Abstract

Ecoenzyme is an organic fermentation solution obtained from household organic waste, which has great potential in supporting sustainable environmental management. This study aims to review the benefits and applications of ecoenzymes based on current literature, and evaluate their relevance to global environmental challenges. The results of the review indicate that ecoenzymes play an effective role in waste treatment, pollution reduction, and improving soil and water quality. In addition, ecoenzymes also contribute to climate change mitigation by reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Despite its significant benefits, the adoption of ecoenzymes on a large scale faces challenges, such as the lack of standardization of production processes and the need for more in-depth scientific validation. Therefore, further research is needed to optimize the use of ecoenzymes and support their application in various sectors. This study is expected to be a reference for the development of environmentally friendly technologies that are in line with the principles of sustainable development. Key words: ecoenzyme, environmental management, sustainable development, climate change mitigation, organic waste

Abstract

21st century education emphasizes students to have high-level thinking abilities. However, in reality it has not been realized well, which is indicated by the inability of students to make good planning arrangements in the learning process. This is closely related to the metacognitive abilities that students must have. This research aims to determine the percentage of metacognitive awareness of Biology learning at MAS Insan Qur'ani, Aceh Besar. The method used is a Mix Method research design with an explanatory sequential design. The research sample consisted of 30 students. The research instrument uses a sheet in the form of a Metacognitive Awareness Inventory (MAI) questionnaire to see students' metacognitive awareness. The analysis test was carried out using percentages and the Independent Sample t-test. The research results show that students' metacognitive awareness is in the good category with a percentage of 75.14%. The lowest indicator of metacognitive awareness is found in IMS with a percentage of 47%, while the highest indicator is in DK with a percentage of 49.03%. For the calculated t test, significant results were obtained with a value of tcount ttable (2,156 2,000). Metacognitive awareness is very good to use in the learning process. It is hoped that this research can be used in learning materials contained in biology learning. And it is also hoped that teachers can use various types of learning models to gain better metacognitive awareness of students so that they can think analytically in dealing with various problems found in Biology learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the use of learning models on understanding concepts and students' motivation in invertebrate concept in class X at SMA Negeri 1 Sukamakmur. The research method used in this study is a survey method. The subjects in this study were biology teachers who teach in class X and students in class X at SMA Negeri 1 Sukamakmur. The instruments used in this study were questionnaires and interviews. Questionnaires were used to obtain data on student responses about student learning motivation in invertebrate concept. Interviews were conducted to obtain information about the using of learning models in invertebrate concepts used by teachers. The data collection technique was carried out by distributing questionnaires to class XI students to find out student responses regarding student learning motivation in invertebrate concept. Then interviews were conducted with the teacher to get answers from the teacher by means of one-sided questions and answers regarding the learning model used by the teacher in studying invertebrate concept. The data obtained were then analyzed descriptively. Based on the results of data analysis, it is known that the learning model used by the teacher when teaching invertebrate concept is Jigsaw. However, the learning model has not been able to improve students' conceptual understanding, this can be seen from the average score obtained by students which is still far below the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) that has been set by the teacher, namely with an average value of only 31. Meanwhile, the results of the analysis The questionnaire shows that 53% of students are motivated to learn and 47% of students are not motivated to learn about invertebrate concept. Almost half of the total number of students are not motivated in learning From the results of the study it can be concluded that not all learning models are suitable for use in every concept. This can be seen from the scores obtained by students who have not yet reached the KKM and the learning model used by the teacher has not been able to increase students' motivation in studying invertebrate concept.
