Abstract

This research is motivated by the widespread violations of workers' rights regarding benefits and wages, which are frequently suspended or unpaid by companies due to the weak bargaining position of employees. Legally, an employment relationship obligates employers to fulfill the right to a decent living through wage components and allowances. The problem formulation in this study focuses on the legal protection provided to workers against the arrears of benefits and wages within the regulatory framework post-Reform. The research method employed is normative legal research using a statutory approach and a conceptual approach, utilizing primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials.The results indicate that legal protection for wages and benefits has been reinforced through Article 88A of the Job Creation Law and the Manpower Law, which mandates employers to pay wages according to the agreed-upon terms. Violations regarding these components, including arrears in Social Security (BPJS Ketenagakerjaan) contributions, constitute not only a breach of contract but are also subject to administrative and criminal sanctions, with a maximum of 8 years imprisonment under the BPJS Law. However, the effectiveness of law enforcement is still hindered by passive labor inspection functions and the lengthy litigation process in the Industrial Relations Court. In conclusion, while the regulatory instruments are sufficiently robust, more active and consistent government oversight and firm enforcement of sanctions are required. It is recommended to strengthen the supervisory function and simplify dispute resolution mechanisms to ensure that workers' normative rights are fully protected for the sake of creating harmonious and fair industrial relations.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze adaptive Human Resource (HR) planning strategies in addressing the challenges of the digital era, characterized by the rapid advancement of information and communication technology, including automation, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and remote work trends. This research employs a qualitative literature review approach to explore the paradigm shift from traditional HR management toward Digital Human Resource Management (Digital HRM). The findings indicate that HR planning strategies in the digital age are no longer focused solely on workforce quantity, but instead emphasize the use of People Analytics to predict talent needs and employee turnover, the implementation of reskilling and upskilling to bridge digital competency gaps, and the development of an agile work culture that supports organizational adaptability. The study concludes that organizational success in the digital era depends on the ability of management to align technological strategies with human potential development, where effective HR planning must balance technological efficiency with a human-centered approach to achieve sustainable competitive advantage.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of adding cornstarch at different concentrations on the physical quality of fried milk, including pH, moisture content, and yield. The research was conducted at the Laboratory of the Faculty of Animal Science, Universitas Jambi, on March 20–21, 2025, using an experimental method with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of four treatments and five replications, namely P0 (0%), P1 (5%), P2 (10%), and P3 (15%) based on milk weight. The production process involved heating the milk, adding cornstarch, stirring until thickened, molding, cooling, and frying. Data were collected through pH measurement using a pH meter, determination of moisture content using the thermogravimetric method, and yield calculation based on the ratio of final product weight to initial material weight. Data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) followed by Duncan’s Multiple Range Test if significant effects were observed. The results showed that the addition of cornstarch significantly affected pH, moisture content, and yield (p < 0.05). The pH value decreased from 6.59 in P0 to 6.44 in P3, while the moisture content increased from 16.93% to 29.81%. The highest yield was observed in P1 (11.95%) and decreased in P3 (10.48%). Based on these results, it can be concluded that the addition of cornstarch significantly affects the physical quality of fried milk, and a 15% concentration is recommended to achieve a better texture.

Abstract

A Fixed-Term Employment Agreement (PKWT) is a type of employment contract explicitly regulated under Indonesian labor law. Following the enactment of Law Number 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation and its related regulations, including Government Regulation Number 35 of 2021, additional provisions have been established regarding the obligation to provide compensation and damages to PKWT workers/laborers. This study aims to examine the legal provisions concerning the granting of compensation and damages in PKWT in accordance with the Job Creation Law. The methodology used is normative legal research, employing both statutory and conceptual approaches. The results of the study indicate that the Job Creation Law requires employers to provide compensation at the end of a PKWT based on the duration of employment and obliges the payment of damages if either party terminates the PKWT before the agreed contract period expires. The implementation of this regulation continues to face obstacles due to the lack of legal awareness among employers and the insufficient supervisory measures.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of marriage law in reducing divorce rates in Indonesia and to identify the factors influencing its level of effectiveness. Marriage law in Indonesia is regulated under Law Number 1 of 1974 concerning Marriage, which aims to establish a happy and enduring family. However, in practice, divorce rates continue to show an increasing trend. Data from Statistics Indonesia recorded 438,168 divorce cases in 2025. This research employs a qualitative approach with a normative juridical method and a descriptive-analytical nature. The data were obtained through literature study by analyzing statutory regulations, legal theories, and relevant academic sources. The results indicate that marriage law in Indonesia has not been fully effective in reducing divorce rates. This is influenced by several factors, including the substance of the law that is not fully responsive, the role of law enforcement, low public legal awareness, limited facilities and infrastructure, as well as changes in social values and norms. Nevertheless, the law still plays an important role in regulating and providing legal protection for the parties, particularly in divorce proceedings and their legal consequences. Therefore, more comprehensive efforts are needed through regulatory improvements, enhancement of public legal awareness, and strengthening the role of social institutions to increase the effectiveness of marriage law in maintaining family integrity in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research is driven by the low learning outcomes and conceptual understanding of fifth-grade students at SD PUI Cicurug regarding the human respiratory system, caused by the continued use of conventional teaching models. This study aims to determine the effect of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model on student learning outcomes in that subject matter. The research method employed is quantitative with a Quasi-Experimental Design, specifically the Non-equivalent Control Group Design. The population consisted of all 20 fifth-grade students at SD PUI Cicurug, selected using a Simple Random Sampling technique and divided into an experimental class (10 students) and a control class (10 students). Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, documentation, and validated objective test instruments. The results indicated a significant increase in the experimental class, with a post-test mean score of 91.5, substantially outperforming the control class, which achieved 78.5. Statistical analysis using the Paired Sample T-test yielded a significance value of 0.001 (p<0,05) leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis {(H}_o) and the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis {(H}_a) In conclusion, the application of the Project Based Learning (PJBL) model has a significant impact on improving student learning outcomes, where the creation of real projects bridges the gap between abstract science concepts and concrete, meaningful understanding.

Abstract

The wage system is an important aspect of the employment relationship between workers and employers. Wages are not only a source of livelihood for workers but also a form of appreciation for the labor and contributions given in the work process. In practice, the implementation of wage systems in companies often raises various issues, such as non-compliance with minimum wage regulations, delays in wage payments, and a lack of transparency in determining wage structures and scales. This study aims to analyze the implementation of wage systems in companies and examine their compliance with labor law regulations in Indonesia. The research method used is normative legal research with statutory and conceptual approaches. The data sources consist of primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials obtained through library research. The results show that the wage system in companies has generally been regulated clearly in legislation, particularly in labor laws and related regulations. However, in practice, there are still several obstacles in its implementation that may lead to industrial relations disputes. Therefore, companies are required to comply with labor law provisions, and effective government supervision is needed to ensure the fulfillment of workers' rights and the creation of harmonious industrial relations.

Abstract

This research analyzes the queuing time and queuing model at the X airline passenger baggage check-in counter at Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta Airport and its influence on passenger satisfaction. The research results show that the average queue time at the check-in counter varies between 7 to 25 minutes, depending on peak hours. Some factors that influence queue time include the number of passengers arriving at the same time, the availability of check-in staff, and the number of counters open. Increasing the number of check-in counters and staff skills can increase queue time efficiency and passenger satisfaction.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the human development index, income inequality, and economic growth on crime rates. The independent variables in this study include the human development index, income inequality, and economic growth. While the dependent variable is the crime rate. This study uses secondary data in the form of panel data (time series and cross-section) for the period 2015-2024 with a panel data regression method through the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) approach. The results show that all variables simultaneously have a significant effect on crime. Partially, the human development index has a negative and significant effect, income inequality has no significant effect, while economic growth has a positive and significant effect on crime rates in the regencies/cities of Jambi Province.

Abstract

Background: Inappropriate complementary feeding (CF) practices remain a major contributing factor to impaired weight growth in infants. Objective: This study aimed to determine the effect of complementary feeding assistance on weight gain among infants aged 6 to 10 months in the working area of Karangtengah Primary Health Center, Demak Regency. Methods: A quasi-experimental study with a post-test only control group design was conducted among infants aged 6–10 months who were assigned to intervention and control groups, with three months of complementary feeding assistance and data analyzed using the Mann–Whitney test. Results and Discussion: Infants in the intervention group showed a significantly higher mean weight gain compared to the control group (0.4 kg vs 0.2 kg), indicating that complementary feeding assistance effectively supports infant growth. Conclusion and Recommendation: Complementary feeding assistance has a positive effect on infant weight gain and is recommended to be integrated sustainably into routine maternal and child health services, particularly through community health posts.
