Abstract

This community service activity aims to reduce the community's dependence on chemical fertilizers which are increasingly expensive with the hope that this activity can improve the ability of people's knowledge in utilizing livestock manure which is not only left alone but must be processed so that it becomes useful as organic fertilizer for the purpose of increasing yields. harvest. The use of livestock manure which in this case is cow and goat manure as organic fertilizer is still very lacking among breeders. Almost 100% of farmers are not aware of the benefits of this animal manure as organic fertilizer because their focus is only on the livestock itself. Processing and utilizing livestock manure as organic fertilizer, so that people no longer depend on the use of chemical fertilizers. In this activity is to provide training to the community of livestock and farmer groups about making organic fertilizer from livestock manure (cows and goats). This activity is expected to train the community to be able to produce organic fertilizer that will be used by farmers, which has been a problem for farmers, namely crop failure caused by the community not being able to buy fertilizer due to the increasing price of chemical fertilizers. The method used is direct training to the group on the manufacture of organic fertilizer from animal waste using the fermentation method. The result of the implementation of the activity is that the community is very enthusiastic in participating in this activity. The community is interested in making/producing this fertilizer on their own, in addition to livestock manure, the community also intends to make this fertilizer themselves from waste or waste materials. Especially household waste based on the knowledge they have gained in this activity.

Abstract

Gorontalo Province is one of the provinces that has a wealth of natural resources, especially fishery and marine products. One area that has the highest fish production is Bilungala Village, Bone Bolango Regency. Fish is a food rich in protein, minerals, vitamins, and fatty acids. In addition, fish also contain omega-3 fatty acids and vitamin K which the body needs. All the nutritional content in fish is very influential on the growth and development of children. But in fact, the level of fish consumption in Indonesia is still very low compared to other largest fish-producing countries. Therefore, socialization is carried out through the use of marine fish as a source of nutrient-rich food. The purpose of this service is to provide information to the public about the nutritional content of fish, increase fish consumption in the community, and increase the hobby of eating fish. The location of service is carried out in Bulungala Village, Bonepantai District, Bone Bolano Regency, Gorontalo Province. The target of this service is the people of Bilungala Village, especially PKK women with activities carried out in November 2022. The activities consist of the preparation, implementation, and closing stages. In the preparatory stage, a survey was carried out in the village, then in the implementation stage, socialization was carried out to the community through the provision of material and ended with a discussion/question and answer regarding the material presented.

Abstract

West Bulotalangi Village is one of the villages in East Bulango District, Bone Bolango Regency. Most of the economic activities of the people of West Bulotalangi are engaged in the agricultural sector. The dominant people's livelihoods are farmers and ranchers. One of the efforts made by the community is catfish farming. However, catfish farmers are experiencing a problem, namely the price of circulating fish feed has increased while the price of catfish is relatively cheap. Therefore, to increase the selling price of catfish, several programs were held from KKN-T Merdeka Learning Campus students, namely making catfish feed so that it makes it easier for the community to cultivate catfish because the materials used are relatively cheap and easy to obtain, there is also processing of catfish into processed products which are one of the solutions to the problem to increase the economic value of catfish. In addition, in the agricultural sector, the program proposed by KKN-T MBKM students was the manufacture of BOKHASI fertilizer (Biological Rich Organic Material) by utilizing agricultural waste and then processing it into fertilizer. For this reason, efforts are needed to be able to increase the knowledge and skills of the people of West Bulotalangi Village related to making fertilizer, making fish feed, and strategies for developing processed products. The method used is the empowerment of the target group including learning techniques in the form of theory and simulation to the target community and also direct practice of the manufacturing process with students and the community. Keywords: Agricultural waste, catfish, fertilizer.

Abstract

West Dutohe Village is located in Kabila District, Bone Bolango Regency, Gorontalo Province, has a plantation area that is generally planted with banana trees so that it becomes a superior commodity for the village community. Banana liver was chosen as a product because of its very abundant availability in the village of West Dutohe. The PKK consists of 30 people who are interested in becoming entrepreneurs, but due to lack of direction and training, this business group is less productive in producing products that are worth selling. The absence of innovation in processing technology into various processed banana heart products of economic value such as sausages, meatballs, nuggets, and shredded banana liver is constrained by lack of knowledge and motivation. The Community Service Program in West Dutohe village aims to increase the motivation of mothers to become independent entrepreneurs through appropriate technology in the field of banana liver-based food processing. Training methods for processing various food products based on banana liver such as sausages, meatballs, and nuggets. The implementation of activities in training on production and innovation of banana liver-based products is very cooperative between trainers and partners, especially PKK mothers. The insights of partners and village officials are open and eager for the continuation of this program in the village of West Dutohe. The advantages of various liver-based processed products are very powerful because there is nothing similar in other areas so this product can create a novelty and culinary peculiarity in the western Village of Dutohe

Abstract

This community service discusses the importance of introducing science and technology to students at primary school age. The age range of primary school students is between seven and twelve years old, where children's development is continuous. During this time, students begin to recognise new objects around them and explore the world with natural curiosity. Children's talents develop in various aspects, including religious and moral beliefs, physical-motor, cognitive, verbal, social-emotional, and artistic abilities. the sample in this community service is elementary school students of Molotabu Village.  The survey results showed that as many as 78% of primary school students were able to identify the pictures that constitute science and technology, demonstrating their understanding of these basic concepts. Next, students are engaged in simple experiments using materials that are easily found around them. These experiments aim to give students hands-on experience in testing their hypotheses or ideas about how things work. In the simple experiment, about 60% of the students managed to carry it out well.
