Abstract

This study explores the commodification of INews news narrative content towards the perception of fraud in the 2024 Election. The main problem underlying this study is the increasing public concern about honesty in the election process, which is often influenced by media coverage. This study aims to analyze how INews, as one of the main media, packages news related to alleged fraud in the 2024 Election and its impact on public perception. The method used is content analysis with a qualitative approach, where news is taken from the campaign period to post-election. Data is analyzed using discourse analysis techniques to identify themes, narratives, and news framing. The results of the study show that INews tends to commodify news by emphasizing sensational and dramatic aspects, which can strengthen negative perceptions of election fraud among the public. The conclusion of this study is that the commodification of news by INews can significantly influence public opinion, so it is important for the media to maintain objectivity and integrity in election reporting to support a healthy democratic process.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has brought great changes in the world of education, especially in developing countries such as Indonesia. One solution that overcomes limited access to education is an online learning platform such as Ruangguru. This study aims to analyze the behavior of students of the Islamic Community Development Study Program (PMI) 3A towards the Clash of Champions (COC) show organized by Ruangguru on the YouTube platform, focusing on its impact on adolescent behavior patterns and learning styles. The method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results show that there is a variation in student involvement, which is influenced by their learning interests and preferences. Some students are actively engaged, developing critical thinking and collaboration skills, while others watch the show passively. This study provides recommendations to maximize the use of COC impressions in education by involving the role of teachers and utilizing social media to expand the reach of educational content.

Abstract

This study explores the influence of media ownership by MNC Group on press freedom in Indonesia. In the context of democracy, press freedom serves as an important pillar that guarantees the public's right to obtain accurate and objective information. However, the phenomenon of media conglomerates that occurred after the 1998 reform showed that there was a concentration of ownership that could limit the diversity of information and affect the independence of journalists. Through a qualitative approach, this study analyzes how MNC Group, as one of the largest media conglomerates in Indonesia, influences news content and public opinion. The methods used include in-depth interviews, documentation studies, and observations on journalistic practices. The results of the study show that concentrated media ownership has the potential to create bias in reporting, where the media tends to side with the interests of its owners, especially when the owners have political affiliations. The study also identifies the challenges that press freedom faces in the face of media conglomerates and provides recommendations to maintain a balance between press freedom and fair media ownership regulation. This finding is expected to provide insight for policymakers and media practitioners in an effort to strengthen democracy and information disclosure in Indonesia.

Abstract

This article explores the critical issue of enhancing the pedagogical competence of lecturers at religious higher education institutions. Pedagogical competence is essential for lecturers to effectively deliver knowledge, foster critical thinking, and create an engaging learning environment. However, many lecturers face challenges in adapting to contemporary educational demands, such as integrating technology, applying innovative teaching strategies, and addressing diverse student needs. This study employs a qualitative approach through literature review and library research methods to identify the primary challenges and propose viable solutions. The findings indicate that limited professional development opportunities, insufficient institutional support, and resistance to change are the main obstacles. To overcome these barriers, the article suggests continuous training programs, collaborative learning environments, and institutional policies that encourage pedagogical enhancement. By fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation, religious higher education institutions can significantly improve the teaching quality of their lecturers. This, in turn, contributes to better student outcomes and aligns educational practices with global standards. The research highlights the importance of ongoing collaboration between lecturers, educational leaders, and policymakers to create sustainable pedagogical improvements. The study concludes that addressing these challenges systematically will not only benefit lecturers but also enrich the overall academic environment at religious higher education institutions.
