Abstract

This study aims to determine the state of financial redulation of grocery stores in Malang and the opinions of business people regarding the application of accounting-based financial science. This research was conducted using a descriptive method with a qualitative approach, which is based on the results of observations and interviews with informants. Three business owners of grocery stores in Malang became informants in this study, namely informant A, informant B, and informant C. The three informants did not have basic knowledge related to the financial management of grocery stores in Malang. The three informants do not have basic knowledge related to financial management, nor have they participated in financial training from government agencies or private agencies. Based on the results of the brief research above, it can be concluded that the MSME players of Grocery Stores in Malang who have been selected by the researcher, do not fully know the importance of applying accounting science in managing their business finances. In addition, there must be support from the government to facilitate this accounting-based financial management knowledge, taking into account the opinions of business actors, if they cannot leave the business to attend training, it can be facilitated online.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Jayapura City play an important role in the local economy, but they face various challenges in increasing their competitiveness in the local market. This study aims to analyze MSME development strategies in order to increase their competitiveness, and explore government support in the process. The approach used is qualitative with in-depth interviews and participant observation as data collection techniques. The results of the study indicate that the main challenges of MSMEs in Jayapura include limited market access, low managerial capacity, and lack of product innovation. However, MSMEs have implemented product differentiation strategies and utilized digital technology for marketing. Government support in the form of training and access to capital is quite helpful, but limited infrastructure and capital procedures are still obstacles. This study provides recommendations for increasing managerial capacity, expanding market access, and utilizing technology to increase the competitiveness of MSMEs in Jayapura City.

Abstract

Rainfall is hydrology event that occurred seasonal in every year. There are two seasons occurred in Indonesia, dry season and rainy season. The analysis of rainfall characteristics plays a significant role to predict the rainfall occurrence and probability of flash flood. In this paper, rainfall analysis using Hydrognomon v.4.0 will provide hydrology data information, such as rainfall intensity and time series. The highest maximum rainfall of 526 mm (in 2010) has a return period of about 11 years. This means that rainfall of this magnitude can be expected to occur once every 11 years. The maximum rainfall of 425 mm (2013) has a return period of about 5.5 years, indicating a more frequent occurrence than the highest rainfall. Thus, it makes data trend rainfall with higher values tends to have longer return periods, indicating infrequent intensity. However, rainfall with lower intensity tends to have shorter return periods and occurring more frequently.

Abstract

Hope of Village-Owned Enterprises applied by the grobogan reservoir tourism manager was able to empower local communities to be more productive whose output of the grobogan reservoir became a business entity owned by Bendo village which provided the largest village income outperforming the other Bendo village companies considering that other Bendo village businesses suffered losses like the rice barn Village-Owned Enterprises. The purpose of this study is to understand and describe: Strategies of Village-Owned Enterprises in Empowering Local Communities. Study of Grobogan Reservoir Tourism Management in Bendo Village, Kapas District, Bojonegoro Regency. The research method used is qualitative and the research subjects are informants who are clearly related to their duties and functions who can provide accurate and significant information relating to the strategy of the Grobogan Reservoir Village Owned Enterprise. Determination of the informants by means of purpose sampling. Based on the results of the study, the strategy used was SOS, meaning "Zinc is important for me". Starting from youth youth who are accustomed to meeting around the reservoir, then believe the reservoir can be turned into a tourist area, individual contribution capital without assistance from the village can attract visitors, the village finally provides assistance and is now a village-owned enterprise unit, the welfare of members of tourism organizations increases from 100 thousand / week to 300 thousand / week. The well-being of the local community came into being with various business stalls and stalls around the reservoir. The conclusion is that actions rationally based on clear goals and beliefs can arouse the spirit of making things happen, in this case empowering local communities through tourism development.

Abstract

Traffic safety is a critical concern on urban roads, including Jalan Mayjend Sungkono in Malang City, which experiences high accident rates. This study aims to analyze the influence of geometric road design and user behavior on traffic accidents from 2008 to 2020. Factors such as varying road widths, steep slopes, inadequate signage, and limited pedestrian facilities were identified as major contributors to traffic hazards. Additionally, risky driving behaviors and the dominance of motorcycles and private cars highlight safety challenges. The research employed a quantitative descriptive-analytical method. Primary data was collected through field surveys measuring geometric elements such as curve radius, superelevation, and grade. Secondary data on accident rates were sourced from police records. A polynomial regression analysis was conducted to determine the relationship between geometric factors and accident frequency. The coefficient of determination (R²) values for elements such as clear zones (57%), grade (50.04%), and superelevation (36%) indicated their significant impact on accident rates. Traffic patterns revealed peak hours during 6:00–9:00 AM and 4:00–7:00 PM, with weekend surges due to recreational activities. Results show that geometric improvements, particularly in clear zones and road grade, could substantially reduce accidents. Behavioral factors, such as speeding and abrupt stops by public transport, also exacerbate risks. Pedestrian safety remains a concern due to the lack of adequate crossings and sidewalks, especially near schools and markets. This study underscores the importance of integrated interventions involving road design enhancements and stricter traffic regulation enforcement to improve safety on Jalan Mayjend Sungkono.

Abstract

This study discusses the influence of religiosity on employee performance, considering the role of entrepreneurial leadership as a mediating variable. In the modern era, the development of technology and health systems increasingly impacts the quality of hospital services, which depend on the performance of human resources. One factor that can influence employee performance is religiosity, which is believed to enhance positive work behavior and quality service. However, the results of studies related to the connection between religiosity and employee performance are still inconsistent, with some showing significant effects and others showing no significant effects. In this article, entrepreneurial leadership is viewed as a factor that can strengthen the influence of religiosity on employee performance. This type of leadership emphasizes innovative decision-making, employee empowerment, and the development of organizational cultures that support high performance. Using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach, this study is expected to provide further understanding of how religiosity and entrepreneurial leadership are interrelated and influence employee performance, particularly in the healthcare sector. The findings of this study are expected to contribute to human resource management in hospitals and other sectors that require performance improvement through the management of religious values and innovative leadership.

Abstract

The growth of Chili pepper (Capsicum chinense Jacquin.) is affected by biotic and abiotic stresses. Abiotic stress such as waterlogging increases the expression of ACS (1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid synthase) enzyme. This enzyme plays a great role in the process of ethylene biosynthesis and encoded by multiple genes. Waterlogging causes hypoxia condition. One of ACS enzymes that responds to hypoxia condition is ACS2. The different respond to hypoxia stress among plant was assumed to be caused by a different structure of the ACS2 enzyme. This study aimed to identify and confirm the active site of Capsicum chinense Jacquin ACS2  using modeling and in silico docking. The result of the three-dimensional (3D) structure modeling showed 91% similarity of Capsicum chinense Jacquin ACS2 with the structure of the tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.). The Capsicum chinense ACS2 confirmed five active sites that bind to the substrates asparagin396B, valine397B, thyrosine152B, threonine128B, and thyrosine92A.
