Abstract

Abstract

Sumberkima Village, Gerokgak District, Buleleng Regency has fishery cultivation potential in the form of floating net cages (KJA) as well as coastal ecosystems that support minatourism development. This study aims to determine the fishery cultivation potential that can be developed into a minatourism object and to design a sustainable fishery cultivation development model to support minatourism in Sumberkima Village. The study used a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE model, involving 77 respondents determined using the Slovin Formula, consisting of aquaculture business actors, local minatourism managers, village officials, and tourists. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression and SWOT (IFAS-EFAS) analysis. The results showed that fishery cultivation potential (X1) and community participation (X3) had a positive and significant effect on minatourism development (Y), while supporting facilities (X2) had no significant effect, with a coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.761. The SWOT analysis placed Sumberkima Village in Quadrant I with coordinate point (0.85 ; 1.05), indicating that an aggressive (SO) strategy is the most appropriate strategy to apply. The recommended development model integrates local potential, supporting facilities, and community participation, while still considering environmental, economic, and social sustainability aspects. Minatourism; Sumberkima Village; SWOT

Abstract

The high production of prawns produces by-products that are not utilized, especially in theindustrial sector which only uses prawn meat and produces waste from prawn shells. Onealternative to solve the problem of prawn shell waste is to process shrimp shells into flourwhich can be used as the main ingredient in processing pineapple cakes and as a source ofcalcium. Pineapple tart is one of the pastries that is high in calories. The nutritional content ofPineapple tart is not much different from other types of pastries, the content in it is moredominant in fat because it contains a lot of margarine, wheat flour and eggs. Meanwhile, thecalcium content in pineapple tart is only found in the cheese which is used as the top layer forpineapple tart (topping). Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research on making pineappletart by substituting prawn shell flour (Macrobrachium rosenbergii) as a source of calciumbecause calcium is a mineral that is important for humans for the growth and maintenance ofbones and teeth. This research was conducted to determine the characteristics of Pineapple tartwith the addition of prawn shell flour (Macrobrachium rosenbergii) as a source of calcium. This research used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) method with 4 treatments, namelyA (without the addition of waste shell flour), B (addition of 2.5% waste prawn shell flour, C(addition of 5% waste shell flour), and D (addition of waste flour shell 7.5%). The results ofthis study found that the best Calcium content value was obtained from treatment B which was680.91 mg and fulfilled the Calcium intake per day which is between 600-1200 mg per day.

Abstract

Red spot disease known as Motile Aeromonas Septicemia (MAS) is a serious challenge often faced by freshwater fish farmers. This disease is caused by infection with the bacteria Aeromonas hydrophila and can be fatal if not treated properly. Therefore, it is important to find alternative solutions that are more environmentally friendly, one of which is through the use of natural ingredients or herbal medicines. One of the natural ingredients that has the potential to be used to treat this infection is noni leaves (Morinda citrifolia). This study aims to explore the content of active compounds in noni leaf extract and test its effectiveness in overcoming tissue damage in milkfish infected with A. hydrophila. In this study, the Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) method was used to identify active compounds, and scoring was carried out on the level of damage to the fish gills. The results of the phytochemical test showed that noni leaf extract contains compounds from the Terpenoid and Flavonoid groups, which are suspected of having antibacterial activity. Data analysis was carried out quantitatively using the Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) method to ensure the accuracy of the results. From histopathological analysis, several tissue damages such as vacuole degeneration, congestion, and necrosis were found. Observations showed that the optimal dose of mengkudu leaf extract for the treatment of infected milkfish was 360 ppm. From these results, it can be concluded that mengkudu leaf extract has the potential as a natural therapeutic agent to overcome Aeromonas hydrophila bacterial infections in milkfish (Chanos chanos).

Abstract

Fish is a biological resource rich in protein and amino acids, so it has an important value for public consumption. The freshness level of fish is highly dependent on post-harvest handling methods, especially in the killing process. This study examines the effect of three killing methods, namely ikejime, cooling with ice, and the technique of letting the fish flounder on the quality of red tilapia and mujair fish. The parameters observed include pH, organoleptic, and Total Volatile Base (TVB) levels as indicators of freshness. The results show that the ikejime method is the most effective in maintaining fish quality by reducing stress levels and quality decline. The method of cooling with ice is quite effective, while the technique of letting the fish flounder produces the lowest quality due to excessive stress on the fish.
