Idarotuna: Jurnal Manajemen Pendidikan Islam Unisba adalah jurnal akademik yang dikelola oleh Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Keguruan, Universitas Islam Bandung (UNISBA). Jurnal ini didedikasikan untuk mempublikasikan artikel-artikel ilmiah berkualitas dalam bidang manajemen pendidikan Islam, baik dalam konteks teoritis maupun aplikatif. Jurnal ini bertujuan menjadi wadah bagi para akademisi, peneliti, dan praktisi untuk berbagi ide, hasil penelitian, dan pengalaman praktis dalam upaya meningkatkan kualitas manajemen pendidikan Islam. Fokus utamanya mencakup berbagai aspek manajemen pendidikan seperti: Kepemimpinan dalam pendidikan Islam Pengelolaan sumber daya manusia di lembaga pendidikan Islam Perencanaan dan pengembangan kurikulum berbasis nilai-nilai Islam Strategi peningkatan mutu pendidikan Islam Isu-isu kontemporer dalam manajemen pendidikan Islam Jurnal Manajemen Pendidikan Islam Unisba terbit secara berkala (dua kali setahun: Mei dan November) dan menggunakan proses peer-review untuk memastikan kualitas akademik setiap artikel yang diterbitkan. Melalui publikasi ini, diharapkan dapat tercipta sinergi antara teori dan praktik, serta memperkaya khasanah keilmuan di bidang manajemen pendidikan Islam di Indonesia dan dunia.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the management of a special curriculum in an educational institution in strengthening students' character. Programmed management will be able to optimize educational institutions in achieving learning goals to produce students with positive character. The location of the study was at SD Juara, East Jakarta. The special curriculum that was implemented was named "Kurikulum Langit". The method used in this study was descriptive qualitative. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observations and documentation studies. From the results of the study, it was found that the management of the "Kurikulum Langit" consists of the planning, organizing, implementing and supervising processes. Curriculum planning goes through the stages of compiling objectives, internalization plans for the work culture of educators and education personnel, developing a special curriculum and designing learning programs. The organization is carried out by the principal by forming a curriculum development team, program coordinator, making a decree and distributing tasks involving homeroom teachers and teachers. The implementation process at the school, class and home levels is through the process of exemplary behavior, instilling values, habituation and enforcing rules. The implementation involves parents such as in the maghrib pengajian program, mabit keluarga, lukman berilmu and parenting school. While the supervision process is carried out by conducting periodic supervision and evaluation of the “Sky Curriculum” that has been implemented and evaluating the obstacles experienced in implementing the curriculum. The positive impact of the curriculum is seen in the character of students who reflect the values ​​of the 7 Champion Habits of the “Sky Curriculum”.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the implementation of "Good and Strong" character education in SMP Negeri 9 Bandung, which includes planning, implementation, evaluation, supporting and inhibiting factors, and the results of the implementation. The study was conducted through field observation methods, documentation, and interviews with the Principal, Curriculum, PAI Teachers, BK Teachers, and student representatives. The results of the study indicate that character education planning is carried out systematically by integrating good character values ​​(honesty, sincerity, humility) and strong character values ​​(courageous, disciplined, tough) into formal and non-formal curricula. The "7 Loves" approach (knowledge, mosque, alms, dhikr, Al-Qur'an, fasting, and tahajud) is the main foundation in the formation of student character. Implementation is carried out through daily activities, such as the habit of reading the Qur'an, praying in congregation, and social action, as well as special programs such as daily literacy, tahsin-tahfidz, and active involvement of parents in supporting the implementation of character values ​​at home. Evaluation is carried out collaboratively through direct observation, assessment of attitudes in report cards, student reflection, and involvement of teachers and parents, to ensure the effectiveness of the program. Supporting factors for implementation include complete facilities and infrastructure, cooperation between schools, and the role of the family as a moral foundation. However, there are inhibiting factors such as lack of parental attention, limited facilities, suboptimal ISOMA time management, and internal (student intentions) and external (environmental) obstacles. The implementation results showed an increase in positive attitudes and behaviors in 85% of students from a total of 1006 students, including honesty, discipline, and responsibility. This program has proven effective in forming a generation with integrity, resilience, and high morals, although around 15% of students still need a sustainable approach.

Abstract

Contemporary education faces challenges from globalization, secularism, and the fragmentation of knowledge, which often neglect the spiritual and moral dimensions. This has led to an identity crisis among Muslim youth. Islamic philosophy, with its core values such as hikmah (wisdom), tauhid (the oneness of Allah), and adab (morality), offers a holistic framework for integrating spiritual and moral dimensions into education. This journal aims to analyze the relevance of Islamic philosophical values in addressing the challenges of modern education and provides concrete recommendations for integrating these values into educational curricula. Employing a qualitative approach through literature analysis, this journal finds that Islamic philosophy offers a robust foundation for an educational system that not only produces intellectually intelligent individuals but also those who are morally grounded and possess an Islamic character. The integration of these values can be realized through a curriculum design based on tauhid, the development of wisdom-based learning, and the inculcation of adab as a core competency. The findings of this journal are expected to contribute significantly to building an educational system that remains relevant to the challenges of the modern era while preserving the essence of spirituality and morality, which lie at the heart of Islamic philosophy.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the management practices implemented by the Khulafaur Rasyidin caliphs in the process of codifying the Quran, from the perspective of modern management science. The background of this study focuses on the importance of understanding the managerial strategies used by early Islamic leaders in the context of managing resources and information that were crucial at that time. The method employed in this research is descriptive qualitative, utilizing a literature review approach. Data collection techniques were conducted through literature studies and documentation, allowing the researcher to gather relevant information from various sources. Data analysis was performed using descriptive analysis, aimed at describing and explaining the findings obtained. In this study, the management theory used is George R. Terry's theory, which emphasizes management functions such as planning, organizing, executing, and supervising. The results indicate that the Khulafaur Rasyidin caliphs applied very good and effective management in the codification of the Quran, which aligns with the principles outlined in Terry's theory. This reflects their ability to manage resources and information to achieve greater goals in the dissemination of Islamic teachings. Thus, this research provides new insights into the integration of classical and modern management, as well as emphasizes the importance of a systematic managerial approach in the context of Islamic history.

Abstract

Off-task behavior among students often becomes a challenge in the learning process, particularly in Islamic Education (PAI), which requires active participation and deep understanding. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the creative product method in improving the motivation and learning interest of Grade XI A students at Madrasah Aliyah (MA) Raudhatul ‘Ulum who tend to display off-task behavior. The research employed a quasiexperimental design using a pre-test post-test control group model, allowing comparison between the experimental and control groups. Instruments used in this study included tests, questionnaires, and observations to measure changes in students’ motivation, interest, and engagement during the learning process. The findings reveal that the application of the creative product method encourages students to participate more actively, express their understanding through innovative works, and reduce irrelevant behaviors during lessons. These results highlight that the creative product method not only enhances students’ motivation and learning interest but also contributes to fostering a positive attitude toward Islamic Education among Grade XI A students at MA Raudhatul ‘Ulum.

Abstract

Education plays a strategic role in instilling the values of morality, character, skills and as a means of knowledge transformation. The importance of the role of education for human beings coupled with the development of information and technology in the 21st century, has become a new challenge for education practitioners in developing creativity in utilizing technology in the process of learning and teaching activities. This research is a field research with a quantitative analysis approach to determine the influence of variable X (Google sites-based Fiqh learning media) on variable Y (student learning outcomes). The results of the study show that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted with the interpretation that the application of Google Sites-based Fiqh learning media has a significant influence in improving student learning outcomes. This is due to learning media with audio-visual material treats and various practical activities of Fiqh material that can be manipulated through videos can help understanding and efficiency of time and environment. The improvement produced by the learning media can be categorized as "high".

Abstract

MTs Daarul Ulum Sukaraja, as a private school with limited educational funding, has been able to optimize all its financial resources to improve the quality of education. This study aims to analyze the efforts of the school principal in managing school financing to enhance educational quality at MTs Daarul Ulum Sukaraja. The researcher used a qualitative approach and a descriptive method. The data sources for this research were obtained through purposive sampling. The informants in this study included the school principal, vice principal, treasurer, teachers, and other staff members. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research findings indicate that MTs Daarul Ulum is a private school accredited with an "A" rating with limited financial resources. However, the school has been able to allocate and optimize its funding effectively. Additionally, the school does not charge tuition fees to its students, as it is located in a lower-middle-class economic community. Therefore, the school maximizes the use of BOS (School Operational Assistance) funds.

Abstract

Educational financing management is a crucial aspect for the sustainability and quality of the education system, including in Islamic boarding schools that often face financial management challenges due to dependence on community donations, student fees, and fluctuating social assistance. Persis 99 Rancabango Islamic Boarding School, as an Islamic educational institution, is committed to creating quality education despite facing income instability. This research aims to understand how Islamic boarding schools manage education financing efficiently and effectively, and how adaptation to income fluctuations can improve the quality of education even with limited resources. This study uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological approach. The researcher acted as the main instrument for collecting data through observation techniques, interviews and documentation studies with selected informants, namely the Islamic boarding school treasurer who was directly involved in financial management. Management of education financing at Pesantren Persis 99 Ranbataso involves four main aspects: planning, implementation, supervision and evaluation. The success of this Islamic boarding school lies in careful planning, diversity of funding sources, and transparent supervision in achieving effective Islamic boarding school financial management.

Abstract

The inculcation of Islamic values through congregational prayer in madrasas is important in shaping students' religious character. This study aims to identify strategies for instilling Islamic values through congregational prayer in madrasas, including role modelling, reward and punishment, persuasive invitations, and school norms. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings show that congregational prayer effectively instils values of worship, morality, a spirit of striving, and exemplary behaviour. The role of teachers as role models is crucial in providing examples to students, while the application of rewards and punishments encourages students to be disciplined in their work. Furthermore, persuasive invitations and routine practice through school norms reinforce students' internalization of Islamic values. In conclusion, congregational prayer is an effective method for shaping students' religious character, supported by structured and comprehensive strategies from the madrasa.

Abstract

This study discusses the implementation of the Habit Character Life Skill (HCL) program and the Habit Guru program in the development of akhlakul karimah (noble character) in students at MI Cerdas Nurani. The main objective of this research is to analyze the design of organization, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the HCL and Habit Guru programs in shaping students' character. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through semi-structured interviews, observations, and documentation studies. Data were obtained from informants consisting of the school principal, program managers, class teachers, and parents of the students. The findings indicate that the HCL and Habit Guru programs are effective in improving students' moral behavior, with significant changes in their moral and ethical conduct. These programs not only instill good habits but also strengthen the relationship between students, teachers, and parents in fostering akhlakul karimah. Furthermore, this study identifies indicators of students' behavioral changes as a direct impact of these programs, which include changes in daily habits as well as more positive mindsets and actions. These findings are expected to contribute to the development of character education in Islamic education, particularly in the implementation of programs that involve all elements of the school.
