Abstract

This study aims to explore the potential of the Incung script as a local learning resource and a vehicle for developing an entrepreneurial spirit for students at SMA 4 Kerinci. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the research was conducted through interviews with history teachers and students, observations of teaching practices, and analysis of curriculum documents and local culture-based entrepreneurial activities. The results indicate that integrating the Incung script into local history learning can increase students' motivation and understanding of Kerinci's cultural heritage, as well as open opportunities for developing creative products based on the Incung script (such as crafts and batik with Incung motifs). This study addresses specific teaching needs, access to entrepreneurship training, and the lack of systematic curriculum integration. The study concludes that utilizing the Incung script as a learning resource and as a basis for entrepreneurship has significant potential for enhancing local history knowledge and Incung-based learning, as well as partnerships with local MSMEs for culture-based entrepreneurship programs.

Abstract

This study discusses the concept of habituation (riyadhah) in character education according to Imam Al Ghazali and its relevance to modern education. The research employed a qualitative-descriptive approach using the library research method through the study of Al Ghazali’s works, especially Ihya’ ‘Ulumuddin, along with various related studies. The findings reveal that riyadhah is a method of spiritual training carried out gradually, consistently, and continuously so that virtuous values become ingrained habits within individuals. According to Al Ghazali, character education aims to develop noble morals oriented toward faith and devotion to Allah while also shaping good personality traits in social life. The implementation of riyadhah can be carried out through role modeling, habituation of worship, supervision, and advice within the family, school, and community environments. This study also finds that the success of riyadhah-based character education is strongly influenced by the synergy and consistency of all educational environments. The inhibiting factors include lack of parental supervision, limited religious education in schools, social environmental influences, and weak role models. Therefore, Al Ghazali’s concept of riyadhah remains highly relevant in fostering religious, disciplined, and noble character in the modern era.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the development of educational institutions integrated with social and cultural values in creating a humanistic, adaptive, and socially relevant education system. The study employed a literature review method by analyzing journals, books, and scholarly articles related to social and cultural value-based education. The findings indicate that the integration of social and cultural values plays an important role in shaping students’ character, strengthening cultural identity, and increasing social awareness. In addition, the implementation of these values can create an inclusive and contextual learning environment. However, its implementation still faces challenges such as globalization, social change, and limited understanding of local culture. Therefore, strengthening culture-based curricula, improving educators’ competencies, and enhancing collaboration between schools and communities are necessary.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze in depth the information-seeking behavior of students and college students in fulfilling their information needs at the South Sumatra Provincial Library Service. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach using observation, in-depth interviews with six informants, and documentation as data collection techniques. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results reveal significant differences between school students and university students in their information-seeking behavior. School students tend to remain at basic stages such as starting and browsing, lacking systematic planning and experiencing difficulties in utilizing information retrieval tools such as OPAC. In contrast, university students demonstrate more advanced behaviors, including differentiating, monitoring, and verifying, indicating a more selective and strategic approach in processing information.

Abstract

This study discusses conflict management and decision-making from the perspective of the hadiths of Prophet Muhammad SAW. Conflict is a common phenomenon in organizations, including Islamic educational institutions, which can reduce productivity and harmony if not managed properly. Therefore, an approach is needed that is not only managerial in nature but also based on Islamic values. This study aims to identify the concepts of conflict management and decision-making based on the hadiths of the Prophet and their implementation in organizational life and Islamic educational institutions. The research method used in this study is library research with a qualitative approach. Data were obtained from the Qur’an, hadiths, books, journals, and various scientific references related to conflict management and decision-making in Islam. The data were analyzed descriptively to understand the values contained in the hadiths related to conflict resolution and fair and wise leadership. The results of the study show that Islam offers several strategies for conflict resolution, such as negotiation, tabayyun (clarification), deliberation (musyawarah), tahkim (mediation), and ishlah (reconciliation). The hadiths of the Prophet also emphasize the importance of good communication, peace, and listening to all parties before making decisions. In addition, decision-making in the perspective of hadith must be based on the principles of justice and wisdom so that the decisions made do not lead to injustice or create new conflicts. In conclusion, conflict management and decision-making based on hadith have strong relevance in building harmonious, fair, and humane organizations. Islamic values such as honesty, deliberation, justice, and peace can serve as guidelines for leaders in creating a better organizational environment oriented toward collective welfare.

Abstract

This study aims to reconstruct a systematic and operational framework of dhawabith al-tafsir al-isyari (methodological boundaries of Sufi interpretation) by synthesizing scholarly debates surrounding the legitimacy of Sufi Qur'anic exegesis. The research employs a qualitative approach through library research, utilizing primary sources comprising classical Ulumul Qur'an texts, namely Al-Itqan fi 'Ulum al-Qur'an by al-Suyuti, Mabahis fi 'Ulum al-Qur'an by Manna' al-Qattan, and Manahil al-'Irfan fi 'Ulum al-Qur'an by al-Zarqani, supplemented by relevant secondary sources from contemporary academic journals. Data were analyzed using descriptive-analytical methods through comparative examination of scholarly views across different periods. The findings reveal that Sufi exegesis (tafsir isyari) developed in two main variants (nazari (speculative) and isyari (moderate)) and has been subject to a long-standing scholarly debate that is fundamentally methodological rather than substantive in nature. Both rejecting and accepting scholars share three common grounds: the primacy of the literal (zahir) meaning, the rejection of Bathiniyah interpretation, and the importance of the exegete's personal qualification. Building on this convergence, this study reconstructs six operational dhawabith: non-negation of the literal meaning, support from valid scriptural evidence, non-contradiction with Islamic law and reason, prohibition of exclusivist claims over inner meanings, semantic-thematic coherence with the Qur'anic text, and the exegete's scholarly and spiritual integrity. The novelty of this research lies in its shift from descriptive-polemical discourse to a normative-constructive evaluative framework, providing Islamic higher education institutions with a practical instrument for critically and proportionally assessing Sufi exegetical works.

Abstract

Ketahanan Pangan merupakan peristiwa dimana terpenuhinya pangan bagi warga negara, tercermin dari tersedianya pangan yang cukup, baik jumlah maupun kualitasnya, aman bergizi, merata, dan terjangkau serta tidak bertentangan dengan agama, keyakinan, budaya masyarakat, sehingga dapat hidup sehat, aktif, dan produktif secara berkelanjutan. Hadis yang digunakan dalam pembahasan ialah tentang pentingnya pengelolaan lahan untuk dikelola sebagaimana mestinya agar ekosistem alami bekerja. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian pustaka (Library Researc), dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah hadis, buku dan jurnal yang terkait dengan judul demi keabsahan data yang disajikan.  Pengelolaan sumber daya alam memang penting bagi kehidupan makhluk hidup, karena untuk menangani peristiwa krisis ekonomi. Sebab pengelolaan lahan yang baik akan menjadi perputaran roda ekonomi bagi manusia serta memberikan dampak positif terhadap alam. Sumber daya alam menjadi instrumen penting untuk menjawab fenomena krisis ekonomi, serta tidak bergantung pada sistem birokrasi yang tidak menentu bagaimana nasib kedepan. Sehingga penting untuk menjaga kestabilan ekonomi lewat pengelolaan lahan pertanian dengan memaksimalkan sumber daya.

Abstract

This article aims to examine the potential of Gedung Sate as an authentic, varied and meaningful learning resource for history education students. The method used is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with a descriptive qualitative approach, analyzing 15 selected articles from 100 articles obtained through the Sinta, Scopus and Google Scholar databases for the years 2000–2026. The analysis was carried out using a thematic approach which focused on three main themes, namely historical value, architectural value and the potential of Gedung Sate as a learning resource. The results of the study show that Gedung Sate has significant historical value as a silent witness to Dutch East Indies colonialism and the struggle for Indonesian independence, unique architectural value as a blend of the Indo-European Stijl style between European and Asian traditions, as well as great educational potential through various learning models such as field visits, primary source analysis, and interviews. Since transforming into a museum, Gedung Sate has increasingly opened up space for innovative and contextual history learning. Even though there are challenges in the form of time and cost constraints, the synergy between administrators, lecturers and students is considered capable of optimizing its use. It was concluded that Gedung Sate is worthy of being a meaningful source of local history learning in forming historical awareness and love of the homeland of history education students.

Abstract

The low problem-solving and mathematical representation abilities of elementary school students in mathematics learning are problems that require special attention. This study aims to: (1) describe the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach in improving elementary school students' problem-solving and mathematical representation abilities; (2) identify the benefits of RME on students' mathematical problem-solving abilities through the use of real contexts; and (3) analyze the challenges faced in implementing RME in the classroom. This study uses a literature study method with a content analysis approach to relevant scientific articles and journals published in the last five years. The results show that the implementation of RME can improve students' problem-solving abilities by providing them with opportunities to solve mathematical problems related to real life. In addition, RME is also effective in developing mathematical representations, such as the use of symbols, images, and tables, which help students understand mathematical concepts better. However, challenges applied in implementing RME include time constraints, lack of appropriate open materials, and differences in students' abilities in understanding contexts. This study confirms that RME is a highly relevant and effective approach in creating more meaningful, contextual, and active mathematics learning at the elementary school level.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought significant changes to education in Indonesia, particularly in the learning process for children at the elementary school level. The transition from face-to-face to online learning has forced students to adapt to new, technology-based learning methods. This situation not only impacts the learning process but also affects children's psychological well-being during learning. This study used a quantitative method with a descriptive correlational approach to determine the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on children's psychological well-being during learning. Data were obtained through questionnaires, observations, and documentation with student respondents participating in online learning. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive analysis and simple statistical tests using SPSS or Microsoft Excel to examine the relationship between the variables studied. The results show that online learning during the pandemic has impacted children's psychological well-being, such as decreased enthusiasm for learning, boredom, stress, and difficulty concentrating. This is influenced by a lack of social interaction, excessive use of digital devices, and limited parental guidance during the learning process at home.
