Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital di era kontemporer menghadirkan tantangan sekaligus peluang strategis bagi dunia pendidikan Islam. Penelitian ini menganalisis transformasi pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) berbasis teknologi digital dalam meningkatkan karakter religius peserta didik di Madrasah Tsanawiyah Swasta (MTsS) 'Aisyiyah Sumatera Utara. Melalui integrasi kerangka kerja Islamic Digital Character Education (IDCE), kajian ini mengeksplorasi bagaimana pilar-pilar teologis Islam yang meliputi ilmu ('ilm), iman, dan amal diselaraskan secara sistematis dengan tiga dimensi kompetensi digital yaitu literasi digital, etika digital, dan kreativitas digital. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan ekosistem digital madrasah—seperti platform Rapor Digital Madrasah (RDM) online yang adaptif terhadap regulasi kurikulum terbaru, platform pembelajaran aktif berbasis Quizizz dan Canva, serta program pelaporan ibadah mandiri melalui Mutaba'ah Yaumiyah digital—mampu menumbuhkan kesadaran beragama peserta didik pada dimensi kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik. Kepemimpinan kepala madrasah yang visioner dan internalisasi nilai "Islam Berkemajuan" khas gerakan 'Aisyiyah menjadi pilar penopang utama yang menjamin terciptanya integrasi harmonis antara kemajuan teknologi dan keluhuran akhlak peserta didik di lingkungan madrasah.

Abstract

Religious strengthening activities through Muslimah Ta'lim assemblies represent one of the most effective grass-roots methods for deepening women's Islamic understanding while simultaneously reinforcing communal bonds (silaturahmi). This study employs a systematic literature review method to analyze the role of gender-based Muslimah Ta'lim in the context of Community Service Activities (KKN) at Jami' Nurul Iman Mosque congregation. Drawing on theories of gender in Islam, social learning, and Islamic community empowerment, this article demonstrates that Muslimah Ta'lim functions not merely as a religious education forum but also as a strategic space for the construction of women's religious identity, the strengthening of gender justice values in the Muslim family and community, and the cultivation of productive silaturahmi networks. The findings underscore the importance of integrating gender-sensitive approaches into the curriculum and facilitation of Ta'lim assemblies, so that women participants not only improve their religious literacy but also develop a deeper awareness of their rights and roles in family and social life.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze Islamic Religious Education from the perspective of symbolic interactionism theory. This approach emphasizes that students’ religious understanding is formed through social interactions with teachers, peers, families, and the surrounding community. This research employed a qualitative method with a library research approach. The data were collected from various literature sources such as books, journals, and scientific documents related to symbolic interactionism and Islamic education. The results indicate that the application of symbolic interactionism theory in Islamic Religious Education learning creates a more dialogical, contextual, and meaningful learning process. Teachers play an important role as facilitators in building positive symbolic interactions so that Islamic values can be internalized in students’ daily lives. Furthermore, this approach positively contributes to the development of religious character such as honesty, discipline, responsibility, and social awareness.

Abstract

This study aims to systematically examine the psychological approach to the study of religion, including its definition, the relationship between psychology and religion, and its application in understanding human religious behavior. This research employs a library research method by collecting and analyzing data from various primary and secondary sources such as books, scientific journals, and relevant previous studies. The findings indicate that the psychological approach to the study of religion focuses on human behavior, inner experiences, and mental conditions without judging the doctrinal truth of any religion. The relationship between psychology and religion is complementary, where religion influences individuals' mental health and psychological well-being, while psychology helps explain the mechanisms of belief formation and the development of religiosity. The application of this approach includes the analysis of religious motivation, understanding of spiritual experiences, the study of religious development across the lifespan, religious coping, and the integration of spirituality into counseling and psychotherapy. In conclusion, the psychological approach makes a significant contribution to understanding religious phenomena empirically and scientifically.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to increase children's interest in learning the Qur'an through a Qur'an reading guidance program at Nurul Iman Mosque, Lingkar Timur. Based on asset mapping using the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, the main issue identified was not the lack of facilities but the limited variety of teaching methods. The mosque possesses significant community assets, including the active participation of mosque youth, enthusiastic women's study groups, and strong support from the mosque management and parents. The program was implemented through four stages: Discovery (asset mapping), Dream (exploring the community's vision), Design (collaborative program planning), and Destiny (implementation and sustainability commitment). The results demonstrated significant improvements, with children's attendance increasing by 175%, learning interest scores rising from 3.9 to 8.6, and Qur'an reading skills improving substantially, as four children who were previously unable to recognize the Arabic letters (Hijaiyah) became fluent readers. Furthermore, the social impacts included the revitalization of the mosque's role as a center for character education and the strengthening of social capital within the Lingkar Timur community. The Qur'an reading guidance program proved to be an effective and sustainable asset-based community empowerment model.

Abstract

Carl Rogers' humanistic psychological approach has been highly influential and beneficial to the learning system. His ideas also tend to form the basis for the development of this approach.Student-Centered Learning(SCL), which is now increasingly used by various educational institutions, is replacing the classroom learning model.Teacher-Centered Learning(TCL). This study aims to examine the advantages of the SCL-based learning model through an analysis of Carl Rogers' humanistic psychology approach and the values contained in the Qur'an, both of which have similarities in their basic principles. There are two problems in this study, namely: (1) How is Carl Rogers' humanistic psychology approach learning model?, (2) How is the analysis of the Qur'an's review of Carl Rogers' humanistic psychology approach learning model? This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study type of research.(library research). The method used is This research uses a descriptive analysis method that will be used to examine the verses of the Quran related to the Carl Rogers learning approach model. The data collection technique in this research is carried out through documentation studies or library research. The research results show that (1) Carl Rogers' learning model places students as the center of learning, with an emphasis on subjective experience, self-actualization, and authentic relationships in an empathetic and supportive learning environment. (2) The Qur'an does not contradict this approach, but rather enriches the direction of education towards spiritual, moral, and intellectual perfection within the framework of devotion to Allah SWT.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the lived experiences of academic burnout and the challenges of Qur'an memorization (tahfizh) among students of the Qur'anic Studies and Exegesis program, employing a qualitative phenomenological approach with data collected through in-depth interviews with purposively selected informants based on their active participation in the tahfizh program and observable indications of burnout, which were then analyzed using thematic analysis to identify patterns and themes reflecting the informants' subjective experiences. The findings reveal that students experienced various forms of academic burnout driven by heavy memorization loads, performance-related pressure, and insufficient recovery time, while the most frequently reported tahfizh challenges included difficulties in maintaining memorization consistency, concentration disruptions due to fatigue, declining intrinsic motivation, and inadequate social support, all of which directly and adversely affected the quality and quantity of students' Qur'anic memorization. This research is expected to provide deeper understanding for Islamic education stakeholders in designing tahfizh support systems that are attentive to students' mental well-being, as well as to serve as a foundation for developing more humane and sustainable academic policies.

Abstract

This research discusses the sociological approach in the study of religion, which is an analytical method that views religion as a social phenomenon that lives and develops within society. The method used in this research is library research with a historical-factual and analytical-theoretical approach as well as descriptive-qualitative analysis. The results of this research show that classical sociological figures such as Emile Durkheim, Max Weber, and Karl Marx have laid strong theoretical foundations for the development of the sociology of religion. Durkheim emphasized the function of religion in creating social solidarity and community integration, Weber viewed religion as a motivation for social action and economic change, while Marx criticized religion as part of the ideological structure related to power relations. Furthermore, modern theories such as secularization theory, rationalization, social constructionism, symbolic interactionism, and rational choice theory expand the understanding of religious dynamics in the modern and global era. The conclusion of this research is that the sociological approach provides a comprehensive analytical framework for understanding religion objectively, critically, and contextually, although it has limitations in addressing the spiritual dimension and normative truth. This approach should be used dialogically with other approaches to produce a more complete and balanced understanding.

Abstract

This research discusses the classification of knowledge in the perspective of Al-Farabi and Al-Ghazali and examines its relevance to the problem of dichotomy of knowledge in general education in Indonesia. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach based on library research with comparative-philosophical analysis. The results of this research show that Al-Farabi classified knowledge rationally and hierarchically by emphasizing the structure and logical relationships between fields of knowledge, while Al-Ghazali classified knowledge based on moral dimensions and ethical responsibility through the division of fardhu 'ain and fardhu kifayah. Despite their different approaches, both reject the separation between rational aspects and moral values in knowledge. The conclusion of this research is that in the context of Indonesian education, the thoughts of these two figures are relevant to overcome the fragmentation of knowledge and pragmatic orientation of modern education. The integration between Al-Farabi's rational structure and Al-Ghazali's ethical foundation can serve as a conceptual basis for developing a more holistic education oriented towards character formation.

Abstract

This research discusses the influence of knowledge in Islamic civilization on the West, particularly during the Islamic Golden Age (8th to 14th centuries CE). The method used in this research is library research with a historical-factual approach and descriptive-qualitative analysis. The results show that Islamic civilization experienced rapid progress in various fields of knowledge such as mathematics, medicine, astronomy, philosophy, and technology. Figures such as Al-Khawarizmi, Ibn Sina, Al-Biruni, and Ibn Rushd produced monumental works that became world references. Islamic knowledge spread to the West through various channels, such as the translation of scientific works in Toledo, trade interactions, cultural relations, and through the Andalusian region which became an educational center. The conclusion of this research is that the influence of Islamic knowledge provided an important foundation for the development of science in the West and became one of the main factors that gave birth to the Renaissance in Europe. Thus, Islamic civilization played an important role in shaping the development of modern science as known today.
