Abstract

This article describes the strengthening of students' active learning through the implementation of Problem Based Learning (PBL) during the educational service and School Field Introduction Program (PLP) at SMA Negeri 6 Palembang. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach based on classroom observation, photo documentation, and field notes. The focus was not to measure learning outcomes statistically, but to portray how PBL was planned and implemented in a real school context. PBL was applied by placing contextual problems at the beginning of learning, guiding students to discuss in groups, encouraging them to ask questions, present ideas, respond to peers, and complete learning tasks. The findings show that students' active learning appeared in several forms: paying attention to explanations and media, participating in group discussion, sharing opinions, presenting group work, and completing assignments after discussion. PLP students played an important role as learning facilitators who provided prompts, accompanied small groups, and helped teachers maintain classroom interaction. Several obstacles were found, such as uneven student confidence, limited time, repeated guidance needs, and the importance of clear media. These challenges were addressed through concise instructions, small-group assistance, simple learning media, and closing reflection.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the concept of religious moderation from an Islamic perspective and its implementation in daily life. Religious moderation, known in Islam as wasathiyah, represents a balanced, just, and moderate approach to religious practice that avoids extremism (ghuluw). This research employs a qualitative approach using library research methods, examining primary sources such as the Qur'an and Hadith, as well as secondary sources including exegesis books, scholarly texts, and relevant academic journals. The findings indicate that the concept of Islam as a rahmatan lil 'alamin (mercy to all worlds) serves as the primary foundation of religious moderation. The foundational basis of religious moderation in the Qur'an is reflected in Surah Al-Baqarah verse 143, which designates the Muslim community as ummatan wasathan (a justly balanced community); Surah An-Nisa verse 171, which prohibits extremism in religion; and Surah Al-Ma'idah verse 8, which emphasizes justice. Regarding Hadith, Prophet Muhammad SAW forbade excessive behavior in religious matters and stressed the importance of compassion as a principle of moderation. The principles of religious moderation include justice, balance (tawazun), tolerance, and compassion (rahmah). The implementation of religious moderation in daily life can be realized through just behavior in all matters, tolerance toward differences, showing compassion to others, and balancing worldly and spiritual affairs. This study concludes that religious moderation is essential for maintaining interfaith harmony within Indonesia's diverse society, while also serving as a bulwark against extremism and intolerance committed in the name of religion.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has given rise to cryptocurrencies, or crypto assets, as a new form of asset in the modern financial world. From the perspective of Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh muamalah), crypto continues to exist because it offers benefits, but it also carries elements of uncertainty, speculation, and a high risk of loss. Some scholars believe that crypto should not be used as a medium of exchange because it does not meet the requirements of a clear and stable currency. However, as an asset or commodity, crypto can be viewed more flexibly as long as it does not contain elements of usury, gharar, and maysir. Therefore, the assessment of crypto in Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh muamalah) requires considering the intended use, level of benefit, clarity of object, and compliance with Sharia principles. Therefore, crypto is viewed not only from a technological perspective but also from the perspective of fairness, benefit, and protection for transacting parties.

Abstract

This research discusses the integration of Islamic knowledge and science as a paradigm that combines Islamic sciences with modern science within a unified epistemological framework. The background is the dichotomy between religious knowledge and general knowledge, which remains a problem in Islamic education. The objectives are to analyze the epistemological foundations, identify integration models, describe implementation, analyze challenges, and examine impacts on students. The method used is library research with a qualitative-descriptive approach. The findings show that knowledge integration has strong foundations in the holistic concept of Islamic knowledge and the principle of tauhid (monotheism). Various integration models have been developed, such as Al-Faruqi's Islamization of knowledge, Al-Attas's Islamization of present-day knowledge, and the integration-interconnection model. Its implementation faces epistemological, human resource, institutional, and socio-cultural challenges. Nevertheless, integration-based learning has positive impacts on conceptual understanding, learning motivation, and character formation of students. This research concludes that knowledge integration is an urgent necessity for the advancement of Islamic education and civilization.

Abstract

This article describes the implementation of the traditional game terompah panjang in physical education learning on fitness activity material at SD Negeri 158 Palembang. The study was written from the experience of School Field Introduction Program students from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas PGRI Palembang. A descriptive qualitative approach was used because the focus of the article was to present the learning process naturally, not to measure student achievement with numerical data. Data were collected through direct observation, photo documentation, and field notes during the learning activity. The results showed that terompah panjang provided a meaningful movement experience for students. During the game, students were encouraged to move actively, maintain balance, adjust their steps, and coordinate their body movements with the rhythm of their group. The activity also created opportunities for students to practice cooperation, communication, discipline, and sportsmanship. Based on observation, students began to show more directed movements when they followed group instructions and maintained a shared rhythm. Their sportsmanship appeared through obeying rules, waiting for turns, encouraging friends, and accepting the game results. Therefore, terompah panjang can be used as an alternative learning medium that combines physical activity, local culture, and character education in physical education.

Abstract

The concept of jidāl in the Qur’an represents a significant argumentative method that plays a strategic role in Islamic preaching (da‘wah). However, in contemporary practice, jidāl is often misunderstood as a form of confrontational and emotional debate, deviating from Qur’anic ethical principles. This study aims to examine the concept of jidāl al-Qur’ān as a method of da‘wah by focusing on the divine patterns of arguentation embedded within Qur’anic verses. This research employs a qualitative approach through library research, utilizing a thematic exegesis (tafsīr mawḍū‘ī) method. Primary data are derived from the Qur’an and classical tafsir works, including Jāmi‘ al-Bayān by al-Ṭabarī, Tafsīr Ibn Kathīr, Al-Jāmi‘ li Aḥkām al-Qur’ān by al-Qurṭubī, and Mafātīḥ al-Ghayb by Fakhr al-Dīn al-Rāzī. Secondary data consist of literature on Qur’anic studies and contemporary Islamic communication. The analysis involves identifying relevant verses on jidāl, classifying their forms, and examining their argumentative structures and purposes. The findings indicate that jidāl al-Qur’ān is a da‘wah method grounded in rational argumentation, ethical communication, and persuasive engagement. The Qur’an employs various argumentative techniques, such as rhetorical questioning, analogy (qiyās), logical affirmation (taqrīr), and moral reminders (tazkīr), aiming to guide humanity toward truth without coercion. Furthermore, the Qur’an distinguishes between praiseworthy (jidāl maḥmūd) and blameworthy (jidāl madhmūm) argumentation, emphasizing the principle of jidāl billatī hiya aḥsan as stated in Q.S. An-Naḥl:125. This study concludes that jidāl in the Qur’an is not merely a debate technique but a systematic, ethical, and transformative method of communication in da‘wah. In the contemporary context, this concept is highly relevant as a solution to the crisis of argumentative ethics, particularly in digital spaces marked by polarization and discursive conflict. Therefore, revitalizing the Qur’anic method of jidāl is essential in fostering constructive and value-based dialogue in modern society.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the collaborative strategies of principals and teachers in building a quality culture of Islamic education through the Education Quality Assurance System (SPMP) at MTsN 1 Sidoarjo. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach using observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The informants consisted of the principal, teachers, and educational staff. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, supported by triangulation. The findings indicate that a quality culture is developed through participatory planning, academic supervision, periodic evaluation, and teacher competency development. Supporting factors include strong teamwork, effective communication, and participatory leadership, while administrative burdens and limited time become the main obstacles. Effective collaboration between principals and teachers plays an important role in sustaining the quality culture of Islamic education.

Abstract

many human beings are intelligent and intellectual but possess unpraiseworthy morals/character (akhlak), leading them to misuse the intelligence they possess. This indicator has become a portrait of the unbalancing act between intellectual development and moral development. Morality/Character towards Allah (Akhlak to Allah) can be interpreted as the attitude or actions that should be performed by humans as creatures, towards Allah as the creator. These attitudes or actions have the characteristics of moral actions as mentioned above, thus, instilling morality in the child's soul by providing true guidance and useful advice so that the teachings they receive permeate their soul. When it has integrated, it will form a personality within them that constantly performs noble deeds, goodness, and a fondness for working for the benefit of the homeland, the state, and the nation.

Abstract

This article describes the teaching practice experiences of Performing Arts Education students during the School Field Introduction Program (PLP) at SMA Pembina Palembang. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach because the main focus was to portray the learning process, not to measure it through numerical data. Data were drawn from school and classroom observations, field notes, photo documentation, and student teachers’ reflections during PLP activities. The findings show that PLP provided direct experience in recognizing the school environment, planning arts learning activities, using learning media, guiding students in class and on the school field, and reflecting on teaching with supervising teachers and lecturers. In performing arts learning, student teachers were required to combine pedagogical skills with demonstrations, clear instructions, expression, movement practice, and classroom management. Students’ responses appeared through attention to media, participation in movement practice, group cooperation, and willingness to perform, although some still needed encouragement and repeated guidance. The article concludes that teaching practice at SMA Pembina Palembang helped student teachers develop pedagogical awareness, creativity, communication, and reflective habits as prospective performing arts teachers.

Abstract

Text research design constitutes a systematic framework used to investigate written documents, manuscripts, literary works, historical records, and digital texts. This study aims to examine the conceptual foundations, methodological approaches, and practical implementation of text-based research in qualitative studies. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach through a literature review method based on the framework proposed by Creswell. Data were collected from books, scientific journals, research reports, and relevant academic documents discussing text analysis, discourse analysis, corpus linguistics, and qualitative methodology. The findings indicate that text research design has evolved from traditional philological and hermeneutic approaches into more contemporary models such as content analysis, discourse analysis, corpus analysis, and narrative analysis. Furthermore, technological advancements have significantly expanded opportunities for text-based research through digital corpora and analytical software. A well-structured research design contributes to the validity, reliability, and scientific rigor of qualitative inquiry.
