ratios have limitations in explaining managerial quality, corporate governance effectiveness, and sustainability commitment. This study aims to analyze bank health qualitatively based on annual reports and corporate governance reports, focusing on risk management quality, Good Corporate Governance implementation, and business sustainability without using financial ratio calculations. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach with content analysis method on PT Bank Central Asia Tbk for the period 2022–2024. Data were collected from annual reports, GCG reports, and sustainability reports, then analyzed through data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the bank demonstrates institutional health characteristics through structured risk management systems, consistent GCG implementation, sustainable business strategies, and adequate transparency. This study concludes that qualitative bank health assessment through annual and governance reports provides a holistic alternative method that captures institutional and managerial dimensions often overlooked in quantitative analysis. Banks with effective risk management, strong corporate governance, and sustainable strategies can be categorized as institutionally healthy banks.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of organizational culture, leadership style, and training on employee loyalty in the era of digital transformation. The research was conducted by Cecep Ridwan in 2026 as part of the Management Study Program at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Pelita Bangsa University, Karawang. The study focuses on internal company factors that affect employee loyalty amid changes in the work environment driven by digital transformation. Digital transformation has significantly changed business operations, work systems, communication patterns, and employee competency requirements. Companies are required to adapt quickly to remain competitive. These changes demand employees to continuously develop their skills and adjust to new technologies. Poor change management can lead to decreased employee loyalty. Employee loyalty is crucial because it affects organizational stability, productivity, and long term sustainability. Organizational culture plays an important role in shaping employee loyalty. It reflects shared values, norms, and behaviors within the company. A strong and clear organizational culture can create a sense of belonging and commitment among employees. In the digital era, organizational culture must support innovation, openness, and continuous learning to encourage employee engagement and loyalty. Leadership style also influences employee loyalty. Leaders who are adaptive, supportive, and able to guide employees through change can increase trust and commitment. Effective leadership helps employees feel motivated and aligned with organizational goals during periods of transformation. Training is another key factor affecting employee loyalty. Digital transformation requires employees to acquire new skills relevant to technological developments. Training programs help improve employee competence and readiness. Employees who receive training opportunities tend to feel valued, which increases job satisfaction and encourages them to remain with the company. This research uses a quantitative method with descriptive and verificative approaches. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to employees in companies implementing digital transformation. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to measure the effect of organizational culture, leadership style, and training on employee loyalty. The results are expected to show that organizational culture, leadership style, and training have a positive effect on employee loyalty. The findings can be used as a reference for company management in developing effective human resource strategies to maintain employee loyalty in the digital transformation era.

Abstract

The accelerated growth of the industry has resulted in intense competition between companies as they strive to achieve their objectives. This competition exerts a substantial influence on business strategies and the environment, a factor which must be given due consideration in the context of sustainability. Sustainable development is predicated on three fundamental pillars: economic, social and environmental. In order to achieve sustainability, companies must consider the 3Ps (profit, people, planet). The objective of this study was to ascertain and analyse the impact of green accounting, corporate social responsibility, and environmental performance on sustainable development. The research methodology employed a purposive sampling technique, resulting in a sample size of 20 (with five companies over a period of four years). The analysis tool utilises multiple linear regression. The findings indicated that the implementation of a limited form of corporate social responsibility, as defined by the GRI-4 standard, exerts a significant influence on the pursuit of sustainable development. Conversely, the disclosure of green accounting practices, as evidenced by environmental costs and environmental performance metrics derived from PROPER ratings, was found to have no discernible impact on sustainable development. Concurrently, the three independent variables exert an influence on sustainable development.
